    I had a WD green 120Gb as cache drive and I saw the same results. Changed to a Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB and all problems were gone. Perhaps you have the chance to test another ssd.

    I remember this thread. Back in 2016 i had to disable the pstate driver because of the same problems. Later this problem was fixed for my old i3 4170. And now the i5 4690 has the same problems again. Perhaps since i installed this cpu. I never checkd the freq, i thought this is long fixed..

    Is there anything wrong with Tapatalk at the moment? Since yesterday Tapatalk dosn´t show anything in "timeline" and "unread". I´m using Tapatalk Pro, if this matters.

    Yes, works fine. Looks like a bug in 6.8.1 I tryed to downgrade to 6.8.0 with the same results Edit: If i leave the ca tweaks plugin installald the cpu throttels down after a reboot. If i uninstall the plugin the cpu stays at boost freq after reboot

    Here the same. Everytime I check the frequency with the cmd line my i5 4690 boosts at 3.9 Ghz. How can I monitor the cpu frequency? The grep command shows only one frequency.

    Hm ok. Then I will leave the tape on these two pins for now. The next unraid build should include way more server gear to avoid these problems.

    Hello, Well the topic shows the problem. The HBA card cuts the memory in half by disabling one dimm. After some reading I know it's a SMBus problem. The solution I found is masking pin 5 and 6 on the card. But, is there another more elegant way to solve this problem? Btw: A M1015 work fine without any problem... Greetings

    If the HBA runs to hot, you can screw a small 40x10mm fan on the heatsink to keep the card cool.

    I was a bit to afraid to remove the heatsink. But perhaps in the future I'll buy some screws and screw the the heatsink with the fan onto the board.

    Hello, I had a 250 GB cache ssd and added now a 256 GB ssd wich I had laying around. After balancing I ended up with 253 GB cache. I had expected it must be the size of the smallest disc in the Raid 1 pool. Where I am wrong? Greetings Ronny

    I want to report back, everything works as expected. Hba card works fine and the FW is the latest. Switching sata ports was also no problem. Screwing into the heatspreader is surely not the best way to mount a fan, but it works and keeps the card cool. So, thanks a lot for all advices.

    Only one thing? Hard, but I would say the easy setup is the best. Straight forward and manageable by an average user. Wish for 2020: keep the gread work up, this piece of software ia absolutely great!

Don't know how the pricing in UK is, perhaps that's an option for you. When the card is here I can tell if it works as expected or not.

    Ok, that's easy. I thought I have to figure it out somewhere in the bios of the card. I think the card is fine. The seller is from Germany too, and he has only positive ratings on ebay.     Hello everyone, Sorry for that maybe stupid question. Is it possible to switch Sata ports without any problems? Background is that my MB only has 4 Sata ports and I ordered a IBM M1015 HBA card.
