Did my cache disk die ?
Everything is running again. Should I be worried about my cache SSD drive ? It's 7.5 years old now. Guess it about time to replace anyway

Upgrade to 7.1.4 problems
Hi Just tried to upgrade from 7.0.0.1. Now Unraid wont boot from my USB, BIOS says it's not bootable anymore. For some stupid reason I didnt make a backup before upgrading. A bit worried to mess thnis even more up. This shows up on my Win11 PC and if I click on DVD is wants me to format. It's my Unraid USB Quote JorgeB Moderators 6 minutes ago comment_1583027 Try recreating the flash drive, first backup the current one, then recreate it using 7.1.4 with the USB tool, confirm the flash drive boots with the stock install, and if yes, restore only the /config folder from the backup overwriting any existing files. If you need further help, please start a new thread in the general support forum this thread is not the right place for support. Problem is that I cant acces the USB at all. I think it died :( Can I "reinstall" Unraid and get everything up again without losing data ? Got a lot of data, some dockers and 1 Windows 11 WM that I would like not to lose

Shrink array
Drives are empty. In a pool I would need 2 drives to "backup". Or could I set up some job to copy some folders from pool drive to array ?

Shrink array
Hi I want to shrink my array by removing some old 4TB drives. Will the array online while parity is rebuilding ? Can i swap an array drive to a SSD ? I know I want get quick write speed, but I need a drive to be spun up all the time with documents I read a lot and fast read speed would be nice to have.

Additional Scripts For User.Scripts Plugin
Hi Just ran the Clear an unRAID array data drive script on a 4TB drive and it only took 2 minuttes. Is this a succesfull run ? Script location: /tmp/user.scripts/tmpScripts/ZERO Drive/script Note that closing this window will abort the execution of this script *** Clear an unRAID array data drive *** v1.4 Checking all array data drives (may need to spin them up) ... Found a marked and empty drive to clear: Disk 2 ( /mnt/disk2 ) * Disk 2 will be unmounted first. * Then zeroes will be written to the entire drive. * Parity will be preserved throughout. * Clearing while updating Parity takes a VERY long time! * The progress of the clearing will not be visible until it's done! * When complete, Disk 2 will be ready for removal from array. * Commands to be executed: ***** umount /mnt/disk2 ***** dd bs=1M if=/dev/zero of=/dev/md2 You have 60 seconds to cancel this script (click the red X, top right) Unmounting Disk 2 ... umount: /mnt/disk2: target is busy. Clearing Disk 2 ... dd: error writing '/dev/md2': No space left on device 9+0 records in 8+0 records out 8388608 bytes (8.4 MB, 8.0 MiB) copied, 0.00268934 s, 3.1 GB/s A message saying "error writing ... no space left" is expected, NOT an error. Unless errors appeared, the drive is now cleared! Because the drive is now unmountable, the array should be stopped, and the drive removed (or reformatted).
