  1. I'm updating my test server and freed up a slot in the case where I am gonna mount a freshly precleared disk. The disks in this server are all RFS so I am gonna take this opportunity to switch them to XFS. Can I use MC to copy over the files in IPMI or is there a better way like Rsync? Should I disable parity to speed up things or can I preserver parity? Any advice is welcome. Running unraid 6.3.2 BTW.
  2. I use several in my server from the same family, the 6 TB HDWE 160 without any issue. Did you preclear the disk first? Don't understand thar .5 TB partition.
  3. Which preclear script do you use, the fast one from BJP? Which versions are compatible with unraid 6.3.2?
  4. I could reboot the server over IPMI, I had to just power down and restart. Luckily it didn't start a parity check and I could powerdown through the GUI this time. I then replaced a bad disk with a newly precleared one and started a rebuild on it. The system has been parity built checks etc. without problems the last couple of days. The problems started with this preclear plugin. I tried to use bjps script and all went wrong. I am more comfortable with preclearing from the CLI. This plugin seems to hang and You can't see what is wrong. It really could have a better error handling. The log is filling up with: Feb 28 18:08:05 Hal-1 root: error: plugins/preclear.disk/Preclear.php: wrong csrf_token
  5. I try to preclear a disk from the GUI with the installed plugin but after clicking start precleat all it says is starting now for 15 mins. clicking the red x doesn't stop it. How can I stop it without rebooting? The server is currently rebuilding a disk.
  6. I was running a preclear from the GUI which froze at 82% in the 2nd cycle. I ended this preclear and wanted to restart the server so I stopped the array and clicked power down, on the warning screen I clicked yes and got a blank screen and not the countdown. The server didn't powerdown this way. So I tried it in putty with powerdown. It hangs at The system is going down for system halt NOW! now for 10 minutes and the server still hasn't shutdown. How can I restart the server without facing a parity check on power up?
  7. Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Hope to replace them soon. Waiting for a preclear to finish. And running a parity check now.
  8. What do you guys consider more dangerous? A disk with 250 pending sectors or a disk with 35 reallocated sectors. Which would you replace first?
  9. The motherboard in my Main server has an Intel C602 chipset. It contains 6 SATA ports and 4 SATA ports on its SCU. These can be configured as RAID0. If I create a RAID0 volume on it will this be seen in unraid and can this volume then be added to the array?
  10. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=56222.msg536187#msg536187 I don't see e-sata controllers there. Already have m1015 and perc-h300
  11. Which e-sata controllers are known to work with unraid 6.3.1? preferably with an extra bracket for powering the disks.
  12. Once you have deleted the docker image file and created a new file, then click Add Container --> Select Template --> templates-user --> my-xxxx (xxxx = name of container you want to re-install) Thanks, all dockers are back now. Had to change to Advanced view. I could disable docker under settings too.
  13. You can edit the file /config/docker.cfg on your flash device and change the setting DOCKER_ENABLED to NO. You need to restart your server to start without Docker, this should give you the installation page and chance to remove and recreate the docker image. Now, we are getting somewhere. Can I still get my previously installed dockers back? The updates page in the GUI needs a note added to check the forum and release notes first.
  14. A lot had changed. A new Slackware version. Some plugins and packages may not be compatible. That might account for slow gui. To get the dockers back you probably have to delete the docker image and reinstall all of them using the my templates. Where can I find these templates? The option appears when you click "Add container" I don't get to the Docker page it is just a blank screen, so I can't click "Add container"

  16. A lot had changed. A new Slackware version. Some plugins and packages may not be compatible. That might account for slow gui. To get the dockers back you probably have to delete the docker image and reinstall all of them using the my templates. And this was all covered in the first post of this thread. You should always read the release post before installing a new version. I didn't see my specific issue listed in the first post, but I am aleady back to 6.1.9 which was backed up in the previous folder. 6.3.1 showed lots of btrf errors after starting docker they don't show up in 6.1.9.
  17. I updated my test server from 6.1.9 to 6.3.1 and it opens the GUI slow. My dockers also don't show up. Did I miss some special precautions? What can I do to get my dockers back?
  18. Hi, I run the Asset UPNP server on my server, which is based on sparklyballs work/repo. Right now it is at version 4.4. Can I update it to R5.1 or later? Or does sparklyball have to change that? Just the unpaid version is ok by me. But what if I want to change it to the paid version? How would I do that?
  19. Glad to see my issue was solved so quick. Hope it doesn't have any negative effects.
  20. It was more involved than I thought. It is related to doing a 'df' to get the size of the mounted device. Doing a 'df' will hang if a device is offline. I had to do 'df /dev/sdX', etc. I only partially solved it in 29a. I will be releasing a 29b today. EDIT: 207.01.29b is available. Much better already, the spiining wheel only appeared a few seconds and GUI is responsive immediately.
  21. Updated to the latest 29a version. I'll see what happens later this evening when my NAS goes off line.
  22. Thanks for the fast reply. At the moment I have my shares deleted but I am glad to set them up again and test. Is the new version released yet? I'll be glad to update the plugin.
  23. I experience some trouble with the unassigned devices plugin. I use it to get access to shares on 2 Qnap NASes. But when these shares go off line the plugin slows down unraids GUI. The plugin shows a spinning wheel on the webpage after it finally opens, which already takes fairly long. Switching from Main to settings or docker or whatever tab takes several minutes, making the UI useless until UD gives up on the shares that are setup. Is there a work around for this? Or can UD wait less longer for the shares to appear, say 1 minute?
