  1. Does this motherboard support IPMI with KVM?
  2. No! Oldskool Nintendo SNES or SEGA Megadrive or Neo-Geo!
  3. Is there really a difference between SATA II and SATA III cables? And does it matter for normal spinners which cable to use?
  4. I can understand, in such a situation I would freak out and just grab what used to work before and get everything working again asap. I still don't understand what happened though.
  5. It sustained 5 preclear runs without adding reallocated or pending sectors. It still has 8 months warranty left. I gonna add it to the array and keep an eye on it. If turnaround time of a RMA was within a week I would RMA it, but HGST nowadays takes more than 2 weeks.
  6. I have a disk that shows 1 reallocated sector, would you put this disk that disk in an array? It is a bit oldish, but SMART report looks ok as fas as I can tell. Or would you RMA it, which seems a bit troublesome nowadays here in Europe. SMART report is attached tower-smart-20160823-0320.zip
  7. Zou could even replace the AOC-SASLP-MV8 REV 1,01 with a flashed M1015 or Dell PERC H310. Disks would still be recognized.
  8. Be prepared you want other psus. There are now jet engines inside. The chassis fans too BTW.
  9. I think either one will do. But check if apcupsd is compatible and working with these models.
  10. I have a now ancient Dune Smart B1 which plays mkv, avi, dvd, bluray and others of my unraid server without using plex or any other means of transcoding. If I need a subtitle I can add them by dropping a srt file in the mkv folder. no need for transcoding that way. This also works with popcorn hours vten. A core i5 cpu would be sufficient and you can use you server for downloading tasks too with sabnzb, nzbget and torrent client dockers, no need for vm's.
  11. I don't know what file formats you want to play but I would try to get a mediaplayer that can play those formats natively. Think Popcorn Hour or Dune or perhaps Mede8er. That way you don't need to use Plex to transcode and run run Kodi and don't need to use virtualization. Let your unraid server just be a server, you also don't need a more expensive CPU with vt-d, although it won't hurt off course. You could use a motherboard with IPMI for remote manageability and run the server completely headless. Check ebay for an used Supermicro X9SCM-F with supported CPU.
  12. If you can boot with one processor, but get 1-5-4-2 with two, something's killing your 12V rail. Make sure you've got the 2x4 CPU power connector fully seated, and just run with a single DIMM to start with. well I send the board back to the store, and they send it to Intel. Intel send me an new and now the system runs well. Could well be a bad motherboard.
  13. It looks like a bad breakout cable after all. A 2nd Monoprice cable bites the dust. Are the wires in these cables stranded or solid? I look to replace all cables now. Can any advise me some sturdy cables? They should be available in Europe through Amazon. I need cables to hookup CSE M35 cages to M1015/Perc H310 controllers and sturdy but bendable. I might have been to careless handling and routing them.
  14. wasn't there a problem with saslp and sas2lp card. or is this already solved?
  15. At long last long self tests are running. I reseated several cables and disks, which are in SM CSE M35T cages, and now I have to wait. Is 580 minutes normal for a 4 TB disk?
  16. I tried a long test on disk 1 and got no such device. It also gave a connection error.
  17. Thanks again, How bad is it that SMART attribute 5 reallocated sector count shows values >5? Can this even happen on a new precleared disk?
  18. Thanks, How do I run a long SMART test on the disabled disk. I can't spin it up through the GUI an run a SMART test in the GUI cause it needs to be spun up. In the CLI smartctl doesn't seem to see it, maybe because it is on a M1015 controller or still part of the array?
  19. A couple of days ago disk 11 on my server showed disabled. It was replaced and succesfully rebuilt with 0 errors. I ran a non corrective parity check afterwards but it wasn't fully completed. Now 2 disks show errors and disk 1 is disabled. Please advice me on how to proceed. diagnostics are attached. tower1-diagnostics-20160730-0533.zip

Usa price much more reasonable at $179 Perhaps the Brexit has something to do with it? Then again Amazon Germany asks 210 Euros. https://www.amazon.de/CYBERPOWER-CP1300EPFCLCD-1300VA-780W-Line-Interact/dp/B0058RVIEC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469612930&sr=8-1&keywords=CyberPower+CP1300EPFCLCD
  21. A harddisk in my server shows disabled and after inspection of the SMART report I see attribute 7 Seek Error rate FAILING NOW. Please check the attached SMART report and advise me what to do. Replace it or try to rebuilt it on the same disk. The server is shutdown now. The high temperature of 68C is from a long time ago when a fan on my CSE m35T failed. tower1-smart-20160727-0742.zip
  22. I installed the beta plugin from here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=39985.msg453938#msg453938 But it doesn't show up under settings---user utilities. Can someone tell me where it is? This is on my test server which was recently updated from 6.1.9 to 6.2.0 RC2
  23. On my board they work fine, I don't remember how I set them up though. However, they work with a Seagate SAS SSD and with four regular drives using forward break outs. Are you using the same board or a similar with the C606?
  24. Are the C606 SAS ports working in unraid? If so, is flashing to IT mode required?
