[Support] CoolerControl in Docker
Am I missing something or is there a way to get alerts to go from the Docker to the Unraid Notification system. When I try to create a new alert I just get a weird windows popup:

[Support] Data-Monkey - netdata
To be honest I haven't read through this entire thread yet, but I thought I'd throw it out there in case someone has a quick answer... My server sits in my office and runs various things including my gaming machine that is connected to the TV in the living room. I want to tune the fans to run as quietly as possible without cooking the system... My thought was if I could graph the various temperature sensors in the system (I wonder if I could get the one from the 5090 from the Windows VM and maybe even the ambient sensors I have hooked up to Home Assistant) then I could see the trends and maybe delay the spin up of the fans a bit and get them to run longer... My NZXT board could delay changes to stop it from constantly starting and stopping. Am I barking up the wrong tree here? Is there a step by step for creating graphs that would combine fan speeds and temps? Thanks, I'll start reading now.

Sanity Check: Parity Check Speed
Notice [JUPITER] - Parity-Check finished (0 errors)Duration: 2 days, 2 hours, 22 minutes, 54 seconds. Average speed: 143.4 MB/s The Array has 7 Data disks and 1 26TB Parity Disk... Does this length of time make sense? Thanks

Issues with rebuild - massive mistakes within!
If his pool disks are functional, shouldn't he be able to drop them into a non pool or mount them with Unassigned Devices, and pull all the data off them into a new pool? Seems like les risk that trying to rewrite the cache.

Browser view without address for noVNC?
Has anyone found a way to get the noVNC window to open a little cleaner? I was looking for a way to JUST get the desktop window and almost got there: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe --headless="http://10.40.70.11/plugins/dynamix.vm.manager/vnc.html?v=1746576860&resize=scale&autoconnect=true&host=10.40.70.11&port=&path=/wsproxy/5701/" gives me: Which looks a lot better than with the address bar across the top. I know it's a little thing. Arbadacarba

VM Status not refreshing
I use a couple of VM's to do things like clone drives and repair systems... For various reasons the VM's need to shut down after each job so that I can swap out NVME drives from the reader to start the next one. It occurs to me that if the VM is shut down from within the status of the VM on the Dashboard or the VM page does not reflect the current state until you hit refresh on the browser. Is there a reason it doesn't keep up to the status? Thanks

[Support ] Netprobe
Installed and working.. Very slick so far. My need has abated since I moved from flakey point-to-point to buried fiber but still. Nice work.

[Support] binhex - MinecraftBedrockServer
Trying to get this set up for my kid and his friends... How do I secure it properly? I have the port forwarded through my firewall... I use tailscale for everything else but don't want to have to do that for the other kids... I tried to get the whitelist working and get a reasonable response when I add a user but Whitelist on responds with:

Non gui system resolution...
Would that mean I can't use the integrated gpu for dockers and such?

Non gui system resolution...
I'm trying to record some examples of the boot process to try and diagnose some odd messages. Trouble is my screen jumps to a VERY high resolution and I can barely read it. It starts out fine: But then switches to: I don't even have the words to search for an answer to this. Thanks

samsung 990 pro 4TB disappeared, for the 3e time.
I have a 4TB 990 Pro on my bench right now that did something VERY similar... It ran in a laptop for a few weeks to a month and the vanished... I rebuilt the machine, plugged it into a nvme-USB adapter to see if I could pull data from it and it would work for a while and then vanish again... Unplug and replug would get it working for a while and then gone again. Pulled all my data off and am starting the RMA process... So far Samsung RMA feels like it's a guy at a desk with no procedures just winging it. https://nascompares.com/news/samsung-990-pro-ssd-failures-updated-official-response-replacements-more/

[Plugin] FanCrtl Plus
Tempting...if only there was a one with just the temp sensors

Just curious about this warning (since decades already)
Pretty sure they are caused by the FanCtrl Plus plugin... I will post again when I reboot

[Plugin] FanCrtl Plus
Are you talking about sensors you have added to your server? As in external devices? Can you explain? The best I've been able to come up with is a Aqara Temp sensor in the case

Noisy Drives for Unknown reason

Warnings on Shares
My Shares are/were showing "Some or all files unprotected" on all the shares (I fixes the Anime share)... Some are almost certainly correct, but I don't understand why some of them are listed there... or why the casue hasn't been automatically corrected... Upon investigation, I find empty folders on my cache drive corresponding to each of the shares... I deleted the Anime folder from the Cache drive and the icon changed... I assumed these folders are created automatically when the system correctly places a file on the Cache drive when it is moved or saved... My question is: Shouldn't mover be clearing these folders when it has moved the files off of the Cache drive? jupiter-diagnostics-20251105-1013.zip

Noisy Drives for Unknown reason
Long story short... I just completely rebuilt my server, with new Mainboard and Replaced some drives... I've been moving Data around to organize it in my preferred method with each drive primarily used by one or more shares with most shares not being split among drives. It's been going slow but working. Last night while I'm working, I can hear the drives grumbling away... I'm not doing anything at the moment, but something is happening... as far as I can tell Mover is not doing anything, and the parity check is not running... This morning I have a notice that I have notifications about the current usage levels of Drive one: What is going on? None of the Shares on Disk one are allowed to go anywhere else... and I don't see any share folders on the other disks... I need to take a look at the percentages for the shares... 30% of a 26TB drive is a bit much to worry about... jupiter-diagnostics-20251105-1013.zip Honestly, I expect it's mover doing something, but where do I look to see what it's doing at this moment?

Just curious about this warning (since decades already)
- Log-level for "Parity-Check started" is warning instead of info / notice.
I posted about this earlier... In my case I was rebuilding the server and this was on a new array with a new Parity Drive.- Just curious about this warning (since decades already)
I get the same thing and run the same Dynamix plugin- CPU Testing Without the Array
My fans are being controlled by the FanCtrlPlus plugin and I'm pretty happy with that... I wish I could shorten the response time to spool them up faster but during the Prime 95 runs my case internal temperature is only going up by about a degree and a half. The fans are almost inaudible at idle and ROARING at full speed. As they should be. I tried bringing the offset up slowly and get a pretty reliable crash on worker 19, so I'll play with that a little later. I guess I could play with finding the right number for the Efficiency cores and then playing with just the Performance core offsets. In the end it didn't really change the idle temperature at tall... It sits at 44 degrees which is only 5 degrees above my mainboard temps... Does that make sense?- CPU Testing Without the Array
I ended up running the linux prime95 directly in unraid... turning array autostart off... So far I've offset the power by 0.05 volts and it looks like it dropped the temps by 5 degrees. 0.075 results in a crash on a couple of the e-cores as soon as I started. I'm going to fine tune a bit to see if I can get the offset a little higher.- CPU Testing Without the Array
I bought the wrong CPU for my system... and it runs a little hotter than I'd like. The Fans run a little fast and louder than I would like. I'm considering Undervolting my CPU and would like to test the system without the risk of an unclean shutdown messing with my array. I have found the Atomic Burn test in CoreFreq, but is there any other protocol I should follow. My intent is to set the Voltage offset up and raise it until I start to have trouble and then back off a bit. My system isn't running all that hot and so far it seems to be running fairly well. but I do dislike the extra noise and am incapable of leaving well enough alone. Thanks - Log-level for "Parity-Check started" is warning instead of info / notice.
