  1. Thanks, this helped with my new rig (currently, we'll see if this becomes an issue later). Corsair products on an Aorus X570. 1 x Commander Pro connected to only USB2 serial port on board. 2 x Lighting Nodes connected to Commander Pro, via Seria Ports. 4 RGB fans to each lighting node (4 each). 1 x Corsair XD5 Pump and 1 x XC7 waterblock, daisy chained to 1st rgb port on Commander Pro. The VM Windows 10 wouldn't start because it found the 2 lightning nodes with the same vendor and product id on the USB 2 and kicked up an error. I changed the Commander Pro and the 2 lighting nodes to their bus and device ids as found in the System Devices tab. This made a heck of difference to me, so thanks.
  2. Hi, I have an Aorus X570 Extreme, with 3 nvme slots containing a Sabrent Rocket 4 2tb and two Ironwolf 525 1tb each in the other two slots. The Sabrent in the first slot, idles at approx. 46 degrees. The Ironwolf 525s idle at approx. 56. I would expect the nvme to sit at a higher temp to a typical SATA SSD, which I have as an Ironwolf 520 480g idling at 35 degrees. The nvme drives sit under heatspreaders on the motherboard. The thermal pads were pre-installed on the heatspreaders. To me, this does not appear to be normal temps, but I've also not had a setup like this before. Can anybody give a comparison of their Aorus board with nvme under the heat spreader? I'm wondering if I need to buy aftermarket pads, but I would have to take apart my PC to access these slots, which I would prefer to avoid if unneccesary.
  3. Hi, My server is having a few issues and keeps going down. I cannot pinpoint the issue, but I'm overdue to build a new one. I wanted to future proof and settled on the MSI Godlike X570. However, I have concerns about the Killer NICs built in, plus this is likely overkill for an unRaid build. What I wanted to do is: Nvidia card for transcoding.....haven't decided on the model yet but I'm not a heavy gamer although I wouldn't write that possibility off. 128gb g.skill Trident ram. (32gb modules). Ryzen 7 5800x (Since getting a Ryzen 5950x is impossible at a reasonable price but I can upgrade the processor later). MSI Godlike X570 GODLIKE X570 I wanted 4 pcie slots and to virtualise Windows, etc. It looks like the bios supports turning the iommu support on / off but there is no further details. I've not had to deal with groupings before, so unsure how to approach figuring out if this motherboard will work. I doubt the Killer NICS will work on unRaid, but can I pass them through to Windows? What is the likelihood that I won't be able to pass through the GPU? Owing to the urgency of replacing my current motherboard, I've aimed high where I probably don't need to but will spend it if I know there aren't going to be too many compatibility issues. The MSI Tomahawk doesn't appear to have many issues from what I've read. I would be grateful for the input?
  4. Hi, Unassigned devices stopped showing up, I only realised when a backup failed because it couldn't find the drive. I rebooted to no avail and then uninstalled the backup and reinstalled. It showed a warning on the re-install although it seems to be working.
  5. Hi, Correting parity check worked first time from the 'Main' page. No errors. Literally, when I ran it through the plugin it aborted 5 times and always at completion. I've uninstalled the plugin for now, not that I have any evidence it was causing the issue. Thanks for your help itimpi.
  6. Okay, I'm running a correcting check now. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Thanks for your input.
  7. Hiya, I haven't cancelled it, I've tried this multiple times. I've uninstalled the plugin and started this manually. I thought maybe it was aborting because it was a non-correcting parity check and was set up to get to the end and abort so nothing got written as it says 0 errors.????
  8. Is this because its a non-correcting parity check?
  9. I had a problem with my watercooling pump which caused the processor to overheat and the server to reboot. So parity didn't complete a couple of times before I noticed it. I've tried to complete parity a few times now but it keeps aborting. When I last looked it was at 98% then told me later it had aborted. Am I looking at the parity log wrong? I've attached my syslog file. It looks like a parity tuning plugin issue, where I'm running it from. syslog.txt
  10. Hi, My unRaid server keeps going down. I need to identify the issue, but I'm really struggling to identify this in the logs. Mainly because the logs are not written to the flash drive. When the server starts up its a fresh log. Is there a way that I can change this or is there a continued log write somewhere that I'm not aware of?
  11. Okay, So for those following after me. I'm not very experienced with docker, but I pulled down the container manually and by doing so changed the environment variables, changing the heap size to 2g. I changed the second set of ES_JAVA_OPTS (in red) from Xms512mb -Xmx512mb to 2g instead. However, I've just noticed that there are two ES_JAVA_OPTS entries, the other one I've marked in yellow. This was a copy and paste from the original container install. No matter what I did I couldn't get the heap size to change from 512mb to any other size by setting ES_JAVA_OPTS as a variable in the CA settings for the container or via jvm.options inside the container itself. Anybody shed light on this? I would like to just pull the container down without all this phaff.
  12. I've been using Elasticsearch 7.9.1. On a docker image reinstall, I'm failing to get this to work again. I've moved to 7.9.3 in case it was a bug fix. I have a heap size issue. The pull down shows completed successfully, see the environment variable: -e 'ES_JAVA_OPTS'='-Xms4g -Xmx4g' which I entered. Later in it shows this as well: -e "ES_JAVA_OPTS"="-Xms512m -Xmx512m" When I do an "echo ES_JAVA_OPTS" inside the container, it shows that only 512m memory is being used. It appears as if the 512m is taking precedent. I've also set the minimum and maximum heap size in the jvm.options file. It doesn't seem to make a difference. Below is the container pull: I've tried this for most of the day. I've not had this problem before, I urgently need to get this up and running. Can anybody advise?
  13. I added OnlyOffice Community server to my unRaid. Afterwards, I couldn't stop / start /restart, etc. This was the same for all applications under Docker when trying each one individually. If I clicked any function like start or stop it the mini menu would freeze and nothing would happen. Squid recommended removing Docker Folder, when I went to remove it I noticed a new update pushed out today. Instead of removing I updated it to v2020.05.06. This fixed it. This was the original submission: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/91994-unraid-gui-docker-apps-canot-start-stop-remove-individually/?tab=comments#comment-852609
  14. Hi, Thanks for replying. I did look at the diagnostics and the logs before posting, but I must be missing something. Attached are the logs, I tried to restart Sonarr and Start ubooquity as an example. Appreciate your time. nexus-diagnostics-20200506-1302.zip
  15. Hi, My system has been fine up until today. I installed the OnlyOffice Community Server. It started after install and seemed to have a persistent error due to a mysql request repeating itself. I couldn't stop it or remove it. I then noticed this with all of the other apps. I can stop / start all apps but not individually. I've removed the docker image from Setup / Docker and reinstalled the apps. I've even tried to restore the app folder in desperation to see if this will work, but no difference. I'm moving the appdata folder off the cache drive (once again in desperation). The menu that opens up when you click on an app under Docker to start/stop/remove/edit etc. I can only edit or launch the site. Everything else freezes. Can somebody please help with this?
  16. My unRaid uses an old i7 920 processor. Its running well, but I wanted to enable hardware transcoding for Jellyfin. Turns out the i7 has no capabilities for this as I understand it. Is there anything I can do with a Radeon HD5850 graphics card to enable this? Its sitting in the server not doing very much. It looks like unRaid doesn't recognise them either 🤔 I've rummaged through the internet on this, and cannot find anything that supports this.
  17. I turned my old rig into an unRaid server. I have a Radeon 5850 in my server that is water cooled. I would like to use the 5850 to offload the hardware transcoding for Jellyfin. Is this possible??
  18. Hi, Bear with me as I explain this. I'm on Nextcloud 17 on unRaid with several other dockers. Recently, I've been attempting to get Oauth2_proxy working, behind nginx reverse proxy. I was setting up Oauth2_proxy on Unraid using a docker, with Nextcloud as the Oauth2 authority. I decided to use the airsonic for testing. I managed to reach the "sign into Nextcloud" page but couldn't get any further. When I went to look at the airsonic log on the reverse proxy, I found this immediately after the failed oauth2 attempt: 193.57.40.46 - - [22/Jan/2020:19:04:00 +1100] "GET /vendor/phpunit/phpunit/src/Util/PHP/eval-stdin.php HTTP/1.1" 200 The ip address is Ukranian. I wasn't connected to a vpn at the time, and this appears to be a malware exploit. When I copied and pasted this into my browser it took me straight into Nextcloud. I was already authenticated on the browser so that is not a concern. However, when not authenticated it takes me to the external https:// of the nextcloud subdomain. Fortunately, I have 2FA set up. Whilst not directly linked to Nextcloud, is this something that somebody could elaborate on? I'm concerned about the irony of using Oauth2_proxy by "pusher". I'm not being suggestive that the coder(s) have done anything wrong, however its incredibly ironic.
  19. Hi, Is there a way to adjust the display of the results page? The height of the rows and displaying the files and the overall window size is squashed. I cannot make out the results properly without exporting them to .csv first, which is less than ideal. I've tried looking in dupeGuru.conf file and adjusting some of the values for the layout. For example: ResultWindowIsMaximized=true ResultWindowRect=0, 40, 1280,30 (I've changed these figures already), they seem to get written back to their original values on restart.
  20. Hi, I'm a first time poster. I'm struggling to get my network configuration correct. So, the default setting of bonding starts up okay. What I've been trying to do is turn off bonding, and have bridging enabled for both ports. Currently, my server's two gigabit ports are plugged into a Netgear wireless extender connecting to my router. This is temporary until I can find time to wire in more network ports at home. What I'm attempting to do is have dockers running for typical services. Example: Nextcloud Calibre Sonarr Kodi Ideally these would be running on the first ethernet bridge. I would then like to have another dedicated ethernet port bridged with a static ip address that will act as reverse proxy, multi factor authentication, etc. Would this be better served through a VM rather than a docker, I wonder?? When I attempt bridging each port, it only recognises br0 and cannot see br1. br0 appears as custom br0 under docker network configuration. I've read up as much as I can. I have deleted my network configuration, tried setting my br0 as a static ip address, and br1 with no ip address so that it can be added in each docker instead, as suggested in a separate post. I've also tried more typical scenarios of assigning br1 with an ip address, etc. What isn't clear is that the second ip address cannot be assigned dns and gateway settings separately to br0. Not through the GUI anyway. The most I can get it to do is come up with an automated route of 'link'. I'm assuming to use br0 as a gateway to the router's gateway. Have I got this part wrong? Currently, I've just deleted my network configuration and am starting again. Any help would really be appreciated.
