  1. Second post in this thread says it doesn't need to be flashed. Did you end up picking this up? Considering this card for a work server.
  2. I have an asset management server setup where I work in Ubuntu on a Dell Precision 5810 with a Xeon E3-1650 and nVidia NVS 310. Not only is it being used to run a DAM but also share an editing drive for video editing accessible from two Windows systems. All that said, I would prefer to convert this system to an Unraid system for ease of use. The downside to this system is that is only has two drive bays in the case itself, and the two drives currently in it is set up as a RAID-1. I also have two internal drives connected via USB using an HDD dock (this is an editing drive and drive that it backups up to nightly), and then two MORE external drives connected via USB, one for video b-roll and one to backup video projects too. (Yes... it's a convoluted setup.) Unfortunately the company I work for won't spend a ton of money, but I would like to try and find a way to get these additional external drives in some sort of chase that can be connected to the main system but I have no idea where to start. Hopefully someone more proficient with Unraid and hardware here can point me in the right direction. I've seen eSATA and USB is not recommended with Unraid, so I'm trying how best to approach this without it costing a fortune. Any insight/thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I ultimately deleted the plugin and then re-added it and configured from scratch and that fixed the problem.
  4. I've been struggling the last week or two to access my server remotely. The error in the browser I'm seeing is "Access denied due to bad server certificate." Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, have you managed to fix it?
  5. Update which container, Linuxserver, or the Intel iGPU one?
  6. I'm trying to get Quick Sync working properly with Plex. I've got everything set up properly, however when I try to transcode a 4k file it always reverts to the CPU (a Core i7-9700K) instead of the iGPU like I want. However, when it's a non-4k file it works properly. See the attached screenshot. Any idea how to get the system to transcode 4k like it does other content? Update: Upon experimenting, it seems if I disable Enable HDR tone mapping everything works fine, however the colors are muted a bit and don’t pop like they should. Update 2: It's Plex. After a lot of searching I stumbled upon a post in the Plex forum. Rolling back to version 1.25.1.5286-34f965be8-ls91 fixes the problem.
  7. I'm hoping for clarification on a few questions, not so much about this container of Plex but Plex, 4k, and iGPU in general. I've spent hours searching the web but get conflicting information due to dates. My Unraid is running on a Core i7-9700K w/ 32GB RAM on an Asrock M365M Pro4 mobo. I have some 4k HDR content that remote users are struggling with even though my upload rate is nearly 900mbps and their download speed is over 150mbps. I also have quick sync (or, I guess, iGPU?) enabled and working with Plex as it shows hardware transcoding with the (hw) label. Yet with all this the PQ transcoded at 1080p 12mbps is pretty low. It looks like Plex used to have trouble transcoding HDR content to SDR but that's no longer the case. Is that still true? It also seems that using quick sync should be able to transcode multiple 4k streams without issue. Is that still true? Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix it? If this is the wrong thread is there a better place ask for help in understanding what may be happening?
  8. Well the format wasn't showing up anywhere so the only way I figured I'd get it to show up was to preclear (and it did). But I'll remember not to do it on SSD in the future.
  9. I just saw these responses after researching. I don't think the balance was done when I switched it to RAID-0, so that probably corrupted the drive. After backing up the cache drive I'm now pre-clearing them and will set them up again. That should do the trick.
  10. So I converted it to RAID-0 under the Balance option and now the majority of my dockers won't start up and I'm getting the error "Unable to write to cacheDrive mounted read-only or completely full." under Fix Common Problems. What did I bork?
  11. I have two SSD drives, both 240GB. I thought I configured it right so I would have a total of 480GB for cache but as you can see from my screen capture it's showing as only 240GB. Is my understanding of cache pools incorrect, or have I configured something wrong? Any help is appreciated.
  12. Woops, sorry about that. Got my containers mixed up. Sorry about that. Update: So I completely removed xthursday's docker and purged all its files, installed your version and, strangely enough, the same error reappears.
  13. Yes I’m aware of that, but what I don’t understand is if I set the correct time in BIOS, then Unraid sets the time wrong if I enable NTP. (And it’s not just Unraid, this also happens to my Windows box.) For both Unraid and Windows I have to set the time manually as opposed to leaving it to the NTP server.
  14. I'm confused as to why when I set the correct time manually in the BIOS Unraid sees the time completely differently when the NTP server is set. How can I get them to match properly? Do I have to just manually set the NTP server in Unraid?
  15. Disregard. I’ve decided after all the frustration with Ryzen and Unraid I’m going to swap the mobo/cpu out for Intel. Crossing my fingers that solves the random crashes.
  16. I'm running Unraid 6.9.2 on an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X. Every so often the system just locks up and the only way to fix it is for a hard reboot. Sometimes the system runs for weeks, other times days. The last time this happened someone here recommended I switch to an Intel NIC instead of using the onboard Realtek one. Unfortunately that didn't help. There wasn't much on the display so I tried to logged in there but nothing would type. I tried a Ctl-Alt-Del and after 60 seconds it said the system was unresponsive and went to the login prompt where, again, if typed anything nothing happened. I have C-state disabled in the BIOS as I know that seemed to be a fix for many, and the BIOS is running the latest firmware. I've attached the diagnostics for review. I'm also including a few screen shots of what appears to be when the error started happening. This is from the syslog-192.168.50.39.log file vs the main syslog file under System Log. Any ideas? Recommendations would be greatly appreciated. unraid-diagnostics-20210923-0816.zip
  17. Not as well as I probably should, unfortunately. I was trying to do it with symlinks but they were ghosted out in Plex. Figured it out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
  18. Has anyone setup Plex to record shows via the guide to an alternate drive? I have my main movies and shows part of the array, but I don't want shows I record for one viewing to be put there but, rather, on an alternate storage drive. How can this be achieved?
  19. I'm having a similar issue with the error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _() (previously declared in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/parity.check.tuning/Legacy.php:6) in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/Translations.php on line 19. For me it's showing at the bottom of the page. I'm running the latest version of the plugin.
  20. When running the Fix Problems plugin, Unraid reports an issue with this docker: "The template URL the author specified is https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xthursdayx/docker-templates/master/xthursdayx/whoogle-search.xml. The template can be updated automatically with the correct URL." Unfortunately if you click on Fix Problem is says it fixes it but the warning remains.
  21. I recently learned of Invidious (Youtube frontend) but upon reading more about it, it seems it's been abandoned and/or slow for updates. The last update came in 2019 as far as I can tell. There's an alternative that looks promising called Piped that seems less resource intensive and currently being developed. Any intrepid Community Devs want to attempt to bring this to Unraid? https://github.com/TeamPiped/Piped
  22. Lately I’ve been seeing the processors constantly being used in the dashboard but as far as I can tell no one is accessing any of my dockers. Is there some way I can see what is actually going on, see what docker/plug-in/software is using the processors at a given time?
  23. I'm not sure if this is available or even possible but I'm curious if there is a way to get an email from my Unraid server or a pop-up when logging into it that tells me what dockers were updated and what changes have been made? I'm fine with auto updates, I'm just curious what the changes are. Thanks.
  24. I'm just becoming aware of libreddit. Is there a way to log into my account from it so the front page shows what I'm interested in?
  25. Interesting. I just assumed false would bring it back since it's pretty standard for false to be opposite of true in configs. It looks like you actually have to remove the setting all together. Sorry about that.
