  1. Aha, I see, I'll give it a shot then. The next shot will be at shinobi to reduce delay (right now is about 30s) but its only using 3% cpu! Sent from my Mi 10 Pro using Tapatalk
  2. Hello, i'm trying to setup the MotionEye docker. I have 3 IP Cameras set to 1080p - 15fps - mkv/V4L2M2M Format When all 3 is capturing my CPU uses 20-25% (It's a Threadripper 2920!) and i think its a bit high for this kind of cpu. Tried also passthrough but still had about the same. (18-23%) I run on the docker's console the ffmpeg -hwaccels, and i got this: /tmp # ffmpeg -hwaccels ffmpeg version 4.2.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2019 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 9.2.0 (Alpine 9.2.0) configuration: --prefix=/usr --enable-avresample --enable-avfilter --enable-gnutls --enable-gpl --enable-libass --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libvorbis --enable-libvpx --enable-libxvid --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libtheora --enable-libv4l2 --enable-postproc --enable-pic --enable-pthreads --enable-shared --enable-libxcb --disable-stripping --disable-static --disable-librtmp --enable-vaapi --enable-vdpau --enable-libopus --disable-debug libavutil 56. 31.100 / 56. 31.100 libavcodec 58. 54.100 / 58. 54.100 libavformat 58. 29.100 / 58. 29.100 libavdevice 58. 8.100 / 58. 8.100 libavfilter 7. 57.100 / 7. 57.100 libavresample 4. 0. 0 / 4. 0. 0 libswscale 5. 5.100 / 5. 5.100 libswresample 3. 5.100 / 3. 5.100 libpostproc 55. 5.100 / 55. 5.100 Hardware acceleration methods: vdpau vaapi Is the HW accel enabled? 4. Hey, is there any chance to make it work also with docker networks? I have a chromecast on my "localdomain" network and a homeassistant docker in a "reverseproxy" network. (created with "create docker network reverseproxy") While i can ping chromecast.localdomain from homeassistant console, i doesn't appear in the devices even with manually setup. How can i repeat the mdns from one domain to another? I can't find how to setup avahi. Since pfsense doens't have access to "reverseproxy" domain
  5. Hey i have found some qBT themes but i can't make them work. While on a windows qbt client work. I don't know how to properly install them on a dockers WebUI. Tried to put the .qbtheme file on /config/themes folder on appdata and on settings set Alternate WebUI and pointed to /config/themes/file.qbtheme After that webui wont open and gives error "Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed" Any suggestions? Thanks Theme tried: https://github.com/jagannatharjun/qbt-theme
  6. Change the second adress tags to <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x03' slot='0x00' function='0x0' multifunction='on'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x03' slot='0x00' function='0x1'/> So it will be in the same virtual bus Now you should see 2 ports when booted
  7. Hello, i have set a Unifi Controller docker and gave it his own ip address, but i also want to make a static assignment on pfsesne. Do anyone know if dockers change mac address when they are updating or whenever? Except in the case i delete and reinstall them i guess. Is there any way to set a custom mac address? --SOLUTION-- I should do a better web search before, for anyone who might need this.. Edit container and on extra parameters add "--mac-adress 02:42:xx:xx:xx:xx" use a mac from a range of 02:42:ac:11:00:00 to 02:42:ac:11:ff:ff as this address are meant for dockers. I dont know it if works for macs out of this range
  8. I'm having trouble syncing content to my device for offline use. I tried Xiaomi Mi 8 and Samsung S10+, Both phones can direct play any file i have on the server, but when i try to sync for offline use in ORIGINAL quaility, it keeps converting it. I tried doing this https://mostlyirrelevant.info/force-plex-to-download-sync-videos-without-transcoding/ But keeps transcoding. All my files are converted with handbrake with this profile I would accept to transcode audio, but not video. It takes a lot of time and cpu power.
  9. I'm happy that this helped you! But i REALLY would like an explanation why it is working by doing a manually edit like this. Why the VM form creator doen't make it by it self. And how come none of the "geniuses" around here give that kind of solution. Does the auto xml creation work on others? Is this happening only on specific systems? I remember getting the exact same NIC card as SI just to avoid any problems. and also remember that i had a simillar system as SI. I'm totally noob in KVM stuff and i only figured this while i was watching a SI's video about passing a video card and he mentions about the multifunction thing. That was a lot of questions heh? SI = SpaceInvader
  10. Only on rc5. I have Rc7 and array won't start. I did this post on reddit, you could try that to downgrade. Didn't tried it yet. So do that at your own risk https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/comments/erknff/downgrade_from_680_rc7_to_rc5/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
  11. No, it have different kernel version, and array drivers so its not compatible
  12. Hello, i'm kinda new on KVM and virtualization. And mostly new on Threadrippers. I made a build a month ago and just found out what was the cause of my unstable system (RAM XMP... ) anyway. Now its rock solid. And trying to optimize my daily driver VM and dockers with cpu pinning. I read first pages of this thread but i got more confused in the end I would really like some of your suggestions on my setup and i could give back any info/tests if you want! Mostly need help on which cores to assigned based on the CPU topology and making modifications on XML about cpu topology and ram assigment. My CPU is: Threadripper 2920x (12C24T) - GPU RX5700 8GB- 32GB Ram My setup / needs are: Well Unraid - It should be good with 2 Cores i guess, i dont have more than 2 people copying from/to array and of them is me from the VM! VMS *Windows VM for Gaming with NVME on unassigned devices(not on cache) and RX5700 (Damn Navi bug.. ) - Will run only while gaming - 6 Cores/16gb ram? Had issues on Borderlands 3 when running under 18GB Ram. Was running out of memory. *Linux VM for daily use (Not need much power and soon will have a cheap gpu passed) 2 cores/4GB Ram should be ok - Will run 24/7 - 4GB Ram should be ok *pfSense VM as router/firewall - 2 Cores/4GB Ram should be enough. - Will run 24/7 Lightweight Dockers (those should all run fine with 1 core) - dont care if the slow down, as those dockers dont do anything important. *sonarr *radarr *bazarr *tautulli *jackett *deluge *duckdns *MQTT *Home-assistant *unifi-controller Heaveweight Dockers *Handbrake - This will never run while gaming so it can be assigned the same cores as gaming vm. *Plex - All my files are x264 so not much transcoding needed. Max 3 streams concurrently and 2 of the local. 15. Try changing the guest address so both pci devices are on the same bus - same slot Add multifunction on the 1st device and change the second device to function 0x1 Same on the 3rd and 4th just change bus number. Each pair should be on one bus. Just copy paste this over your XML for those 4 devices. Should work. DISCLAIMER! I don't know if its the right way to do this. But this was what fixed it for me! 18. Hello. i'm trying to passthrou my 4 port NIC to pfsense VM. I have followed SI's video I have stubbed the NIC and it appears on the VM editor. I'm selecting all 4 ports and boot the VM. pfSense only sees 1 port. (em0). The only way i managed to make pfSense to see all 4 ports was to manually change XML to this: By changing guest nic's addresses to: 01:00.0 01:00.1 01:00.2 01:00.3 from 01:00.0 03:00.0 04:00.0 05:00.0 Is this correct way to do it? Why with the default XML it only lists 1 port?
