  • I've tried something now but no garantuee that it works...   Open up the Unraid terminal and copy paste this: cd /tmp wget https://fastdl.minenet.at/nct-1.txz installpkg nct-1.txz depmod

  • Yep, exactly you have to download the new version for this Kernel version (so to speak the link has changed):   cd /tmp wget https://github.com/ich777/unraid-plugins-repo/releases/

  • I will create a plugin for your Nuvoton chip.

Perfect, thanks again!

I will create a plugin for your Nuvoton chip.

Hope you can help with mine as well? I thought this would be working in 6.9.0?

This program will help you determine which kernel modules you need
to load to use lm_sensors most effectively. It is generally safe
and recommended to accept the default answers to all questions,
unless you know what you're doing.

Some south bridges, CPUs or memory controllers contain embedded sensors.
Do you want to scan for them? This is totally safe. (YES/no):

Some Super I/O chips contain embedded sensors. We have to write to
standard I/O ports to probe them. This is usually safe.
Do you want to scan for Super I/O sensors? (YES/no):
Probing for Super-I/O at 0x2e/0x2f
Trying family `National Semiconductor/ITE'... No
Trying family `SMSC'... No
Trying family `VIA/Winbond/Nuvoton/Fintek'... Yes
Found `Nuvoton NCT5532D/NCT6779D Super IO Sensors' Success!
    (address 0x290, driver `nct6775')

Some systems (mainly servers) implement IPMI, a set of common interfaces
through which system health data may be retrieved, amongst other things.
We first try to get the information from SMBIOS. If we don't find it
there, we have to read from arbitrary I/O ports to probe for such
interfaces. This is normally safe. Do you want to scan for IPMI
interfaces? (YES/no):
Probing for `IPMI BMC KCS' at 0xca0... No
Probing for `IPMI BMC SMIC' at 0xca8... No

Some hardware monitoring chips are accessible through the ISA I/O ports.
We have to write to arbitrary I/O ports to probe them. This is usually
safe though. Yes, you do have ISA I/O ports even if you do not have any
ISA slots! Do you want to scan the ISA I/O ports? (yes/NO): YES
Probing for `National Semiconductor LM78' at 0x290... No
Probing for `National Semiconductor LM79' at 0x290... No
Probing for `Winbond W83781D' at 0x290... No
Probing for `Winbond W83782D' at 0x290... No

Lastly, we can probe the I2C/SMBus adapters for connected hardware
monitoring devices. This is the most risky part, and while it works
reasonably well on most systems, it has been reported to cause trouble
on some systems.
Do you want to probe the I2C/SMBus adapters now? (YES/no):

Managed to get temps on my Strix B550-E with acpi_enforce_resources=lax in my boot options, otherwise I get nothing but CPU temps. But the SYSTIN temp that seems to relate to motherboard temps goes up to 80-90C and won't come down even at idle which I know is not correct as it goes back down after a restart and is okay for a while, it also isn't showing anywhere near that in the BIOS. Is this because of the boot argument?

Did you get any clarity on this? I have the same mobo with the same issue.

Nope, forgot I posted this to be honest. I've just learnt to ignore the false reading I guess.

Is there any work being performed on a driver for Nuvoton NCT6681D/NCT6682D eSIO? I have a Thinkstation D30. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for making this plugin.

I now have cpu temps & also fan speeds working on MSI MAG B560M MORTAR WIFI Motherboard

Hello there,

I know its quite old topic, but I'd like to ask you for help with my problem.

My CPU and additonal fan keeps running on full speed.

I cant do anything about it. I've installed:

but nothing seems to work to have control on speed of those fans.

Is there any way I can configure it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Ohh btw. thats my unraid server setup:

This is to little information, please post your Diagnostics.

I also think that your Dell PowerEdge T30 (this is the only real hardware information which I can see from your screenshot) has a IPMI interface and you should look into that first to control your fans since I don't think that this system is controllable like a consumer system.

Can't help much with server hardware because I don't have hardware on hand to test and I also don't like these locked down systems (especially Dell, HP,...).

Just now, rogales said:

Here is my diagnostics file.

Have you yet looked into your IPMI?

There are also plugins for that in the CA App, but as said I can't help with that because I don't have such hardware.

As said above server hardware work most of the times differently than consumer hardware.

I don't see any indication that you have a NCT chip on your motherboard, so to speak, you should open up your own thread for that, however you should really look into IPMI and what you can do with it <- as said I can't help with that because I don't have such hardware and even don't know how to use it.

@ich777 thank You for Your quick response.

I'll try to manage my problem with IPMI tool. I've found pretty similar topic, so I try to find my answers there.

thank You.

Hello Everybody,

I´ve also a little stuck with a System Temp and Auto Fan Control on a B550 Taichi from Asrock. Maybe someone has already done it with this bord. The Problem is that the Fans are not shown in the “System temp” Plugin also not the NCT 6775. I think the Driver is a problem

What I’ve done until now.

reinstalled the System Temp Plugin (alot)

reinstall Nerd Pack

tipped Sensor Detect in the console and added the sensors with Mudprobe in the go file

changed Bios fan settings to every possible setting

Installed the Nuvoton NCT 6687 Driver pack

Added "append initrd=/bzroot acpi_enforce_resources=lax" in the start sequenz of the flash drive

Ask in the German forum

Googled a lot.

Attempt this workaround

asked in the Dynamx support Forum

And now here.

Would be nice, if someone has some advice and could help me. I´m realy out of ideas.
