December 6, 20223 yr I noticed if you are navigating paths via unraid file manager plugin, then try to use GUI search it redirects to a malformed URL Normal operation When in file manager paths or in some cases shows like this
February 2, 20233 yr Author Yesterday's update changes things around a bit. The search bar is no longer present under black / white themes. Instead a search icon is present at the top right. Press it and the search bar appears CTRL K (or CMD-K for others) automatically opens the search bar and applies focus to it. After selecting the search from the autocomplete, the relevant text will be highlighted on the new page (works best on Chrome). Due to various methods of building a page, this doesn't always work Minimum OS version is now 6.11.0 If you happen to be running a beta series of 6.12 then the plugin will not work on beta 1-5. It requires beta 6+
February 2, 20233 yr Cool addition with ctrl/cmd + k. Found a small bug with it. Hit ctrl/cmd + k again and again and again…

I think it is a bad decision, since for usability search bars should be always directly visible and accessible, without looking for a little tiny extra button that adds an extra click. (You can compare it to the useless extra click in the Windows11 context menu to acces all options) It would be really great, to at least get the option, turning the static SearchBar in Black/White Designs back on. February 21, 20233 yr Minor issue I just found. I noticed if you are on release that is not supported by the newest iteration of the plugin (e.g., 6.10.3), it will cause the update all plugin button to never exit... just seems like download or install process has hung. Of course closing the popup and refreshing showed all was well, although I possibly got lucky alphabetically that GUI Search was the last update. Not sure if an Unraid OS problem, or a problem with the way the plugin exits, but thought I'd raise it here anyway.
July 30, 20232 yr Author Today's release adds in the translations for all of the search terms. When the GUI is running in a non English language, the autocomplete works against either English or the language you're in.
August 2, 20232 yr I just saw this on the featured apps. This would have been an incredible tool when I was a new unraider. Great tool, thanks for creating! Edited August 2, 20232 yr by VideoVibrations

The webgui needs to work on a variety of screen sizes and the search bar takes up a significant amount of space. There are no additional mouse clicks with this method, you click once on the icon and then start typing. Or you can keep your hands off the mouse entirely and press CMD/CTRL-K. I don't see this changing back.

I do some UX design and would really like to help.

April 4, 20242 yr This may only be a me issue; after updating to Unraid 6.12.10 this plugin has seemingly disappeared from my system and the App Store. If anybody has any insight on this please let me know. I don't remember anything in the changeling and it missing from the App Store has me quite perplexed. Edited April 4, 20242 yr by MILDEW

Because I never expected for the OS to reach 6.12.10 so it was marked as the maximum version allowed of 6.12.9 Fixed. Should reappear in Apps shortly
July 22, 20241 yr Hi, just a minor issue. Using the Azure theme, the box behave as per attachment. Is there a way to move it or minimise it? Thanks
December 5, 20241 yr I don't know if it is coming from the search webgui plugin or the Tailscale plugin but the links are broken when searching tailscale as it is adding "/preclear" to the URL's so it is malformed like "http://192.168.X.X/preclear/Settings/Tools/Tailscale" but the plugin opens correctly from the plugins page.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that URL, and it is 100% correct If you watch the URLs as you navigate around the WebUI, the previous parts are the "history", and is where you wind up when you hit done. Only the last item is really relevant. FWIW, you can manually enter in 192.xx.x.x/Main/Tailscale and wind up at the exact same place as /Settings/Tailscale In your case, you did the search from the settings page of preclear.
