slize
Isn't there an option to encrypt the new 'pool' devices like the array disks? Maybe i am missing it, but i just created a new pool and the drives are formatted to btrfs instead of encrypted btrfs. Quote Link to comment
John_M
It works with the "Cache" pool and multiple pools are just an extension of that idea so I believe it should work, though I don't use it myself. If you haven't started using your new pool try changing it or see here: 1 Quote Link to comment
bonienl
Each individual pool can have encryption or not, just like the array. Stop the array and go to the pool (cache) settings and change the file system type. Note: when a pool consists of 2 or more devices, it will always use btrfs. 2 Quote Link to comment

Thank you - i searched for that option in "Disk Settings". That looks way better now :-). Also thank you too @John_M! Quote Link to comment
dja
@bonienl , my cache pool is BTRFS, can I change it by just selecting BTRFS Encrypted without losing any data or do I need to move it off cache first? Quote Link to comment

Changing to an encrypted option involves reformatting the disk(s) so you first need to copy any existing contents elsewhere. There is not any in-place encryption of existing contents 1 Quote Link to comment
