Heads up, this plugin version is not actively maintained. Folderview3 is where you will want to go for the latest requests https://forums.unraid.net/topic/197223-plugin-folderview3/

I updated to UnRaid 7.01 and I can't even export my previous folders. When selecting "Export All", the browser just opens a blank page and gets stuck trying to load "something" but it NEVER completes.  I'm holding in place now until next week to see how the further development of the fix comes along.

I had the same issue but fixed by doing this

Go to your flash drive, save this file config\plugins\folder.view\docker.json and vm.json
uninstall old folder view plugin
install new plugin https://github.com/VladoPortos/folder.view
overwrite config\plugins\folder.view\docker.json and vm.json with the one you backed up earlier.

are you using the VladoPortos version or the scolcipitato version?

I'm using the scolcipitato "original version".

I had a similar issue and it was because I'd saved the file from github using right-click save-as which looked like it had the right file extension, but actually had html as the contents. I needed to use github's "download raw file" button to get the proper contents and then it worked like a charm.

IT Worked! thank you so much for the suggestion

if you read a couple of pages back, scolcipitato has abandoned the project, so there will be no "further development" or "fix" from them.

follow instructions from VladoPortos to get on the new version of the plugin. my folderview was broken on 7.0.0 until i updated to VladoPortos. still on 7.0.0, so i cant speak to how it will work for you on 7.0.1

Thanks man, that along with getting the Github raw plugin worked.

You cant just replace, because the plugin definition file have md5 of the files, however I tested your changes with the limited time I had and it did not break anything it seems in v7 at least my instance still works :D It might be now backwards compatible ? Try to install the version folder.view-2025.02.26.txz with the folder.view.plg in repo ( i just pushed it ) if that works on pre v7 unraid.

folder.view-2025.02.26.txz doesn't work with v6.12.15 it says it require 7.0

The script below by TurboStreetCar worked !

@VladoPortos Much appreciated. Question, would it be possible for you to update the archive file for version 2024.10.02 for those of us not using Unraid Version 7?

I attempted to create my own archive file, but when installing the plugin, it downloads the archive txz from github and overwrites the custom txz archive file.

Not sure what the best way to go about this is. To fix on pre Unraid version 7, you must upload a fixed folder.js file, and copy it to the correct directory manually.

In my experience, folders still work without the fix, but creating new folders is broken. Ive attached a fixed folder.js file for pre Unraid Version 7. It must be placed into the directory "/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/folder.view/scripts" after installation for anyone attempting to fix in the mean time.

folder.js 17.79 kB · 3 downloads

I also had this. Uninstall the plugin version you have installed.

Then follow the manual steps to install: https://github.com/VladoPortos/folder.view

Exact same here. Did you find a solution?

Yes, will do tomorrow, thanks. I had quick look at it but only had phone with me for last 3 days, and I just come back home.

Also for people with older versions of unraid there is https://github.com/VladoPortos/folder.view/tree/test-unraid-6 that had the required versions lowered to 6, but I could not test it yet... so not sure if that works.

Everybody. please if you have issue with the plugin, I turned on the "issues" section here, drop the issue there so its in one place and I can try to solve it.

Do you mean my Unraid boot drive? I am confused by your steps.

/boot/config is on the boot USB yes. you can manage it from the terminal or from the web ui with the file manager.

You can also access it over the network if you enable "export" in the settings for the flash device if you are mover comfortable with that, but it's good to disable that when not using it.

Oh I see, I haven;t done that for a while, and I'm really tired atm thanks a lot.
