cbr600ds2
Hello all, I know this isn't a terrible "storage" related question but I was curious as to what people use for downloading torrents nowadays. I use Vuze but so far have been pretty unimpressed with the speed lately and have thoughts of moving to transmission (yeah I'm a mac user) What do people use? Quote Link to comment

Vuze is bloated as far as I am concerned. Transmission has always worked well for me. Though I rarely use torrents since moving to SABnzb and Sickbeard. Quote Link to comment

neilt0
I recently dropped astraweb after a ton of incompletes and went with SuperNews. They are a GigaNews reseller, so you get their completion, but without the price. Go through this link to get it for $9.99 a month: http://www.supernews.com/super-special/# Quote Link to comment
whiteatom
Utorrent, good on both the Mac and pc, but I have also switched to usenet... Quote Link to comment
rgb30
"downloading torrents" = oxymoron Quote Link to comment
j.metts
I used rtorrent for years, but since switching to usenet and rarely looking for torrents, I no longer found the need to have an always running client. Now for those rare cases, I use uTorrent. Quick and easy. As for usenet, I've been with Giganews for about 5 years now. I like what I see with supernews....hmmmm. Now its got me thinking, "How loyal am I to Giga?" Quote Link to comment
Heretic
use transmission on my unraid and utorrent on my pc odd basically did things the opposite direction. used to use usenet a lot now mostly torrents (private trackers) still use usenet now and then have a yearly astraweb account here is a link to a yearly 96$ subscription thats 8$ a month http://www.news.astraweb.com/specials/voucher.cgi?t=zgufplhxfr2cwsw Quote Link to comment
Traxxus
I switched to usenet a long time ago as well, supernews. I very rarely use torrents these days, everything and more is on usenet as well and faster to download, no worrying about seeds, and no worrying about letters from your ISP. Quote Link to comment
