I basically did the exact samething but who knows. It's not the same base docker image.GitHubGitHub - UberDudePL/windrose-dedicated-server-docker: Doc...Dockerized Windrose Dedicated Server (SteamCMD + Wine) with persistent saves and 24/7 hosting setup. - UberDudePL/windrose-dedicated-server-dockerMaybe just to see if it's related or not.Well I thought it would be as simple as taking out your repo and pasting in "ghcr.io/uberdudepl/windrose-dedicated-server-docker:v1.0.0" and re-starting the docker. Ah no. That failed miserably. LOLHis name "UberDudePL" doesn't come up in the dockerhub search in CA either so can't find it there.I have enough knowledge to be a danger to myself. I've gone ahead and removed everything related to the Windrose container/template/appdata folder. I don't want to get too far into playing a local copy because then I'm going to have to rebuild everything all over again once everyone figures out the kinks in the UnRaid dedicated.
April 15Apr 15 Author Oh you could simply go the docker compose way by hand and start the docker. Just like you did the docker pull. He did document everything on its Github.I do see in the steam page other user reporting samething. I also saw so. Where (cant find the page anymore on my cellphone) that if it can't reach the relay server, it will close or do something like it after a timeout. Information isn't that big for the dedicated server right now. And the fact it's upnp to a relay server in Russia with no direct connection, really weird. Edited April 15Apr 15 by Nodiaque

I mean it could explain a few things like why it isn't reachable, lots of isps actually block access to that country right now
April 15Apr 15 I have a problem with this Docker. I can connect to the server normally, and then the CPU usage is around 15%. But when no one is on the server, the usage goes up to about 65%, and two cores are constantly at 100% even though nobody is connected. How is that possible, and what can I do to fix it so it goes away?
April 15Apr 15 Author Hello, what docker are we talking about? This thread contain 3 different docker. I guess it's probably Enshrouded, which is kowned to have serious performance problem. You could try to use the proton or the non-proton version to see if it work better.

I saw in the thread that the game doesn't work properly if there's no screen. Some use xvfb to remove that problem. I'll create a new baseimage with wine and xvfb to test. I never did that so we'll see how it goes

I´m talking about Windrose

April 15Apr 15 ahhh okay, thank´s. I was just wondering why the CPU load is higher when there are no players than when there are.
April 15Apr 15 Author Ah, I really can't say, I'm just running the server XD. I don't even own the game. Maybe you could check in the dev forum for the game (I think they are mostly active on steam). Did you manage to have a working game? Some other user here are reporting crash problem after the tutorial.
April 15Apr 15 @Pieper your posts are making it sound like you were able to successfully connect to your dedicated server - is this true?

Looking at the logs, there were a lot of different things going on in the background of that other person's container than yours when it was first booting. Regardless, the end result is still the same error message as your container that I posted earlier:Condition: 'false' Message: Unexpected BL disconnect. AccountId 4E9E699D48B726BCB33017A99F25F30D. April 15Apr 15 Author Yeah we all do things differently. The UberDude one use xvbf to create a fake screen, but since Pieper has it working, I think it's something else. Maybe connection block to the relay server? Are you able to run one on windows without any problem?
April 15Apr 15 i have played 1 hour for tests and i had no issues. No disconnects, the only Problem i have is that the server cpu load is high af.

I've got to head out to Belgium for a few days in a little bit so, I will keep an eye on this thread. When I come back, I will try the "self host" thing and report back if any issues. Sorry I can't do more at the moment. I have to pack and get ready to go.26 minutes ago, Pieper said:i have played 1 hour for tests and i had no issues. I'm wondering if it is the whole "Russia" ISP blocking thing that someone mentioned earlier?
April 15Apr 15 The windrose container is working fine for me, thanks!I started the server. waited for time so it was booted all the way.shut down the container, changed the settings i wanted to changestarted the container again.used the invite code i found in the serverdescription.json fileand its working fine. Not sure if its correct but id did change the "P2PProxyAddress" to the actual ip adres i gave the docker.
April 15Apr 15 To people having connection issues with Windrose booting you to the menu screen or crashing your game when trying to connect to the server: I found that switching the Network Type to Host fixed the issue.
April 15Apr 15 Author That would be because of the upnp I think. With host, it use directly the nic of the host which give it full access.
April 16Apr 16 can confirm with Windrose docker, I am unsure if anything changed since yesterday (maybe the relay server is more accessible) but I changed it from bridge to host, and my server showed up instantly on the list without an excessive wait time, and I was able to join it after a rather long loading screen. Awesome!
April 16Apr 16 Author I saw many other docker using xvfb, I think I'll make another version with it. The question is does it make a difference for the performance. Or does it remove the need for bridge network
April 16Apr 16 Author I've push a new tag and updated the template. There is now a new repo nodiaque/steamcmd:windrose-xvfb for those that would like to try with xvfb to see if there's a change in performance. It might also work as bridge network.I tried today to run the non xvfb in bridge and I don't see the error we had yesterday. Wondering if the dev fixed something
April 16Apr 16 @Nodiaque Greetings from Belgium. After waiting a few hours trying to download Windrose on the horrible Hotel WiFi speed and then Wireguarding into my Unraid server to start your container, I can now report that it works!!!I did not need to change it from bridge to host. It just works now.As others have stated, wow does this thing eat up some CPU and RAM even with no players on it. The DEVs need to do a lot of optimization and, quickly. Thanks again.
