I tried 1.3 and I can't get SickBeard to talk to XBMCSalud.

When I test the connection I get the following:

Test XBMC notice failed to 192.168.1.10:9091

In the Sick Beard Error log I get the following:

2013-12-31 12:36:44 CP Server Thread-8 :: Failed to detect XBMC version for '192.168.1.10:9091', check configuration and try again.

When I re install the old version of the plugin it all works fine.  What info can I post for you ?  What can I look for ?  This is the latest 5.04 of UnRaid

First and foremost, thank you for the work you've done on this.

Second, I really need to run Gotham as I had already updated to Gotham on my primary and secondary HTPC's.  Now I would love to be able to run Gotham as SaLUD.  I know you're busy, you did the poll and decided to stay with production, but would you be willing to show me a possible path?

Thanks!

James

I'm getting a failure to update the XBMC addons database. Anyone seen this before? Any clue what could be wrong? The database is there and permissions are good to go.

what version of the plugin are you using?

It might be. I have never been able to recreate the issue but it is possible one of the recent changes will fix it. Exist2resist says couchpotato has issues pushing xbmc updates with python 2.7. While I have never had any problems with it, this version uses 2.6 so it may be fixed. If you try it let me know.

This is what I got from digging around on the Couchpotato forum. I stumbled upon a post where someone mentions this.

Having said this I'll be testing v1.3 shortly.

Thanks for the recompile with older version of Python.

so, because of the motherboard issue, i had to wait on fixing 1.3 but i am looking at it again. for those having the notification issue, are you getting it when updating or when doing a test notification? i see dalben is getting it in a test notification but what about others?

i get a test notification to go through just fine but on update got the issue. i did not get a chance to even see if it updated regardless of the error though.

I get it on test notification.

Also for me, I noticed that when I start salud it does not appear in processes under the Utils tab.

Under the plugin tab it shows it as running, but it does not show up in the processes.

If I hit start it shows it executing the start up but it never starts.

I'm rebooting my server right now, I just removed a couple plugins.

I will attempt starting it again after reboot.

EDIT: After reboot still the same thing. If I attempt to start it it fails to start.

Noticed these two lines in the log.

16:12:34 T:3036735248  NOTICE: No settings file to load (special://xbmc/system/advancedsettings.xml)
16:12:34 T:3036735248  NOTICE: No settings file to load (special://masterprofile/advancedsettings.xml)

I put advancedsettings in the '/boot/config/plugins/xbmcsalud' directory.

Looks like it's not finding it.

Link to comment

It is all there, advancedsettings.xml and sources.xml.

Where does it copy the file to?

cp /boot/config/plugins/xbmcsalud/sources.xml $DATADIR/portable_data/userdata/sources.xml
cp /boot/config/plugins/xbmcsalud/advancedsettings.xml $DATADIR/portable_data/userdata/advancedsettings.xml

it copies them so that the user can just keep the files in the plugin config folder instead of trying to track them down if they want to make changes. xbmc itself can start without them but the plugin is written so it will not invoke the command to start xbmc if those two files are not found. first it checks for sources.xml then advancedsettings.xml

when you try to start xbmc from the webui do you get this message?:

Needed file does not exist: advancedsettings.xml

check to make sure those files got copied to the right place. i'm not sure why it wouldnt copy them. ive never had any reported issues and it is a simple copy command. maybe a permissions issue is preventing it.

Yup, it copied the files in there.

When I start it from WebGUI everything goes fine, it gives me a ...OK at the end of the line.

Starting XBMC SaLUd:  sudo -u nobody XBMC_BIN_HOME=/mnt/system/xbmcsalud/install XBMC_HOME=/mnt/system/xbmcsalud/data /mnt/system/xbmcsalud/install/xbmc-server.bin --no-test --headless -n -p... OK

Should I be running this as 'root'?

if memory serves, it shouldnt matter. i dont even recall if i run it as root or nobody.

dalben, could you check your advancedsettings.xml in you plugins folder and the guisettings.xml in $DATADIR/portable_data/userdata/ and see what the values are for <backgroundupdate> or if it doesnt exist at all?

there should be one for the video library and one for the audio library.
