Interstellar
Just a (silly) Question: Whats going on with this GUIs??? Simple Feature is dead and this "new" GUI is not working??? Did all programmes leave Lime Tech alone or what? It seems for me, that this change to GitHub was a bad decision Can someone give me a "clear" statement of this GUI-Chaos - thanks Supplied GUI - Offical 'Stable' GUI. webGUI on Github - 'beta/testing' GUI. SimpleFeatures - User made GUI - no longer works on 5 stable and later (properly) Bottom line is the supplied GUI is the supported one, above and beyond that it is down to you what you use. jowi
this "new" GUI is not working??? It works on v5.0. I do agree it takes a long time for updates, but the basics work just fine, and its a nice improvement over the stock gui. Quote Link to comment

jowi
Working on it.... Can you tell us what you are working on? I'm hoping you are focussed on porting addins like the SF stats etc? Or just minor fixes, like the spindown icon which is missing? Quote Link to comment

Agree with this. However, it's shame that until a week before 5.0 went final SF worked great. It's obvious that the github GUI was a rushed job to try and make it into final 5.0 - I'm frustrated that it's been however many months and no progress has been made to replace functionality that we HAD and now DON'T HAVE. My 2 cents.... **Also, 3 word updates are welcomed but perhaps a little shorter than is required. Often after a limetech post there is a flurry of people going "ah what do you mean exactly?" where a one paragraph update would explain eloquently what the exact state of affairs is. Public relations havn't exactly been this product's strongest suit from the top (thank goodness for the community). Quote Link to comment

This is a slow process as I'm struggling to find time at the moment. Quote Link to comment

jowi
From the 5.0.4 thread: Sorry development of 'webGui on github' has taken a back seat in order to solve some other pressing issues. I'll be able to get back to that now & that should be the next thing released, barring any huge issue with 5.0.4. After 'webGui on github' has been pushed, next will be release 5.1 which will incorporate whatever current state of webGui is at that point. Very soon thereafter will be release 6.1, which is just like 5.1 only 64-bit kernel. Thatz the planz anywayz. Maybe Tom should open a 'unraid roadmap' topic. Quote Link to comment

And the Gui always rsets my Options for the scheduled mover when i start it by hand. Very annoying! I think the focus right now is at trying to get 64 bit unRAID and also the new unRAID NG to come to life. Only then we would most probably see something about the new webGUI. Quote Link to comment
jowi
No Update in 5 months. Still is not working on 5.0.4. Works perfectly on 5.0.4. You're probably doing it wrong. It was DESIGNED for v5.x ... Quote Link to comment
darkside40
No i am doing nothing wrong because i never tried it. And why didn't i try it, because Tom stated some posts above that you shouldn't update the new webGUI when you running 5.0.3. And so i thought that 5.0.4 would behave the same way. I would call this lack of information, unfortunately a common problem here. It good that the focus is on other parts of unRaid right now. But than i ask myself why Tom started with this new webGUI. Would been better to give proper support to speedingAnt so that he can make SF work on 5.0Final and above. Maybe i try Boxcar etc. next. I don't see were the Road is going for this new webGUI Quote Link to comment
limetech
Right, I really apologize for this guys. Here's what I'm aiming for: 1/ Publish 5.0.5 - this has a couple minor fixes 2a/ Publish 5.1-beta1 - this is 5.0.5 with latest 'webGui' integrated. 2b/ Push this 'webGui' onto github as 'webGui-master'. 3/ Publish 6.1-beta1 - this is 64-bit unRaid with numerous updates including 'webGui-master' and virtualization support. Idea is webGui will run on both platforms. Quote Link to comment
