ars92
The upgrade worked for me. Running version 5572 now. I assume you mean for Emby? Strange how it fails only for some people, yet we are all running the same software. What unraid version are you using? Yeah, emby with the new plugin is running well for me so far. Running unraid 6.0 b14 Quote Link to comment

PhAzE
I haven't changed anything, so it's a problem with github. I've seen it happen a bunch of times, it doesn't like hosting binary files. Wait a few minutes and try again. Quote Link to comment

PhAzE
Ya if you haven't rebooted after removing the plugin the dependencies will still be installed. Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
Try this version of the plugin. Make sure to reboot after you install it. Embyserver.plg Quote Link to comment
FredG89
Did you try a fresh install and delete the previous data? I've noticed that media browser leaves behind a lot of files when you uninstall. Quote Link to comment
steind
Try this version of the plugin. Make sure to reboot after you install it. I gave this new version a shot just now, and it starts up just fine now. No more ImageMagick/WebP errors on my system. My process: Uninstall old plugin, reboot the server. Install your attached Emby plugin, reboot the server. Set my custom cache/config folders, enabled the plugin and it fired right up! Thanks PhAze for the help. I didn't look through your install script to check what dependencies you changed. What was the change you made in this version vs the 04/02 version? Steind Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
I recompiled imagemagick on two new clean VMS using trolley and a slackbuild script. Added in libxft and expat dependencies and removed GCC which has caused problems in the past with Plex also. It was quite a pain since it has a problem compiling with pango but all good now. I'll make that the new file on git soon. Glad to have that off my plate lol. Quote Link to comment
GroundType
Followed steind's process, and I'm back in business. Thanks again. Edit: Beer sent. Quote Link to comment
OCDKV
Just updated all my plugins to v2 . Aside from a few issues (due to my own inexperience's) and migrating from Influencers SAB plugin (I then had to completely reconfigure SAB), all went very smooth and everything appears to be up and running. Thank you. Beer on the way! My question is when I upgrade to unRaid 6 (currently running 5.0.6) will your v2 plugins still work seeing as they are universal for unRaid 5 & 6? Apologies if this seems like a dumb question but I'm pretty low on the technological evolutionary scale (possibly Neanderthal ). Cheers! Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
Yup, you can upgrade without any issues. It will download the unraid 6 dependency file for each plugin and delete the unraid 5 file. Quote Link to comment

PhAzE
I started some work on a Calibre plugin, but now I think I realized it can't actually be used on a standalone headless server. Is anyone using this software currently? Is there any web interface for adding and parsing the books or just the web server to download/convert them? Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
I started some work on a Calibre plugin, but now I think I realized it can't actually be used on a standalone headless server. Is anyone using this software currently? Is there any web interface for adding and parsing the books or just the web server to download/convert them? Calibre isn't a good fit for a plugin. I currently run it in a full VM. Calibre's content catalog can be handled either by a full web server using calibre2opds to export the catalog to html, which coincidentally is one of itimpi's projects, or use calibre's built in web server. Theoretically you could set up calibre to be headless to use it's web server, and shut it down to access the database using a full GUI calibre on another machine to add and manage content. That would be kludgy and prone to many problems. Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
Yea so does calibre2opds let you fully manage the db via a web interface? Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Yea so does calibre2opds let you fully manage the db via a web interface? No. It's an export tool to take a snapshot of your calibre library and build a website from it. Quote Link to comment
johnlo
just got back from vacation and decided to upgrade the latest Emby Server version. I'm running on the latest unRaid 5. It will not start. I'm getting will not start error. Help!!! server-63564119228.txt unhandled_277894c5-6280-49da-87c0-5de95b5ae525.txt Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
Have you upgraded to the latest plugin also? What version are you running of the plugin? Also if you recently upgraded the plugin you should reboot first and try starting it again as some of the dependencies have changed recently. Quote Link to comment
johnlo
the plug in version is 1.5.9. I did restarted the server before. Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
The v1 plugins are now obsolete, check on the first post of this forum for the update v2 plugins. Just delete the .plg file from /boot/config/plugins folder and drop the new one on its place, then reboot. Quote Link to comment
johnlo
Doh, didnt realized we are on v2 now. Sorry about that. i guess thats what happen when we are back from vacation. brain stop working. lol Now i am having a new problem. I did what you started. to delete the .plg in the plugins folder and downloaded the new one on the first page and put it in the plugins folder. I reboot. click on setting.. and I dont see the Emby icon under PhAzE Plugins. did i miss a step? Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
Look in the plugins folder again and let me know if there is a gift now called Embyserver and inside it should be a few files, a control file, a dependency file and a config file at least. If those are not on there, go to console and type: installplg /boot/config/plugins/Embyserver.plg It should say plugin installed at the end and yes you will see another error after that but it's normal and can be ignored. Quote Link to comment
johnlo
no, i dont see a folder of that name. i'm guessing I need to hook up a monitor to my server to type that command? Quote Link to comment
PhAzE
Yes unless you have ssh access from your other PC into your server. Just to confirm, you put the Embyserver.plg file in the USB(boot)/config/plugins folder then rebooted? Quote Link to comment
