webGUI not respond after a few hours

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a problem after a few hours (from time to time after a day or two, but after 8 hours a day), I have a problem with usb so I changed the usb and after obtaining a new license. I tried all sorts of solutions to what I found at the wonderful and nothing helps. I enclose the commands and system log, I'd be happy to help and find a solution to the problem repeats itself.

I enclose the details of the system = v6.0-beta7 64bit

killall emhttp

I would appreciate help and guidance, every time I turn on the system in the wrong way and it could ruin my server

Thanks for the reply,

As I wrote, webGUI interface stopped working and I had bo access to the browser, I have tried all sorts of options until I got some instructions to make a killing at the solutions. And i try to restart the webGUI.

root@HomeServer:~# killall emhttp

root@HomeServer:~# nohup / user / local / sbin / emhttp &

But all actions have not yielded results. My problem is that after a few hours once in 24 hours, once after 10 hours, the webGUI interface via the browser does not respond.

Best way to restart emhttp is to reboot the server.

The most common cause of emhttp stopping working is that it has been 'killed' by the operating system because the system had run out of memory and selected emhttp as a process to be killed to get the memory it was using for another process.  This usually occurs when you are running a number of plugins.  This can be minimized by changing emhttp priority level.

You should also post what version of unRAID you are running and a SYSLOG for the true experts to analyse.  For details on how to post a syslog, see here:

Thanks for the reply,

I wrote the first post which operating system I run (6.0-beta7). Plug-ins that I run through Dockers | Couchpotato | HTPC-Manager | Transmission. That means there could be memory runs out and drops the service emhttp to free the memory? Right now I only have 4 GB of memory, is worth adding more memory? Here's a picture of the disks that run on the system.

This is the sub-forum section for the version 5.0X problems.  You should probably be posting this in the Announcement sub-forum section which is found here:

      http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0

and directly in the 6.0-beta7 thread which is here:

I would have thought that using either the "Defect Reports" or the "Support" section within the "unRAID OS version 6 Support"  area of the forum is more appropriate.

  • 6 months later...

May be the answer.

I often lost my web interface for month. On reboot it worked again. I read a lot of post on forums but no solutions works the me.

Until this week, I saw in my logs this kinds of thing :

  Mar 23 21:47:20 Tower in.telnetd[4235]: connect from 78.189.110.245 (78.189.110.245)

Mar 23 21:47:21 Tower telnetd[4235]: ttloop: peer died: EOF

  Mar 23 21:48:01 Tower in.telnetd[4236]: connect from 78.176.227.186 (78.176.227.186)

Mar 23 21:48:03 Tower telnetd[4236]: ttloop: peer died: EOF

.... many times.

I remembered I had opened port 23 for telnet from the outside.

I closed this port and from this time I have no more problems with my web interface

I closed it for a week and web gui still alive.
