March 14, 20251 yr So this is weird. I am very new to Unraid but found the whole setup to be really logical and easy to follow. I have an array with a cache drive associated with it, and I have added a number of files for my Plex server to that drive. I have made a weird observation: the files are not scannable by Plex until they have moved to the array by the mover. I can see them in /mnt/user/Media/TV Shows/(Folder of Show) and I have /mnt/user/Media mapped as 'data' and the library folder mapped to /data/TV Shows. If I interrogate that in the command line, I can also see the folder and files, BUT Plex will not scan and add them to the library until they have moved to the array. Anyone got any ideas why? hal-9000-diagnostics-20250316-0954.zip Edited March 16, 20251 yr by MatrixUK To attach diagnostics

March 19, 20251 yr I recently switched over to the binhex docker for plex instead of the linux one and noticed these messages on the docker log 2025-03-19 03:08:37,538 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: udc input failed with 1011 2025-03-19 03:08:37,538 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stdout output: decoder returned no data No data written! 2025-03-19 04:34:16,048 DEBG 'plexmediaserver' stderr output: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile I didn't see anything in the plex media server logs.
March 19, 20251 yr Apologies if I've missed any existing posts on this, but I'm using the binhex Plex container and I've got it set up to use my old NVIDIA 1050 Ti for hardware transcoding. Ideally I would like to swap that card out for an Intel ARC, likely the A310, and I just wondered if anyone knows how I would go about setting it up. The container I have seems geared towards NVIDIA cards, I'm just not sure what tweaks are needed. Many thanks
March 25, 20251 yr After many years of running Plex without a hassle it finally failed today. I cannot for the life of me get it to start again. It just instantly closes. This is all I am getting in the docker container logs. But now I see another docker container in the apps library "binhex-plexpass" what is the difference between this and "binhex-plex"? Both have the same description. I seriously don't see any difference between these: https://github.com/binhex/arch-plexpass and https://github.com/binhex/arch-plex Nevermind, I got my answer from this: Think it could be a little bit easier to tell the difference in the name/description/README.md that plex-pass is the beta/early access container. April 8, 20251 yr Plex Server Not Working - Server "Disappeared" Short background: Set up like 1 year ago if not more. Never had a problem. Few days ago, I wanted to watch a film, and nothing worked. Here, more or less the sequence of actions: Went to Unraid and checked the Docker App was running and it was. But once opened WebGui, everything was gone: After several restart App, Docker and even the server, with the same outcome I completelely removed the App, App Imaged and used Appdata Cleaner to removed files left. Installed again (not from template), but as new but same outcome. Logging on the website instead of the local docker I get the same page. It is like Plex Server it is not running. Here is a screenshot from the website. No error, no nothing. Server completely disappeared. I started trying some low level stuff like removing Preferences.xml, manually inserting a new Token, insert the Token in the settings of Docker app, nothing. I was not even once able to get the "first setup page" as like I set up the first time, where it asks me Library and stuff... Yes, I have checked Library path on Unraid, it is correct. Just to prove it, I log in console from Unraid GUI and I can browse my Media files from Plex Docker App: I tried to run "Docker Safe New Perms" on Unraid. Nothing changed. I have absolutely no idea. I am going crazy...already also asked for help on Reddit on both Unraid and Plex sub, no luck again. Here it is Reddit post. Please, really, help me fix this. 🙏
April 9, 20251 yr Im running the latest bihnex Plex media server on unraid 7.0.1. My server is running on an intel i5-12600k and a pro z690-a motherboard. Im having an issue where plex will become inaccessible on a daily basis, usually happens in the middle of the night, but can happen whenever. This requires me to restart the docker container. This problem has been present on multiple versions of unraid and on multiple versions of the plex docker including the official plexpass container. I was getting some vague cache drive errors so I replaced the cache drive, which is a 2tb m.2 SSD. Problem still persists, and is probably getting worse. I have tried a completely new plex setup but it is still crashing almost daily. I've reached the end of my ability to trouble shoot and could really use some help. I have attached the logs that I have in appdata. Thanks in advance for any help. Plex Media Server.log
April 29, 20251 yr Just a heads up, server version 1.41.7.9717-1-01 has some issues which are causing 401 unauthorised access errors. This is particularly annoying if you're using a reverse proxy. For whatever reason, the plex address isn't correctly forwarding to /web. You can manually do it as a workaround, but I'd suggest reverting back to 1.41.6.9685-1-01 and holding off on updating until they resolve it. https://forums.plex.tv/t/401-error/914567

June 3, 20251 yr Upgraded to the new container available just now, the WebUI no longer comes up (400 Bad request) and the logs end in:Critical: libusb_init failedSearch is telling me that this is not a problem so it is possibly just a coincidence I'm seeing this error in the logs and something else is stopping the webUI from loading. Any thoughts appreciated, these plex containers have run flawlessly for more than a year only to be borked by this.Edit: I did a backup of the folder in my appdata, then uninstalled the container and reinstalled it from Community Apps. This did fix the 400 Error (I can get into Plex WebUI now) but I still have the libusb_init failed error. The pages on this were probably right and this is unrelated to whatever issue was breaking the WebUI or server app.In any case the fix seems to be a simple Uninstall/Reinstall, although I also went to the trouble of rebooting the containers and then the machine (it did nothing). August 15, 2025Aug 15 Im hoping someone here can help me with this issue i have been having recently (last 4 months). I am running binhex-plex docker on my unraid server and 2 things have been happening causing my server to lock up. i am getting a scrolling message that i can not seem to get to go away (below).[Aug 15 11:46:06 Vodify kernel: br0: received packet on eth0 with own address as source address (addr:9c:6b:00:59:91:fd, vlan:0)]And i am also having another issue with the Plex docker itself when the shows do an Intro/Outro scan it seems to lock up and the only way to get it to go away is to restart the docker. Unsure if these are related or causing the crashes but in all my troubleshooting these keep coming back. I have switched to a different Plex docker , the official and linuxserver version and don't seem to have the Intro/Outro issue, but the message from above does keep coming back. If there is anyone here who might have the slightest idea of what is going on or can help that would be much appreciated, i have hit the end of my TS ability with this and am stuck.
