Thanks for the hint, I only tried this in the "File Manager" with *.yml, *.list and *.py files, "Unsupported Preview" is always displayed there.

Apparently only *.conf files are displayed correctly.

Can i set which file extensions are supported?

Really sad its not usable anymore. File Manager has to many downsides at the moment.

It's still usable and works.   If you've had it previously installed it will show up in Previous Apps.   If you haven't had it installed in Settings enable show deprecated apps

Extensions need to be added to the config file on flash drive: /boot/config/editor.cfg
on my own file manager config I've added yaml, md, json and they all work fine.

edit: whoops thought that was the current conversation, still, hopefully useful for someone trying to get feature parity
