trurl
I suspect you don't have any mountable disks yet. Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete diagnostics zip file to your NEXT post. Quote Link to comment

trurl
Looks like a flash drive problem. Put it in your PC and checkdisk. While there make a backup. Be sure to boot from a USB2 port. Quote Link to comment
Electrohacker
I'm going to the store to buy a few new drives, name brand this time. unfortunately you cant buy 2gb name brand anymore. oh yeah and smaller. I'm using some no name chinese throw away they gave me eplan learning materials on back in the day. I'm guessing if I make a new drive it can find the array without issue Quote Link to comment

As long as you have a current copy of that config folder you can use it on a new install and everything should work as before. Quote Link to comment
trurl
For future reference, you can always download a zipped copy of flash at Main - Boot Device - Flash - Flash Backup Quote Link to comment
Electrohacker
it worked, DOCKER IS NOW WORKING! and I got a really small usb memory since my motherboard doesnt have internal USB Quote Link to comment
Electrohacker
I also found that copying the config file like you said messes up your key, not worth it Quote Link to comment
trurl
Just now, Electrohacker said: I also found that copying the config file like you said messes up your key, not worth it I'm not sure what you mean by that. The config folder is what I said, there isn't a config file. And without that config folder you don't have any of your configuration. Perhaps what you mean is that the old license.key file did not work on your new flash. Of course, that is the whole point, the license is tied to the GUID of a specific flash drive. The small USB3 drives have been known to overheat, USB2 port is more reliable for the Unraid boot flash, and there is no advantage to the faster USB3 speed since it is mostly only accessed at boot to load the OS into RAM. Electrohacker
yes, that is exactly what I meant by that. luckily I have a very good backup and the drives were already empty from the last unraid install. I only lost time to rebuild the parity. Thank you very much, now I can get on to installing plex and enjoying my server Quote Link to comment

Electrohacker
off topic, but I dont want to start a new post for a easy question, I have gigabit netowrking, cat5e or better cables, built in gigabit ethernet on both computers and a gigabit netgear switch between. WHY are my transfer rates only 10-11mbit's/ sec? maybe my server has a bottleneck? Quote Link to comment

That *implies* it's only connecting at 100Mbs on either computer ethtool eth0 Will show the connection speed on unRaid. For a windows box, you can get its connection speed from control panel, network connections, status on the adapter Quote Link to comment
Squid
And the remote computer? Quote Link to comment
