First thing is to make sure your date & time on the server (Settings - Date) isn't out to lunch

Thanks that solved the issue

just upgraded from 6.7.2 to 6.8.2 with no issues observed

Upgraded from 6.7.2 to 6.8.2. Machine hung loading OS after reboot, power cycled and came back to life. As a bonus, I can now run Dockers without loosing all of my network settings! :D

Currently at 34 days, 15 hours, 23 minutes uptime on 6.8.2.

I cannot get nested hyper-v to work in 6.8.2, while everything is woking in 6.7.2.

Anybody using nested Hyper-V VMs with 6.8.2? (Possibly even running a Skylake CPU)

Should I start a Bugreport (incl. diagnostics) or did I just miss anything obvious?

Existing VMs with hyper-v enabled won't boot (stuck at TianoCore)

Removing "hypervisorlaunchtype auto" from bcd makes the VM boot (but disables hyper-v)

Brand new VMs (default Server 2016 template) get stuck after the reboot to enable Hyper-V.

Should be easy to reproduce if it was a general problem. Just install server 2016/2019, enable hyper-v and reboot.

Testet with cpu paththrough (default) and cpu emulation (skylake-client), i440fx (default) and q35.

coreinfo.exe always shows vmx and ept present in windows.

At some point "nested virtualization by default" was removed. See this thread for info on how to add it by modifying your syslinux file:

Is there an ETA on a 5.4 LTS kernel? I need it for the threadripper server I'm building with an ASRock sTRX40 Creator MB. My current 8-core Xeon is doing OK, but I plan on needing a beefier chip in the near future as I'm hosting a VM for a Linux distro build server.
