  1. I am half way done with changing 17x 6tb drives to xfs. Will get there eventually
  2. Thanks for the quick response. I won't worry about those errors then.
  3. Got the following. Have had these plugins installed for awhile. And they show up to date on the Plugin tab. The plugin NerdPack.plg is not known to Community Applications and is possibly incompatible with your server The plugin speedtest.plg is not known to Community Applications and is possibly incompatible with your server
  4. First off, thanks for this plugin. Appreciate it greatly. Q: I have it set to use dated sub-folders for the backups. I see it for the Appdata backup but it looks like flash & VM xml are just overwritten. Would you be receptive to modifying so that those also go into dated sub-folders? Reason I ask, I have the backups scheduled but do not always check the status. Let's say I make a change (VM or flash) and later after a couple backups have occurred, I realize something happened but because only have the current backups, makes it difficult to determine what was changed or recover to a later date when known working.
  5. +100 i know I should do parity checks more often than I do (manually) and just have them scheduled but hate taking the WAF hit when it causes impact. In the meantime, is there a method to throttle it manually with some setting? especilly with drives getting bigger and bigger, therefore checks taking longer and greater chance of impact
  6. Thank you so much. Greatly appreciate your looking into this and being receptive to changes.
  7. Not sure what the PlugIn does behind the scenes but is it possible to allow one or the other of these as options? Depending upon which one you are not using for your Aging logic? recycle:touch = BOOL Specifies whether a file's access date should be updated when the file is moved to the repository. recycle:touch_mtime = BOOL Specifies whether a file's last modified date should be updated when the file is moved to the repository. https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/manpages/vfs_recycle.8.html
  8. I had to find a file to undelete. I notice that the dates (accessed/modified/created) are all for the date/time the file was deleted. Is there an option to retain the original date modified or created? #vfs_recycle_start #Recycle bin configuration [global] syslog only = No log level = 0 vfs:0 #vfs_recycle_end
  9. Great. Working properly also. CA still showed it as Up to Date but removed and reinstalled and now showing version 2017.04.23d and working properly. Greatly appreciated
  10. Active Streams (version 2016.09.13 which shows up to date) - On 6.3.3 it gets Tower root: error: update.php: missing csrf_token error when trying to put a name to an IP address and does not save the name which hittig Apply
  11. I have noticed on my system that cache_dirs seems to die about every 4-6 hours. How do I know this? I have a script that checks if cache_dirs is running, and if not, starts it again. #!/bin/bash while [ true ]; do RUNNING=`ps -ef | grep cache_dirs | grep -v grep | grep -v check_cache_dirs.sh | wc 12. Tom - Will there eventually be a "Check for Update" (or something like that) button for the WebGUI?
  13. It's quite easy to do yourself. -Stop unraid (power down) -with another (not running at this moment) windows VM on the machine: -- edit the windows machine settings and add a hard disk -- select existing vmk, and select the unraid vmk -boot this windows VM, you'll see it has an extra drive/HD -copy all files from the unraid vmk to a backup place -copy bzimage, bzroot, make_bootable.bat, memtest, menu.c32, syslinux.cfg & syslinux.exe to this unraid vmk (16c files off course). -stop (shutdown) the windows VM -edit the settings of the windows VM to remove the unraid vmk - pull the unraid flash drive and put the 16c Zeron VMtools .tgz file on the flash drive (/extra dir), remove any other VMtools package from the flash drive (.plg and/or .tgz file) - copy bzimage, bzroot, make_bootable.bat, memtest, menu.c32, syslinux.cfg & syslinux.exe to the flash drive (16c files off course), backup old files on flash drive first. start the unraid VM (in viclient so you see what is happening) if unraid does not start (does not display the unraid boot menu), then you need to run make_bootable.bat -do the above again until the vmk is visible in the windows VM -run make_bootable.bat (as admin) -if it complains (no removeable drive, use -f option), change "%~d0\syslinux -ma %~d0" into "%~d0\syslinux -fma %~d0" and run make_bootable.bat again (as admin) -shut down the windows VM and remove the unraid vmk -now unraid should boot... Warning : This is all from memory, did it a week ago I did similar recently but I did have to remove the vmk hard disk from the unRaid VM before bringing up the Windows VM and then later readd the vmk hard disk back to unRaid VM.
  14. running the following script in background so that I can get a better feel of what is happening and how frequent. #!/bin/bash while [ true ]; do RUNNING=`ps -ef | grep cache_dirs | grep -v grep | grep -v check_cache_dirs.sh | wc -l` if [ ${RUNNING} -eq 0 ] ; then free -l >> /var/log/syslog /boot/scripts/cache_dirs -p 200 -i Specials -i UnArchived -i FanArt fi sleep 600 done at least this way, when cache_dirs dies, I start up another one (within 10 mins) and put to syslog the output from free -l
  15. A little more info. 19. No, as i recall you needed to change 3-4 files. otherwise you end up with a mismatched flash. what I did was used the "LSI MegaRAID to SAS2008(P11)" file on page one, then i downloaded the "upgrade-M1015-P12" file found later in the thread and i replaced the files in "upgrade-M1015-P12" with the P14 files. and it went just fine. there is some talk that the P14 files might be needed for unraid for the LSI bug fixes. I do not think this is confirmed yet. I see no reason not to go to P14 now. I believe i had to replace the dos version of sas2flash.exe and everything in the "sasbios_rel" folder also.. otherwise you get an error later that the SAS card version is incorrect or not found. I had that error back when i flashed to P13. I was able to recover Been looking thru the posts but haven't found the link for the P14 files. Any help?
  20. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get into the config for the card? Would it have anything to do with not having a drive connected? I did the same thing before I flashed the card. I was hoping that might fix the problem. Could this be a sign of a defective card? I had this issue when I had more than 1 controller card. After I pulled the other controller card, it would go into the card bios I didn't have any drives connected to it either
  21. Tons of mvsas messages syslog attached. ESXi 5.0 + unRaid 5b12a + drives on MV8 Need to be concerned or not? The 2 pre-clears still seem to be running syslog-20111228.zip
  22. Getting tired of fighting Norton Internet Security (NIS) sporadic Symantec Framework errors. Looking for a replacement software that handles AntiVirus / AntiSpam (works with Outlook 2010). This would be for a Windows XP machine. Any suggestions. What would you say would be the pros/cons over NIS in your suggestion? Have worked with Norton Support but less than pleased. Seems all they want to do is uninstall Norton, reinstall it, and it works for a bit but then the errors come back again. Edit/Delete Message
  23. what page? Under all the pictures
  24. I've been corrected in another post, i was wrongly looking at the raw values instead of current values column. What you should do is runn diff between the starting/ending smart reports and see if current value has changed between them for those rows. also compare current versus threshold.
