  1. I use the Daapd docker almost daily to play music in my house. But I only interface to it with the "Remote" app on my iPhone.
  2. Buy a network based HdHomeRun, and you don't have to worry about pass thru, and drivers, and configuration, etc... Not worth trying to save a few bucks to use a USB tuner with unRAID if you are buying something new anyways.
  3. Because the average person is lazy! No work ethic with today's youth.
  4. I don't use the plugin, but I use the OpenVPN docker. And if I am outside my network and connect via VPN to the server, I have no issues accessing the DelugeVPN webgui.
  5. Are you logged into Tvheadend with a user that has permission to record?
  6. Several years ago when I first built my unRaid server, I had several WD Green drives that needed the idle timer adjusted. I was able to just use a precompiled file. I certainly didn't have to compile it myself. Not in front of my server right now so I can't see if the file is still on my flash drive, but I did find this with a quick search of the forums: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40062.msg453869#msg453869
  7. I believe I just used the default docker template. It is running in Host mode /music is mapped to my music folder on my server /config is mapped to a daapd subfolder in my appdata folder Maybe post a screen shot of the daapd docker config page along with the output of the docker run command when it installs.
  8. I use this docker every day to stream music to various speakers around my house. I control it with the iPhone Remote app. No issues for me.
  9. AFAIK we haven't given it any thought as the DVR stuff is very US/Homerun centric, and comskip and ffmpeg would need to be incorporated into the container themselves. It would be nice if there was a docker that just contained comskip and ffmpeg (and any other dependencies). Then you could just set it up to watch a folder for new recordings and put the processed video files into an output folder. Sickbeard or Sonar could then be configured watch the processed video folder.
  10. The Plex DVR functionality is still in Beta. I fully expect Live TV support at some point (which I likely won't use much anyways). And there are a couple 3rd party plugins you can install in Plex to enable Live TV through a Channel. I already owned an HD Homerun device that I was using with the TVHeadend Docker. I will say that setting up the Plex DVR to record took about 2 minutes total time. Setting up TVHeadend took forever and not nearly as user friendly.
  11. From the Plex DVR FAQ page: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/226463767-Frequently-Asked-Questions-DVR What about live TV or time-shifting? It is not currently possible to watch TV live or time-shift it before the recording has ended. Recordings must complete before they can be viewed. Live TV/time-shifting is an area in which we're interested. How do I configure and use Plex DVR? While recorded DVR programs can be viewed from any Plex app, scheduling recordings and DVR configuration can only be performed from within the Plex Web app. You can always access Plex Web at https://plex.tv/web and manage recordings, even when you're away from home.
  12. thanks, good information. and thanks for not posting the version here. And thanks to you (and LS.io) for planning ahead and creating a Plex Docker Container that can run Beta versions of software!
  13. Actually, to update to the Beta DVR version only requires setting the "Version" environmental variable to the Beta version number. Installed with no issues. I won't list the version number in this forum, but anyone with a PlexPass can access the Plex DVR Beta forum and find it there.
  14. No way for a PlexPass user to manually download the file from the beta post and put somewhere in the docker container so it will be used during docker container startup?
  15. Yeah, you don't need to do any "apt-gets". I set this up with no issues following the instructions from this post, expect I changed from PAM to local and created new user from the web GUI: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=43317.msg451171#msg451171
  16. I set this up last week with no issues following the instructions from this post, expect I changed from PAM to local and created new user from the web GUI: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=43317.msg451171#msg451171 The connectivity test within the app doesn't work, it always fails for me too.
  17. See here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40937.msg463355#msg463355
  18. I also bought my own domain name so I could keep the same email address and not be tethered to an ISP or other company. I used Outlook to host the email server until they stopped providing that service for free. I recently switched to using Zoho for free email hosting. http://www.blogsynthesis.com/zoho-free-email-hosting/
  19. Click the Wrench icon in the bottom left to open a settings menu.
  20. Yes playlists are supported and your original iTunes playlists should work. I also use mostly SmartPlaylists which are very easy to create. You could easily create a SmartPlaylist for recently added music with your own definition of "recently added". See this link. https://github.com/ejurgensen/forked-daapd/blob/master/README_SMARTPL.md
  21. I recently converted from Needos to the Linuxserver Plex docker. My only issue was waiting long enough after starting the Linuxserver Plex docker for the first time, it took about 5 minutes or so before I could access Plex. I think the docker may have been scanning (or changing file permissions or something) on my huge Plex metadata database. But all my setup and watched status all transferred flawlessly.
  22. cadvisor was useless in resolving this issue for me. The sizes reported in cadvisor never changed while the docker image continued to fill up.
  23. I had issues with my docker image growing larger periodically. I narrowed it down to CouchPotato and I believe it was because it was auto updating inside the container. I switched to the LinuxServer version and disabled auto updates in the CouchPotato settings. Problem completely solved for me. The way I narrowed it down to a specific app was to remove each app one at at time (container and image) and then reinstalled from my template. Each time looking at the docker image size reported on the unRAID Dashboard. For all my other apps the size before and after didn't change much. For CouchPotato the image size was significantly smaller afterward the reinstall.
  24. Is there any way to stream Pandora music through daapd? I found this: https://github.com/b-fitzpatrick/openpipe Which connects with this: https://github.com/PromyLOPh/pianobar http://6xq.net/pianobar/ Is it possible to add this to the daapd docker? Or create a new docker that has the openpipe/pianobar functionality?
  25. I edited my icons following those directions. I had to put the icon files in a Dropbox share folder and use the URL for that as the link. I couldn't get it to work from a local share location. I never had to reboot the server. Just make sure to Stop Plex while you make the database changes or you will corrupt the database. Start Plex again after you make the changes and the new icons should show up. Note that the icons on the iPhone app don't change but everywhere else they do.
