@danioj Hi, i was looking for a way to run Unraid in a VM on Unraid itself (that use KVM). I want to have a "test server" with multiple vdisk for simulating multiple hard disks. Is this a possibility ?

I think it's normal as the more it is reading, the more the reading is on the edge of the platter (far from the center of the platter).

@shinfo44 Usually restarting the docker will upgrade it, at least on the official PLEX inc, docker. I don't know for this one.

Hi @Carlos Rodriguez. Let me know what kind of setup you are running for your test server. I was looking at using a SBC X86 like a Intel NUC, but I would like to add a HBA to be able to put 5-6 HDD/SSD to it. I Think I saw @jonp in a geek podcast showing off a board that you guys at Lime-tech uses for your dev board ? What is that board? is it custom or can be bought for building ourself a Unraid test server ? He refer to this board as a Dev Board with a Celeron 4 Cores, dual Nic, 2 SATA, external power that he gets for the CTO. I don't think there was PCIe slot or even m.2 slot (except for NVMe)...

The PCIe Gen4 SSD are quite faster, but in real-life performance, I went from a regular SSD (SATA3) to a NVMe Gen4 on X570 and haven't seen a lot more performance out of my PLEX librairies. The images for the medias might be loading faster, but it's not very obvious.

Why a B550 board if you not have any PCIe Gen4 NVMe drive? You can go with X470 board and have a better chipset with a board with more feature, or go with a B450 for a lower cost.

You can set any of your User Share if you want it to use the Cache Drive/Cache pool or not. If your share use it, you'll see the behavior you want. The downside is that it will fill up your cache disk until the next time mover is run (daily at night usually).

Hopefully, you'll get a good one from what you bought (finger crossed). did you really need a Video card for output? or it's a GPU for transcoding in differents Dockers/VM ? because you can run the server headless (with no screen attached and no GPU) if you want. Just asking in case you tought you absolutely need the GPU and monitor.

You should replace all Asmedia & Marvell with LSI 9208-IT or SAS2008 controller. Those are known to work fine vs the one you use are known to give problems. This is a reputable Ebay seller that lots of person use for the HBA cards : https://www.ebay.ca/str/theartofserver/HBA-IT-mode-controllers/_i.html?_storecat=23844485012 He have a bunch of cards, most of them works just fine with Unraid. You will also need a cable that goes from SFF-8087 to 4xSATA (so 2 cables of this kind will give you 8x SATA connectors).

+1 for WireGuard. If you only forward your WebUI over the web, you are open to risks that some hacker or tool that port scan find you and use a vulnarability to hack into your server. At least with WireGuard, you are safer.

did you try mounting your transcoding to /dev/shm ? It is supposed to use a maximum of 50% of the RAM instead of all of the RAM. I never tried it myself, but a friend is doing it on his Unraid without issue.

@BlueMpoopSir No, The Key is locked to the GUID of the USB stick. You can move it to new hardware just fine. I did it 3 or 4 times since I purchased Unraid in 2014.

Good news and bad news The Good News is that there is no more an error when going on the PLEX_STREAMS tab. It display "There are currently no active streams". On the Dashboard, it says "0 active stream(s)". The bad news is that it doesn't see the active streams because they were 1 running. I also compared with Tautulli and it sees the stream just fine in there, so there is still something not working in the plugin.

Settings page of what? your plugin? or Plex server settings? it doesn't output a plex.tv URL, only the one I display here ? Maybe i'm not understanding where to look

I can see the XML is actually the list of currently playing media with a bunch of details. When I stop the stream, the XML says MediaContainer Size = 0.

@dorgan That doesn't fix it. Try selecting the External IP, Then Apply., Then tried selecting Internal IP, then Apply. That doesn't change anything, same error and Warning about file.

Hi, I upgraded to 2020.06.09, still errors. Now dashboard is at 503 stream(s), also, if I click at the top the PLEX_STREAMS, I got this : Streams Warning: file_get_contents(/status/sessions?X-Plex-Token=REDACTEDTOKEN&_m=1591727486): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/plexstreams/includes/common.php on line 103 Change Server: SharedPlex.tv (http://192.168.2.211:32400) There are currently no active streams I also tried removing the Plugin, deleting files on the USB stick related to the plugin, and reinstall the last version.
