Tower cases with 5.25" drive bays top to bottom...
I have an Antec 1200 case with older horizontal 4 in 1 cages, I have an ATX board with a 16 port RAID controller, the cables that connect to the RAID controller plug in at the end of the card and my 4 in 1 bays hit them if I try and push them in all the way, so I have to leave them out a little which is ok as the server is a second back up server that is powered off most of the time. If you aren't using any HBA's that have cables that plug in at the end of the card, you should be fine.

I just updated to the latest version of Medusa and it seems broken. I have tried rolling back to version 27 but that seems broken too. I just get endless lines of this in the log: self.airdate_offset = int(sql_results[0]['airdate_offset']) KeyError: u'airdate_offset' 2019-03-14 21:10:27 ERROR MAIN :: [918cfe7] There was an error creating the show in /tv/Shrill: Exception generated: u'airdate_offset' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/app/medusa/medusa/__main__.py", line 2122, in load_shows_from_db cur_show = Series(sql_show['indexer'], sql_show['indexer_id']) File "/app/medusa/medusa/tv/series.py", line 245, in __init__ self._load_from_db() File "/app/medusa/medusa/tv/series.py", line 1493, in _load_from_db self.airdate_offset = int(sql_results[0]['airdate_offset']) KeyError: u'airdate_offset' 2019-03-14 21:10:27 ERROR MAIN :: [918cfe7] There was an error creating the show in /tv/Sex Education: Exception generated: u'airdate_offset' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/app/medusa/medusa/__main__.py", line 2122, in load_shows_from_db cur_show = Series(sql_show['indexer'], sql_show['indexer_id']) File "/app/medusa/medusa/tv/series.py", line 245, in __init__ self._load_from_db() File "/app/medusa/medusa/tv/series.py", line 1493, in _load_from_db self.airdate_offset = int(sql_results[0]['airdate_offset']) KeyError: u'airdate_offset' 2019-03-14 21:10:27 ERROR MAIN :: [918cfe7] There was an error creating the show in /tv/The Kids Are Alright: Exception generated: u'airdate_offset'

While offsite backups are recommended and great, some of us have too much data to afford backing it up offsite using traditional means. I have three copies of my data onsite, and one offsite, so having a backup onsite is not a bad idea either, you can use a spare computer that may be lying around and some drives, that is about all it takes.

So it looks like Emby 4.0.2 was released today? I am always cautious of upgrading anything to the latest version. First, I ask myself, is anything broken with the version I am using? Second, if so, does the new version fix it. If the answer to #1 is no, then I look to see if there is a compelling reason to upgrade and if not, I wait to see if there are bugs. You sometimes pay the price for being the guinea pig who adopts the latest version and you can wind up doing this at your own peril. I never update my dockers right away, and in the past have done so to have the upgrade go sideways. My advice would be to wait next time and see if others have issues first.

I am sure users here appreciate you making them aware of the bug so they don't suffer a similar loss of data. We, as a community are simply trying to help by pointing out that backups are something that can save you from situations like this. unRAID has plenty of amazing features that you can choose to implement, I use the recycle bin on all my servers in case I accidentally delete something, it may have helped you but it may not have. If you want some advice on creating a backup strategy I would be more than willing to help you, I am an IT professional in my day job.

I am sorry to hear about this but it is not an unRAID issue. You should have backups of your data for situations like this, you cannot blame unRAID. Sure it would be nice if unRAID had snapshot capability but you are aware it does not, so you can't rely on it. I have close to 10,000 movies in my collection and I have them on two different servers and backed up to a third that I keep offline. I realize not everyone can afford to to do this, but if your data is important to you, then you have to think about a backup strategy. Perhaps it is also time to look at Plex unless you don't like it, I have been using it for years without issues.

Fair enough, what is my best way to communicate this to them? Do I make post on Github?

From time to time I go through my shows in Medusa to make sure an episode has not been missed, and from time to time I find that a few have. Today is the first time in quite awhile that I have found over half a dozen episodes that have been missed for different shows, some episodes going back months. I am trying to understand why this is happening. When I click manual search for the missing episode, it finds plenty in the chosen resolution, in my case 720p, so I am not sure why they aren't being downloaded. I am very careful about scene names, take for example a show called Power, it is called Power.2014 so I have the edited into the show under scene exceptions, and I do this for most of my shows if they have more than one word in their name. However this does not seem to have helped as an episode of Power got missed. Often I will find that in Medusa it says that an episode was 'snatched' but when I check I don't have it. I supposed it's possible there was an error downloading it but I wonder why if that was the case another attempt was not made, perhaps there is a setting I am missing? I have attached a few screen shots to illustrate what I am talking about. Even an episode of Vikings was missing, don't know why. I am running the latest version of Medusa on unRAID 6.6.1

Hmm everything looks good, not sure then what the problem might be.

Couple of questions: Are you up to date on Medusa? Are you allowing the Russian language and subtitles? From the error it looks like the TVDB is having trouble finding or adding the show, have you tried a different option when adding the show?

Ok this is driving me round the bend, need help. I added a new show to Medusa called Making It. Medusa added the folder under my /TV share. I grabbed the episodes manually and now Medusa is complaining that the show is not in my list. I've removed some details in case they may violate board rules and replaced them with xxx's. But the show is definitely in my list, I've added Making. It as a scene exception, I've removed and re added the show, I've renamed the show folders Making It by removing the . between Making. It and still Medusa claims the show is not in my list. I get this a lot but usually added the scene exception resolves it. Any ideas? 2018-08-20 15:31:09 WARNING POSTPROCESSOR :: [f5973b2] Processing failed for /downloads/completed/TV/Making It.xxxxx: This show isn't in your list, you need to add it before post-processing an episode2018-08-20 15:31:09 WARNING POSTPROCESSOR :: [f5973b2] Problem(s) during processing, failed for the following files/folders:2018-08-20 15:31:09 WARNING POSTPROCESSOR :: [f5973b2] /downloads/completed/TV/Making It.xxxxxxx: Processing failed: This show isn't in your list, you need to add it before post-processing an episode2018-08-20 15:31:09 WARNING POSTPROCESSOR :: [f5973b2] /downloads/completed/TV/Making Itxxxxxxx Processing failed: This show isn't in your list, you need to add it before post-processing an episode2018-08-20 15:31:09 WARNING POSTPROCESSOR :: [f5973b2] /downloads/completed/TV/Making Itxxxxxx: Processing failed: This show isn't in your list, you need to add it before post-processing an episode What's weirder is if I do a manual search, it can't find anything, yet if I search myself, I can find the episodes. Odd

This isn't the first time this has happened, do you know what causes call traces?

I am trying to dismount the array right now but it's taking longer than usual. I posted about a call trace with my logs in the general support forum, I think it's related to this issue since it happened yesterday.

I've been having major issues with Medusa lately, All of a sudden it's reporting that a directory for one of my shows is missing, I can't stop the docker and when I try to restart it the log is just stuck on reporting that my show directory is missing. Any help would be appreciated.

The Power Supply Thread
I've had nothing but good luck with Seasonic, I am surprised to hear you've had issues with their products. They make power supplies for many other companies who rebrand them with their own names. Corsair makes a decent product, but I have always sworn by Seasonic.

Observations after 1 week, keep or leave it??
As someone who owns a few Synology's and QNap's as well as has four active unRAID servers, I'll give you my perspective. It really comes down to what you want in terms of your solution, everything offers something, the question is, is it what you want? If your goal is to run Plex so users outside your network can stream your content, then you better look into Plex requirements and figure out if your little QNap or Synology has enough CPU horsepower for more than one or two 720p streams. Also Plex has some complexities and while it's very straightforward to install on Windows, is Windows the right home for it? Maybe for you it is, but installing Plex on a docker in unRAID is very easy and simple. Another consideration is expansion, will your current data grow? How much? How fast? What do you do when you run out of 26 drive letters in Windows? You might get a RAID controller and dabble in that, but unRAID makes it a heck of a lot simpler. Getting back to your QNap or your Synology, how many bays does it have? What happens when you fill up the drives and have no more physical bays left? Sure, you can upsize your drives, but the rebuild can take a day or more, trust me I know, I've been there. If getting to your data from outside your network is a deal breaker, then stick your stuff in the cloud. As people have mentioned, it's a security risk to poke holes in your router to allow outside access. At the end of the day, if you really feel unRAID is not for you, hey that's fine, it's not for everyone. But do yourself a favour and really think about all the things you can do with unRAID and how you can grow with it beyond a four or six or even 12 bay QNap or Synology, I think you'll find unRAID scales better.

Do you have any shows entered in Medusa at the moment? If so go into a show, then click EDIT, then you will see under preferred quality.

These aren't x265 but x264, I don't know what the files are but they are getting grabbed and I'd prefer to be able to say something like 'no less than 500MB' somewhere.

Question, I am not sure if this is a Medusa setting or SABnzb setting, I have checked both and cannot find it. I am using both of these programs to download tv episodes from Usenet, they work great together, no issues. Sometimes however, an episode will get downloaded that is clearly wrong, because of it's size, it's less than 100MB. Where do I set minimum sizes for episodes?
