  1. I can do that: Not sure why this is showing two paths now, the one I want to use is: /mnt/user/downloads/completed/movies You can see in the screen shot when I try to add the path, it won't accept it.
  2. I am trying to use the container path inside the application but it keeps saying the path does not exist and wont accept it.
  3. You mean inside the docker settings itself, or inside the application?
  4. Ever since I recently changed my cache drive and didn't follow the guide properly, Radarr has been complaining that the path to my root folder is inaccessible or does not exist. I have dropped into the shell and manually navigated to the folder so I know the path is correct, however I am unable to change it in movie editor, select all, change root folder, Radarr just says 'path does not exist' when I put in the path. The path I am trying to enter is: /mnt/user/downloads/completed/movies I have addded the screen shot to the docker settings, but I can't change it inside radarr, why?
  5. I believe it was when I was moving everything off my cache drive, it seems for some reason, that triggered an old docker I had for a security cam and it kept trying to establish an FTP connection to my server, thus, filling up the logs.
  6. I recently developed a log problem on one my unRAID servers, as you can see from the attached image. I figure rebooting the server might fix it, but is there a command I can run to stop the log daemon and restart it, effectively fixing this?
  7. Thanks Squid, its all working now, I'll know better for next time.
  8. I have been following the 'Replace a cache drive' article. I am not sure where I went wrong. I reinstalled all my docker apps, I thought I had the settings documented in screen shots but I could not find them. I managed to get everything working, the only issue is Plex, says none my media is available. The paths to the media remain unchanged and are correct, but it claims the media is not there. I had to remove and re add my tv show library which is it currently rescanning and will have to do the same for my movie library, this is big pain in the @$$. Other than Plex, my other dockers are working jut fine.
  9. So everything is finished copying to my new cache drive and as I feared, I have no dockers any more. Should I copy the docker image from my old cache drive to my new one? Or just reinstall my dockers and everything will show up?
  10. I am currently in the process of replacing my cache drive. I am following the document that explains the process however it does not mention anything about ones docker image. I did not copy my docker image off my old cache drive, should I have? Will my dockers not work now when everything is copied back?
  11. Here is a pic of the server in the rack I have, its an older photo but still looks the same, there are 12 more bays on the rear of the server.
  12. Yeah my drives never exceed 36 degrees C and often run lower, I'd power the system down if they were running at your temps to figure out a way to get them lower. I'll see if I can dig up a pic its in a baby rack under my desk so you can only see the front 24 hot swap bays. I upgraded the board, cpu and ram over a year ago to dual 8/16 CPU's, its my backup server and runs a bunch of dockers. I've been an unRAID advocate since 2016, I currently run four unRAID servers.
  13. Ah ok, for a business that makes more sense. I got a wicked deal on a Super Micro 36 Bay chassis a few years ago out of Montreal ( I live in Ontario, Canada) delivered to my door for $800 CAN and it has been serving me well.
  14. Wow, nice, too rich for my blood though.
  15. Nice build! Can you tell us roughly how much the storinator cost?
  16. Cores never hurt, however neither does some long term planning. If you want to build and use VM's you will need cores, at least two per if not more depending on what you plan to do with them. So if you want, say three VM's, you'll need at least six cores off the bat. You'll always need some for unRAID itself, I would suggest a minimum of two, four would be better. So now we are at 8-10 cores. If you want to run plex, you'll need some more, at least four, maybe more. Better to start with more than you need rather than not enough, although upgrading can fix that. I would say cores are more important, but you don't want to get stuck with a slow CPU either, most in the E5 family are pretty good so I think you are ok.

  18. Sorry, what I meant was, UEFI or BIOS? Also, have you tried more than one flash drive?
  19. What version of unRAID did you try? Which boot method?
  20. My link was for Canadians, your links is to Bestbuy.com for US residents.
  21. Sorry I didn't follow your link, so I had no idea.
  22. You could grab a Dell H310 on eBay and flash it to IT mode, just make sure it has a low profile bracket which you will probably need for your rackmount server.
  23. If you are talking about software firewalls, you will need a minimum of two nics, one for the internet and one for your local network, you could use one network card and an integrated network card if there is one built into the motherboard. Personally I prefer hardware based firewalls, I use the Ubiquity Edge router X and I love it.
