  1. So I bought and installed a Corsair RM850X power supply. I removed all the existing power cables and used only the new ones that came with it to connect the motherboard and peripherals and drives. Unfortunately, unRAID won't boot with this new power supply, so far anyway. I connected the power plug to my UPS, flipped the power switch on the PSU to the On position, and the lights on my motherboard come on. Then I press the power button my PC. My CPU cooler fans spin for a moment but then stop and the PC doesn't boot. I tried it a few times, unplugging things and re-plugging, no luck. I then removed everything and did the paper clip test, the PSU comes on, its fan spins, no problem. So I don't think it's faulty? It has a 2021 date on the box. For now, I've removed it and put the AX860i PSU back in and now unRAID is up and running. Still have a Red X on Disk 3, but I'd like to sort out this power issue before running another parity sync. Thanks for any help.
  2. Thanks, I agree. Might just have to try a new power supply.
  3. Yikes. Well that's good to know, I'd never even heard of that. 4 hours left on my current rebuild, but Drive 3 has a Red X again now, and Disk 4 has some errors. Thanks for any further ideas. tower-diagnostics-20220501-0428.zip
  4. Thank you, I've now double-checked all my power connectors. I have a Corsair AX860i power supply from Jan 2014. I don't have any splitters. This power supply has a self-test switch, so I unplugged everything and tested it, green light says it's good. FWIW, I'm using 3 x 6pin cables into the "PERIPHERAL & SATA" ports, and 3 x 8pin cables into the "6+2 PCI-E & 4+4 CPU" ports. I've always used the bottom row, ports 4 5 6 on each kind, leaving room on top for more cables later. As an experiment, I moved them into the top ports, 1 2 3 on each. But the power supply showed a red light when I pressed the power button on my case and the computer didn't boot. I've now moved them back into the bottom row, and unRAID is booted and I'm running a parity sync to rebuild Drive 5 which is now good again. Also, it seems I was using some generic SATA power cables. I've now swapped in the original power cables that came with this PSU. They have text on them that says "TXM/HX/AXi Only". Maybe that will help if there is some difference in the cables.
  5. Bah. Thought it was solved, but now Drive 5 has a Red X. Here are my diagnostics, thanks for any help. Drives 3 & 5 were also the ones that had Red X's back in March, for what it's worth. tower-diagnostics-20220430-1244.zip
  6. OK we're good. The rebuild finished with no errors. Then I bought new cables for all the array drives, two of these. Thanks again for the help!
  7. Thanks so much MrGrey and JorgeB. Yes, I have a backup of my important data on another system. I also clearly have the memory of a goldfish, because Jorge you helped me with a similar (same?) issue with the same drive in March here: So I have now swapped a new SATA cable for that drive, and followed the wiki instructions "Rebuilding a drive onto itself", so the rebuild is now running. Should be fine now, thanks again! I'll mark this as solved once the parity-sync/rebuild is completed.
  8. Hi there. Got an alert from my unraid server today, one of the drive has a red X. I've attached the diagnostics. Found this in the SMART report for the failed drive: SATA Phy Event Counters (GP Log 0x11) ID Size Value Description 0x000a 2 1 Device-to-host register FISes sent due to a COMRESET 0x0001 2 0 Command failed due to ICRC error 0x0003 2 0 R_ERR response for device-to-host data FIS 0x0004 2 0 R_ERR response for host-to-device data FIS 0x0006 2 0 R_ERR response for device-to-host non-data FIS 0x0007 2 0 R_ERR response for host-to-device non-data FIS Most of my unRAID problems have been bad cables or connections, so I guess it could be another one? At what point is it a bad controller? Thanks for any help. tower-diagnostics-20220427-2132.zip
  9. Thanks for that Jorge. I was able to shutdown unRAID, re-check the cables and swap the one to Disk 3 with a new cable. I booted back up and followed the wiki here to rebuild a failed drive to itself. A few minutes in, Disk 5 got a Red X as well. I let the rebuild finish so Disk 3 would be fixed, and then swapped a new cable in for Drive 5 and rebuilt to that drive as well. A couple long days, but I'm back to good now. Cheers.
  10. Hi there. I started a parity check today, and a couple minutes in Disk 3 of my array drives suffered the Red X. I cancelled the parity check. Diagnostics attached. I could use help reading the SMART reports for the drive, and if there's anything else that looks like trouble. Thanks for any advice. tower-diagnostics-20220307-0443.zip
  11. Thanks for this, fixed it for me too. Will keep an eye on it.
  12. Hi, were you able to find the solution? I couldn't find "--cap-add=NET_ADMIN" either, and I have nothing in "Extra Parameters". All I did was make sure the box for "Privileged" was checked, and then followed the rest of A21 instructions. It's working now. Hope that helps.
  13. I had the same problem here, but this solved it, thanks!
  14. Hi all. I had this problem too after upgrading to 6.9 this week. My Win10 VM and even unRAID itself were running dog slow. System Interrupts was using 100% CPU in Windows. For me what worked was changing a setting in the "Tips and Tweaks" plugin. I had "CPU Scaling Governor:" set to "Power Save", which I think is the default for Intel CPU. Changed it to "On Demand", and now my VM and unRAID are running much better. Disclaimer: I don't understand much of that, but it seems to work. Maybe there's downsides. YMMV. Seeing a lot of posts with this issue, hopefully this helps you.
  15. Perfect, this worked for me!
  16. Thanks for the help, that worked...However it only worked for the first torrent file I put in the watch folder. Deluge downloaded the torrent, then I added a second torrent file to the watch folder and it just sits there. Seems to be a common problem in this thread. I deleted the container and recreated it, but same thing, the watch folder processes first torrent then no others. Weird.
  17. Thanks for the reply. I've now tried Deluge in Chrome, Safari & Firefox and disabled any content blocking. Same issue persists. I'm open to setting up a Watch folder, is that easy to do? (I'll google it). 95% of the time I only use binhex's Sonarr and Radarr Dockers to send torrents to Deluge. But once in a while I find something else I want to download so it would just be good to be able to add torrents manually. Thanks.
  18. Hi there. Sorry if this has been answered a million times, I can't find anything helpful.I am unable to manually add a torrent file to Deluge. I browse to the torrent file, but I can't click Add, nothing happens. The Deluge windows also doesn't list what files would be downloaded. I'm having the same problem as this person: https://github.com/binhex/arch-delugevpn/issues/152 I know nothing about iframes or whatever he's talking about. I've tried Chrome, Safari, Firefox. Thanks for any ideas. Downloads from radarr and sonarr work perfectly.
  19. SOLVED. I was able to copy back what I needed and start over. Actually cleared out a lot of junk, so that's lesson learned I guess. Thanks.
  20. Hi there. So I somehow wiped my cache pool while upgrading from 2 x 500GB SSDs to 2 x 1TB SSDs (I did them one at a time, but here we are anyway). But when I try to restore from a backup, it had a bunch of errors and seemed to finish way too quickly. Here is the last of the message output: "Backup / SettingsRestore AppdataBackup / Restore Status Backup / Restore Status: Not Running /usr/bin/tar: binhex-preclear/home/.icons/BLACK-Ice-Numix-FLAT: Directory renamed before its status could be extracted /usr/bin/tar: binhex-preclear/home/.icons: Directory renamed before its status could be extracted /usr/bin/tar: binhex-preclear/home: Directory renamed before its status could be extracted /usr/bin/tar: binhex-preclear: Directory renamed before its status could be extracted /usr/bin/tar: airsonic-advanced/transcode: Directory renamed before its status could be extracted /usr/bin/tar: airsonic-advanced: Directory renamed before its status could be extracted /usr/bin/tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors Backup/Restore Complete. tar Return Value: Restore finished. Ideally you should now restart your server Backup / Restore Completed" I've attached diagnostics if that helps. My most recent backup is from Jan 4th, that's the one I'm trying to restore, but I have backups from the 12 previous weeks. I was able to copy the CA_backup.tar file to my Mac and unzip it, so I can copy everything back manually I hope? Just thought I'd ask first. Thanks for any help! tower-diagnostics-20210109-1541.zip
  21. Thanks for this. I checked the button for my Logitech wireless mouse, updated the template, then was able to delete it without error.
  22. Same problem as Del, I get a 404 error when I run the Docker. I’ve worked around it as per Moppen’s post, thanks for that.
  23. Thanks, I was able to get this running with this. My blu-ray drive is an internal SATA drive, but it wouldn't show up until doing these commands. But as mentioned by others, it doesn't survive restarting the Docker container.
  24. I would like to know this too, thanks to anybody who knows.
  25. It gets weirder...I had a look at my emails again, and two of the drives reported 200MB/s, and the other one "inf MB/sec", only on the 25% post read email. Unfortunately I've lost track of which drive was plugged into where...but I had two drives plugged into a USB hub, and the other one directly into the back of the computer, if that matters. I'm guessing it shouldn't. Thought I'd mention it.
