  1. Hi, Thanks for this! it is (hopefully) what I am looking for 🙂 I am currently using DelugeVPN using my credentials file & login, can I use the same credentials file & login similtaneously with this docker as well? After looking at the log it seems to be logged in via VPN, cannot find a way of testing or wether or not dual logins are allowed with PIA? Great Work!
  2. I have the same issue, restart the docker and all is well again for 12 hours or so..
  3. Yes, same issues... I posted in a couple of forums with my diagnostics and screenshots but no responses so figured it was a waste of time. Let me know what card you end up with please!
  4. Just to update after my nightmare with the Perc H330 I bought the Unicaca SAS 3008, it has AVAGO SAS3008 Firmware and plugged & Played! Working perfectly with stunning speed especially on the SAS Drive at 12gb/s Perfect for £50!
  5. Hi, I am revisiting this docker again and just have a question regarding the cpu priority. I have an i7-3770K overclocked to 4.2Ghz and would like Handbrake to use all of it unless something else calls for the CPU power (Windows 10 VM, Plex, etc) It says in the documentation that 19 is the lowest priority, does anyone have any real world expierience with this or would it be better to use CPU pinning? Another option but I cannot find it is to encode during the middle of the night.
  6. Just wanted to add a thanks for this as it has brought my write speed up from 45mb/s to 240mb/s! Many Many Thanks! 🙂 Hopefully this will be built into unRAID in the future!
  7. Looks like buying the H330 was a bad move! don't know how your one works but according to countless forums I have spent all afternoon/evening reading it is not possible to flash the H330 into IT mode 😞
  8. Hi, I have a Dell PERC H330 on the latest bios from DELL (May 2018) which I put into HBA Mode via CTRL-R in the card's bios The Card detects 8 drives (1 SAS & 7 SATA) perfectly. unRAID detects the card as expected but not any of the drives attached to it here are some screens from investigations so far, can anyone help? Does this need to be flashed into IT mode? Many Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi, I am on the same firmware (it is from May 18) & I have tried all 3 PCI-e slots. I tried in my Windows 10 Desktop and all works perfectly so the card is good! I did try in a 3rd machine and it prevented the motherboard from loading the bios but this is well known with Dell cards and you have to blank off pins 5&6 on the card for it to work in non-dell machines. I guess I am stuffed, I cannot find anything concrete on the IT Mode, is yours in IT mode? does it exist for this card? Thanks for your time @LammeN3rd
  10. dmesg | grep scsi doesn't output anything...
  11. Hi, Sorry but been offline trying to flash this card but no luck with that either due to sas3flash not detecting the card "sas3flash no avago sas adapters found" here is my output, not looking good!
  12. It was disabled but changed it to automatic no change...
  13. yes mate, in HBA Mode Card's bios shows 8 drives connected. I went into the cards bios and can see 12gb/s connection to the SAS drive & 6gb/s to the sata drives. unRAID won't play! Just reading about flashing IT mode now, hopefully that is going to resolve it
  14. Hi, Bit gutted! My Dell Perc H330 turned up today, set the card's bios to HBA mode, all 8 drives detected ok but unraid does not see them? The card is showing under devices in unRAID Any ideas?
  15. So if I use the PERC H330 for my SAS 12gb/S Drives & SATA 3 Drives I will get 12gb/S Performance on my SAS & 6GB Performance on my SATA's BUT if I use an expander on that PERC H330 then I will only get the performance speed of the lowest drive... I hope I have got this right?
  16. I have learnt so much in 24 hours! Thanks so much for all your time @LammeN3rd & @johnnie.black 🙂
  17. So would you say a SAS 2008 running at X4 would be better than on board SATA? These are the on-board controllers I have
  18. Ah, that's fantastic, I would be able to run my SAS 12GB Drives and 6GB SATA Drives all off the PERC H330 then! So I can lose the SAS 2008 completely as I have 8 SATA Ports on my Motherboard as well to run my 6GB/S SATA Drives (I have 16 Drives in total) One last question if you don't mind, would I be better off putting my SSD Cache Drive (6GB/S SATA) on the PERC rather than a SATA 3 connector on the Motherboard? Many Thanks Again For All Your Time!
  19. This is great info @LammeN3rd Thank you! I am learning a lot from you. Is Databolt only on the LSI cards though? (I thought it was an LSI Technology?) I was going to go down the route of running 2 cards and keeping only the 12gb SAS drives on the H330 as I believe if I connect my 12GB SAS Drives on the same card as my 6GB SATA Drives the card would only run as fast as the slowest drive? The reason for this thinking was to keep the parity drives on 12GB SAS. What expander do you use on the PERC H330? Here is my motherboard config and I think I would have an issue doing this as the PCI Lanes would slow down due to the amount of cards I have installed? I have a PERC H330 PCIeX8 Gen3 on the way going in slot 1 SAS 2008 PCIeX8 Gen2 (6GB/S) Slot 2 Mellonox 10gbe PCIeX8 Gen2 slot 3
  20. Hi, I already have 2 6gb controllers but I have 12gb drives now and will be getting more in the future.
  21. Fantastic thank you! Just waiting for delivery now 😉
  22. This looks promising! I got this from the Dell Website for the H330 Switching the controller to HBA mode NOTE: Prior to switching the controller from the RAID mode to the HBA mode, ensure that you review the pre-requisites. For more information see the Prerequisites for RAID to HBA mode transition. 1 Enter the Dell PERC 9 Configuration Utility. See Navigating to PERC 9 Configuration Utility. 2 Click Controller Management > Advanced Controller Management > Switch to HBA mode. The controller is switched to the HBA mode. You must reboot the system for the change to be eected. 3 Click OK.
  23. Thanks buddy! hopefully @LammeN3rd can confirm, then I will read up on selecting drivers! didn't know you could do that in unRAID 🙂
  24. Thanks @johnnie.black I have found a Dell HBA330+ for £120 (UK) a PERC H330 For £79 (UK) and a LSI 3008 for £85 (China) I guess if the PERC H330 works as @LammeN3rd says then there would be no benefit paying the extra for the HBA330+ or waiting a month for the LSI from China and just go for the PERC? Any final thought's before I hit the buy now button? Many Thanks for all your time guys
