  1. If you assign the ethernet to the VM then Unraid can't use it. If you don't assign the ethernet to the VM, then Unraid can use it, and the VM can use the network through the host (Unraid).
  2. Are you sure? You shouldn't need Maintenance mode checked to enable the Start button. Just check the "Yes, I want to do this" box.
  3. Disk5 passed extended SMART self-test. Emulated disk5 is mounted, but empty or nearly so. Is that expected? Probably hadn't got past highwater on disk2 yet so it probably is since all of the later disks are similar.
  4. And you must allow it to rebuild parity with the New Config. In other words, DON'T check the box saying parity is valid.
  5. Attach Diagnostics to your NEXT post in this thread
  6. Try to fix whatever caused problems before attempting rebuild.
  7. Since you have dual parity and only one disabled disk, and all disks are mountable including the emulated disk, should be OK if you can complete rebuild.
  8. Those are actually preferred over SATA-SATA splitters since Molex can handle more current.
  9. How are these disks powered? Any splitters? Too many on one cable?
  10. Some problem with the way your parity is partitioned or something like that. RAID controllers are not recommended for many reasons, maybe this is one of them. You will probably have to wait several hours for @JorgeB It's after 1am in that time zone.
  11. If you had we probably would have told you how to proceed.
  12. This is most likely something your browser is doing, such as an adblocker.
  13. Your backup should have the config folder, which is really the whole point, since everything else can just be downloaded again. The config folder has everything about your specific configuration, all of the settings you have made in the webUI. All the rest is just the OS archive for a particular Unraid version. You should try to see if you can use the same flash drive so you won't have to do a license transfer. yes
  14. You were trying to lookup the documentation for repairing the filesystem of an unmountable disk. Disabled and unmountable are 2 different and independent conditions, requiring different fixes. A disk can be enabled and unmountable, or disabled and mountable, or both disabled and also unmountable. All we know so far is that the disk is disabled.
  15. @notalek If the disk is bad you must either replace it, or shrink the array and rebuild parity without it.
  16. Looks like you must be talking about disk4. You don't want to keep questionable disks in the array. It could prevent you from rebuilding a different disk if that becomes necessary. Parity by itself can rebuild nothing. In order to reliably rebuild every bit of a disk, it must be able to reliably read every bit of all other disks. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/what-is-unraid/#parity-protected-array Run an extended SMART self-test on disk4. Do any of your disks show SMART warning ( 👎 ) on the Dashboard page?
  17. Most likely disk5 disconnected, which is not uncommon for USB, and likely to occur again since there is nothing you can do about it. If you were using SATA/SAS connections then not only would it be much less likely, but you could try to troubleshoot it by changing cables, etc. Start the array in normal (not maintenance) mode and post new diagnostics so we can see if emulated disk5 is mounting.
  18. It wasn't clear from your initial post that this had anything to do with a system running Unraid, since that filesystem isn't supported for any Unraid assigned devices. And you said you had several disks with the problem. Unassigned Devices plugin will let you work with that filesystem, but it wouldn't be common to have several of these in use all the time. And it wasn't clear the message you quoted was from Unraid syslog since there is no timestamp or server name at the beginning
  19. Are you sure the CPU cooling is working?
  20. You should do memtest before doing anything else, just in case. Bad RAM is a very serious issue.
  21. Can you tell if the computer powers on? Can you tell if the monitor powers on?
