  1. This is what I always do but many diagnostics I look at including these are not using DHCP.
  2. Since you have assigned a static IP, are you sure your server is on the same subnet as the rest of your network? And no other device has taken that IP?
  3. system/ethtool: Settings for eth0: ... Speed: 1000Mb/s ... Link detected: yes ... -------------------------------- Settings for eth1: ... Speed: Unknown! ... Link detected: no ... -------------------------------- Settings for eth2: ... Speed: Unknown! ... Link detected: no ... --------------------------------
  4. If you added the disk to a new data slot in an array that already had valid parity, then Unraid clears the disk so parity is maintained. This will usually take several hours. After clearing, Unraid will let you format the disk. So, in light of what I just said, do you have anything to add to your description?
  5. See if you can get diagnostics from command line and attach complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
  6. Are you saying you formatted a disk with Unassigned Devices, then used that disk to rebuild disk7 in the array? Why? Rebuild completely overwrites the disk with the formatted filesystem of the original disk with all its files, so formatting it before using it as a replacement is completely pointless. I always worry when someone seems to misunderstand "format" because a lot of people have mistakenly thought they could format a disk in the array then restore its data from parity.
  7. Why haven't you setup Syslog Server? What version of Unraid are you running now? Did you try the stable release?
  8. The good news is none of your other data disks should be affected, and since each disk is an independent filesystem, all the files that were on those disks should be fine. Do you have backups? You must always have another copy of anything important and irreplaceable. Parity only helps you recover from a failed disk. Lots of other more common ways to lose data, including user error.
  9. Did you ever get Syslog Server setup?
  10. Order doesn't matter with single parity. However If I understand your first post correctly, I suspect parity may be far from valid at this point, since you were shrinking the array. Parity might be less out-of-sync if you put those other disks back in. Wait for @JorgeB to comment further.
  11. Are you using the server for anything else during this?
  12. SMART attributes 1 and 200 are also important for WD Red drives, but you have to add these attributes to the list for each drive before Unraid will warn about them. I don't know if the various preclear utilities report on those attributes or not.
  13. NZBGet is telling radarr that the file is at /data/Complete/... Suspect you don't have a /data folder in radarr. Study the links Squid gave.
  14. No point in formatting it first because Unraid will clear it when you add it to a new slot. Then you can format it while it is in the array. Suspect the question is based on a vague idea of what format does. Be sure to get a new backup of flash after. Reusing parity as data is exactly the scenario you don't want to be caught with an old backup that thinks that disk is still parity. Several have lost data that way.
  15. Moved the thread to Legacy Support. I don't know if anyone is going to remember what to do. Probably most on the forum have never even used that version. I seem to remember there not really being any method that would always successfully give a clean shutdown. Sometimes even on the latest a hard reset is necessary. And it isn't likely to make anything worse. If you want to try to give us more information see here:
  16. Return Merchandise Authorization In other words, return for warranty replacement or refund
  17. Moving or copying files using any method could cause unexpected results if you mix user shares and disks. Moving can also cause unexpected results when both source and destination are user shares. See this post for an explanation of both scenarios:
  18. I am guessing this is autocorrect for "As trurl said" 😁
  19. Arguably rebuild is slightly easier and probably less likely to make errors, but people sometimes invent ways to make errors anyway. Let us know if you need more details about how to proceed.

Don't understand. Blocking incoming ports are the purpose of firewall. You definitely don't want to allow most ports especially 80,443. Use the built-in WireGuard VPN if you want remote access to your server.
  21. And it would likely be a major change to the way parity currently works for little or no benefit. Changing the core NAS functionality at this level would require more testing than almost anything else attempted. Expect this to be so far down the priority list to never happen.
