  1. Upgraded all three of my servers and there is only one small hiccup. Generally speaking, the upgrades were done in under five minutes and worked flawlessly! I really like the new GUI's!!! 👏 **************************************************** Moved To General Support As for the hiccup... I have this video card in Server ONE: IOMMU group 45:[1002:94c3] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV610 [Radeon HD 2400 PRO] In Server TWO I have: [102b:0532]05:03.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Electronics Systems Ltd. MGA G200eW WPCM450 (rev 0a). I also use this four-port KVM from Rosewill: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004B0H5R6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used to be able to cycle through the three servers displays no problem, if and only if, the server was being displayed on the monitor during boot. So, boot server with display running/selected, no problems. Now though, if I try to cycle through the displays, they are gone. Again, boot and you have video: so, boot server ONE with display, good video. Change to server TWO, boot with display, good video. Go back to server ONE and video is gone, try to move back to server TWO, video now gone, same for Server THREE. (Also, if I just turn the monitor off, the same thing happens, video is gone regardless of server selected) Interestingly, this used to only be an issue with server ONE and was simply an annoyance; just never got around to bringing it up here. Now though, this presents a problem as I have had times where the web GUI stopped responding and that keyboard and display saved my bacon. I am only at the discovery stage, so if anyone has troubleshooting ideas, let me know; I would appreciate it. ********************************************************* GREAT job on the new release!!! Kudos LimeTech Team! 👍
  2. Hi @cybrnook, Wow! Thank you! 👏 First, apologies for the late reply; work has been an absolute bear lately. Second, this is exactly what I was hoping for in the way of direction. I do not have the time to implement the instructions right now, but I will re-post the results for others to use too. So, thank you again and I am excited about trying to make this work; I have been struggling with this for a while! Take care
  3. Hi All, Has anyone had any luck getting NUT setup as a server on one unRAID server and then getting other unRAID servers to see it? I tried via USB just to test if NUT would recognize the UPS, no joy with that. I currently have three servers that I would like to utilize the functionality of NUT with. However, I cannot even get NUT to ‘see’ the UPS (Cyber Power OR2200LCD). It is supposed to be supported according to the man pages using this driver UPSHID-UPS. Yes, well, I have little hair left and that was before I started puling it out trying to get this to work. So, if anyone has suggestions on how to get this to work, assume I am an idiot (which I must be since I can’t even get the USB to connection to work) and start from scratch with config-ing NUT (including any drivers that need installed). Thank you all for your continued support to those of us still learning, and to the guys at unRAID for such a great product!
  4. Good to know. Looked at the 'parallel' command, but that is a bit over my head so I will stick to the basics for now. Thanks again!
  5. Hi @tr0910 - it is a story nonetheless and I thank you for sharing it (and all of your rsync work). Who knows, in some far off day maybe many others will discover the utility of unRAID for something other than being a media server. At present, I am guilty of the latter, but do have designs on being a "Contributor" someday! @johnnie.black - Worked like a charm! One thing was rather concerning though, during the 'sync' CPU 8 and 12, out of 24, were pegged at 100% usage while the others were only 10-20% usage. Normal? Is there a way to spread the love around? (And for those wondering, yes, I DO own the discs! )
  6. Hmm okay. So to disable parity, temporarily, just stop the array, 'remove' the parity drive (remove it from the current config), restart the array, ignore the warnings and roll with a test? Do you think that will at least get me a steady +/- 115Mb/s? After the test just re-enable parity by stopping the array, 're-installing' the parity drive (adding it back to the config), restarting the array and let parity run (for days and days and days... 😵) **I am being verbose in case someone else needs this info**
  7. @johnnie.black ran a test and had an interesting outcome. Any thoughts on why I went from +/- 115Mb/s to 50Mb/s? Thermal? Test bkup disk is an - HGST HUS726060ALA640 Ultrastar He6 (Helium Platform) 6TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s NO cache, but parity is still enabled... 64GB ram and processors did not seem to be working hard at all.
  8. You mention I get the disabling Parity, but you mention "disks" instead of files/folders. If you have the time, would mind elaborating or pointing me to a post(s) that explain?
  9. <Sigh> I've been looking around too and cannot find an alternative backup solution for unRAID. I went down this whole 10Gbe road just to try to p/u some speed (have about 20Tb I need to backup). I couldn't be more disappointed; I wish I would have saved my money. I really appreciate your chatting with me about it. Props Bud... you help a lot of people. Thanks!
  10. Okay, I thought so. I did not bring any of this up (in original post) as I wanted to make sure I had the basics down. I did lay my rsync string out (very similar to what you suggested) with the assumption data would flow OUT the 10Gbe as it was the only NIC with that addressing schema. It just did not seem like it was working as the speed was atrociously slow. So, based on what your saying... The 150 MB/s is the best I can hope for?
  11. Hi @johnnie.black, Appreciate the reply. And @tr0910 beat me to the obvious question! I did a bunch of digging on the whole rsync backing up, including the post by tr0910 and his remote to China (there has to be a story there) I, more or less, get the concept of SSH, but have not used it yet. So, let me start by asking: does SSH-ing in 'make the connection' between the two machines? In other words, does using SSH give me the ability to specify that I want to connect from NIC-A (local) to NIC-B (remote)?
  12. Hello – Anyone have experience with getting rsync to use a dedicated NIC to another dedicated NIC (rsync-ing peer-to-peer)? Configuration: unRAID Server #1 – basic Gb network (eth0 & eth1 bonded) with a 192.168.1.x schema with a gateway AND a 10Gbe NIC with a 10.10.10.X schema and NO gateway. unRAID Server #2 (same config as above) with different values for “X” of course. My goal is to get rsync to exclusively use the 10Gbe NIC’s to do my backups. So, the rsyc action would only occur on the 10.10.10.X network. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is what I have been messing around with: rsync -u -v -r -P --address=10.10.10.221:/mnt/user/* 10.10.10.225:/mnt/user/vault --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If anyone can help me get this first part to work, I can figure there rest out from other posts I’ve read so far. Thanks in advance everyone!
  13. How bout it! And... doing things like this is how we learn 😉 Thanks again. Have a good evening!
  14. Cool! Thanks @Michael_P, I will give it a read. I realize this card was really not meant to be in IT mode, but... 🔨
  15. Hi all, Any chance anyone has experience with flashing an LSI 9266-8i to being a JBOD card? I have googled until I've just about worn the letters off my keyboard and cannot find a straightforward answer. Thanks in advance fora any directions!
  16. First, as always, thanks @binhex for keeping your containers up-to-date... it is appreciated! Last 2-4 weeks I have had a problem where Radarr will not 'rename', will not 'move' file to my media folder, nor can I manually import the files. However, Sonarr continues to works flawlessly. I have compared the settings, just make sure I didn't hose anything up, and they are identical. Again After a bit of googling I discovered this, but I am not sure if it is still being worked on or if anyone knows of a work-around. As of now I need to manually edit the file names and move the files. Guess I got spoiled by how well it worked previously. Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE - SOLVED !!! So, after considerable donations to the "swear jar" and REALLY perusing the error log of Radarr, I discovered there was a "path" error. Now, how the path changed in the first place is still a mystery as I didn't touch it. All I ever did is update the container. The path in Radarr needed changed to /mnt/usr/*my_server*/media/ from what it was originally: /mnt/usr/*my_server*/media/movies/ Now, I do not know if it was a change in the Radarr container or SabNZB container, when they were recently upgraded, or if it simply was gremlins, the "Ex-Wife," my neighbors who are witches, or what... but it is now working. What still has me puzzled though is this, if the path in the Radarr setup ends in /aaa/bbb/ssss/media/, how is it getting moved into my new Movies folder??? Strange. I hope thios can help someone else if they start to have the same problems. BTW, the log file line that lead me to this discovery was "Movies' root folder (/media/movies) doesn't exist." After that error I started digging in and between changing the "Folder" setting in SabNZB and dropping "/movies/" from the path in the setup of Radarr, It all started working again! Now, if I could just figure how to flash this @##$% LSi card to IT mode...
  17. Hi @Squid, Reconfigured my CA Backup/Restore from this mess and the backup of appdata, libvirt, and flash (with compression and verify) took ~45 min for the 40Gb of data! I simply wanted to post that this plugin is great and worked wonderfully! Thank you again! 🍻 Now to figure out rsync and rclone...
  18. Worked like a charm! Thanks a bunch. There are those of us who really do appreciate all you guys do to support the community! Happy New Year my friend!

  20. Here you go... Sorry to bother you on a holiday. I did try to figure this out via the wiki's and what have you.
  21. @binhex Setup Error: Hello, Had to reinstall (deleted ALL parts of previous i.e. appdata entries) but keep getting this error every time I start Krusader container (always acts like it is the first time it is being installed) (Note: plenty of disk space available) Then... When I try to create a bookmark in Krusader, I get this error. Here is the config: As always, all assistance/direction is greatly appreciated! Happy New Year to all!!!
  22. I take your point. But, if the backups are a invoked as a "manual" would that interfere with the variables for the scheduled "settings"? Couldn't the code for "manual" simply bypass the parameters section for "scheduled backups"? (I promise 😉 I am not trying to create more work for you! You already do a LOT for this community!) Again, I get your point. What I am referring to as having two, three, ten "mount points" in the settings for the backups. One last question: Is there any real benefit to using the cache drive? I understand the backup "write" will be speedier, but is it THAT much faster and does that really and truly matter? (except to the speed freaks of course)
  23. @Squid So, I “eff-ed” this up on my own. Great! Just freaking great! I am headed to the liquor store to prepare for my night ahead… For idiots like me, when you have the time, could you code for --- if var=“delete_backups” < var=“scheduled_backup_frequency” Msgbox: “Hey moron, make the “delete_backups” parameter greater!!!” I am trying to be light-hearted, but it really would be a decent add to the program. I did have an additional rational thought though. While I have no doubt that the appdata backups were there, what if there was an option to duplicate them. I know backup creation time is lengthy, and some will complain about the idea, but… I started years back with a Synology box for desktop backups, that I then tied to an Amazon server (AWS) for additional backup. Is there any chance of adding additional “Destination Share(s)” to AppData Backup/Restore that might link to Remote or Network Shares? For example, I could do an additional backup to my old Synology that I still use for documents, and then it goes up to AWS. Maybe even add an option for a different frequency for that second backup? Do you think the same thing could be done with appdata backup/restore? BTW, thanks for looking at this for me Squid. I still can’t believe I have to rebuild my entire primary server… it is what it is… this really sucks! I am going to go have a tantrum and then get started. Thanks again and have a good rest of the night!
