As for the traffic, you hit the nail on the head with the port forwarding (read speed); though my ultimate goal is for all my traffic to be tunneled. With respect to the API call, I am assuming this script is what you are referring to? Since my near-term goal is to implement pfSense, is it worth it (admittedly a noob here, but learning) to set up the outbound container? From my early discovery, it appears that pfSense may have both In and Out OVPN functionality built-in; assuming one has a VPN account. Lastly, if setting up the second container, pfSense or not, is the only answer, would using SpaceInvaders Virtual VPN be the best approach to an outbound tunnel?

Is It Possible? OpenVPN-AS inbound AND tunnel out to PIA on same server? Hi All, Curious if anyone has successfully setup OpenVPN-AS (docker) to create a persistent tunnel to PIA (would this be a client then?); my inbound client connections are working beautifully! And if anyone has, would they be willing to share their config? All the reading I have done has me undecided if I could make both happen. It seems OPVN can do either, but I cannot find any specific documentation on how to make it do both; only hints that it can. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks everyone.

Yeah, I was looking at them but I was concerned about the recent spate of security issues. I realize nothing is ever going to be totally secure, well, maybe index cards (until you lose them), but do they actually work well? Do you just not have the the need or do you take a different approach to staying organized? (I'll be back... have to start on the "Honey Do" list... UGH!)

Greetings All! I am hoping to start a conversation about syncing calendars and contacts (?files?) on unRAID and phones; Android in my case. I LOVE my unRAID servers (have four of em’); a bit overkill but it is fun! I cannot for the life of me find a straightforward solution for email/calendar usage and syncing. I have scoured Google, looked here, and most of what I am seeing is general unhappiness with all products. I am really only looking for a solution that sync’s my calendar(S) and contacts, period. Being able to sync files would be nice, but my real need is the calendar/contacts. At present, I have the old version of Synology’s webserver CalDav/CardDav running on a Syno box (I would like to remove this from the mix). The Syno talks to ‘DAVx5” which talks to a FANTASTIC add-on to Outlook 2016 (NOT 365 ~ HATE IT!) called “CalDav Synchronizer,” and a calendar app on my Android, all of which manages to keep things synced up. But the first little bit of flatulence and the whole thing crumbles. So, I am looking for a simple, elegant, and secure way to keep my calendar and contacts all synced up… that’s it! ANY and ALL ideas are worth hearing. And even though I have looked at a bazillion different products and options, I really want to hear from you all as to what is working for you. Even if that means an entirely different approach! I trust my fellow RAIDERS! Thanks in advance for all the feedback and Happy Turkey Day 🦃 to all that are indulging next week! P.S. Is there no way to incorporate something like this into the unRaid or at least a Docker of something?

Hi @MandalorePatriot, Not sure if this is helpful at all, but I had the same situation with a CyberPower (CP) unit. Found out from support the CP unit software had to run on the server; no Docker exists for it that I am aware of. I am 99% certain you are going to run into the same thing, unless someone knows of a Docker to run the APC network software. No USB?Serial at all huh? No RJ11 acting as the Serial port either?

All very good points; I didn't really think about the battery longevity either. So set everything to zero, but "Time on battery before shutdown (seconds)" should be set to xx seconds, yy seconds, zz seconds, etc. Yes?

AMAZING!!! @jonathanm AND @Pirate Thanks for the help. I used the START and STOP as suggested and kept getting nothing but errors, all of which were PORT related. I tried scoping out the USB ports and then tried a SERIAL connection... same thing. Weird part is, in APCUPSD both the USB and SERIAL worked fine!? Ergo, more research. The LAST thing I wanted to do was buy more hardware! (I really do want to play with some of the ODROID's and R-Pi's though!) Then like the proverbial slap upside the head, it hit me... I have two other (smaller) CyberPower (CP) units runiing the modem, router, etc. I've tried everything else, why not try Jonathanm's suggestion about the "very cheap UPS?" IT WORKED!!!! I plugged the USB cable into the one smaller CP unit. Now the servers and the "very cheap UPS" (VCUPS) are chatting like old ladies playing Canasta! hahahaha Thanks to you both for the assist in FINALLY getting this up and running. Now, I would like to ask for a 'math check' The big CP OR2200LCDRTXL2U, under normal load, has a max of 45 minutes run time. The VCUPS has a run time of 100 minutes under normal load. Since the VCUPS is the 'master' in this setup, if I set it (master), and the 'slave' to both shutdown at "Run time left to initiate shutdown (minutes)" of 75, then that should give me an ~20 minute buffer for the servers to shutdown, correct? So: VCUPS gets to 75 minutes The big CP unit is at about 20 minutes Does this sound about right?

Hi @Pirate, I realize this is not a direct answer, but I am having similar problems but with a CyberPower unit. I have dome everything but witchcraft to try to make NUT talk to it; including buying the $100 network card. I think it may have something to do with remnants of NUT files, from previous install attempts of NUT, floating around that I cannot find and they need to be removed for a clean reinstall of NUT. I follow this thread so maybe if you find answer, would you be so kind as to post it? I have three servers i would love to use NUT with... but cannot. -Thanks!

Hi @cybrnook, Didn't mean to disappear, but a lot transpired over the last few weeks and this has been my first opportunity to look at this again. So, I worked on this a bit, using all of the advice here and some gleaned from other posts, and believe that there are 'pieces' of NUT still floating around after the uninstall. Do you, or anyone, have steps to manually check if all the hidey-holes are cleaned out when BUT is uninstalled? I would like to start there and then begin again; but not until next week as I have to work nights the entire weekend! UGH! I double checked and the Cyber Power OR2200LCD should work fine with the 'Usbhid-ups' driver. Thanks much!!!

Upgraded all three of my servers and there is only one small hiccup. Generally speaking, the upgrades were done in under five minutes and worked flawlessly! I really like the new GUI's!!! 👏 **************************************************** Moved To General Support As for the hiccup... I have this video card in Server ONE: IOMMU group 45:[1002:94c3] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV610 [Radeon HD 2400 PRO] In Server TWO I have: [102b:0532]05:03.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Electronics Systems Ltd. MGA G200eW WPCM450 (rev 0a). I also use this four-port KVM from Rosewill: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004B0H5R6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used to be able to cycle through the three servers displays no problem, if and only if, the server was being displayed on the monitor during boot. So, boot server with display running/selected, no problems. Now though, if I try to cycle through the displays, they are gone. Again, boot and you have video: so, boot server ONE with display, good video. Change to server TWO, boot with display, good video. Go back to server ONE and video is gone, try to move back to server TWO, video now gone, same for Server THREE. (Also, if I just turn the monitor off, the same thing happens, video is gone regardless of server selected) Interestingly, this used to only be an issue with server ONE and was simply an annoyance; just never got around to bringing it up here. Now though, this presents a problem as I have had times where the web GUI stopped responding and that keyboard and display saved my bacon. I am only at the discovery stage, so if anyone has troubleshooting ideas, let me know; I would appreciate it. ********************************************************* GREAT job on the new release!!! Hi All, Has anyone had any luck getting NUT setup as a server on one unRAID server and then getting other unRAID servers to see it? I tried via USB just to test if NUT would recognize the UPS, no joy with that. I currently have three servers that I would like to utilize the functionality of NUT with. However, I cannot even get NUT to ‘see’ the UPS (Cyber Power OR2200LCD). It is supposed to be supported according to the man pages using this driver UPSHID-UPS. Yes, well, I have little hair left and that was before I started puling it out trying to get this to work. So, if anyone has suggestions on how to get this to work, assume I am an idiot (which I must be since I can’t even get the USB to connection to work) and start from scratch with config-ing NUT (including any drivers that need installed). Thank you all for your continued support to those of us still learning, and to the guys at unRAID for such a great product!

First, as always, thanks @binhex for keeping your containers up-to-date... it is appreciated! Last 2-4 weeks I have had a problem where Radarr will not 'rename', will not 'move' file to my media folder, nor can I manually import the files. However, Sonarr continues to works flawlessly. I have compared the settings, just make sure I didn't hose anything up, and they are identical. Again After a bit of googling I discovered this, but I am not sure if it is still being worked on or if anyone knows of a work-around. As of now I need to manually edit the file names and move the files. Guess I got spoiled by how well it worked previously. Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE - SOLVED !!! So, after considerable donations to the "swear jar" and REALLY perusing the error log of Radarr, I discovered there was a "path" error. Now, how the path changed in the first place is still a mystery as I didn't touch it. All I ever did is update the container. The path in Radarr needed changed to /mnt/usr/*my_server*/media/ from what it was originally: /mnt/usr/*my_server*/media/movies/ Now, I do not know if it was a change in the Radarr container or SabNZB container, when they were recently upgraded, or if it simply was gremlins, the "Ex-Wife," my neighbors who are witches, or what... but it is now working. What still has me puzzled though is this, if the path in the Radarr setup ends in /aaa/bbb/ssss/media/, how is it getting moved into my new Movies folder??? Strange. I hope thios can help someone else if they start to have the same problems. BTW, the log file line that lead me to this discovery was "Movies' root folder (/media/movies) doesn't exist." After that error I started digging in and between changing the "Folder" setting in SabNZB and dropping "/movies/" from the path in the setup of Radarr, It all started working again! Now, if I could just figure how to flash this @##$% LSi card to IT mode...

Hi @Squid, Reconfigured my CA Backup/Restore from this mess and the backup of appdata, libvirt, and flash (with compression and verify) took ~45 min for the 40Gb of data! I simply wanted to post that this plugin is great and worked wonderfully! Thank you again! 🍻 Now to figure out rsync and rclone...

@binhex Setup Error: Hello, Had to reinstall (deleted ALL parts of previous i.e. appdata entries) but keep getting this error every time I start Krusader container (always acts like it is the first time it is being installed) (Note: plenty of disk space available) Then... Hi @Chrysen, Unfortunately, I do not have any USB attached, other than the unRAID stick. Everything is on the network. This really stinks too because, I forgot to mention this earlier, every time I have to reboot, that server locks up and I have to reset. REALLY do not like having to hit the 'reset' button. Always fearful of corruption and it costs me a (32-hour) parity check. Thank again for the potentially fix though. Hope you had a nice holiday.

(Squid, your profile pics and quips crack me up! haha) So I have the same issue as munit85 described, the UD's go missing after rebooting the server they were attached to. The spinning circle of death appears... I have to reboot to get them back... Any thoughts on how to get them back without having to reboot? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Pick an interface… any interface 😁 Happy Holidays everyone! 🎅 I am fortunate enough to have picked up a (dual) 10Gbe Mellanox card for one of my unRAID servers that has Krusader on it. What I would like to do is specify one of the ports (eth2) that is peer-to-peer to another unRAID server. Is there a way that I can tell Krusader to only use the eth2 port and not the br0 (eth0 & eth1) that goes to my switch? My goal is to utilize the speed of the 10Gbe to do file transfers, backups, etc. As always, all thoughts are greatly appreciated! ***EDIT*** Duh! Once I created a "Share" using the addy/path through the 10Gbe NIC, all the traffic in Krusader went through it. sheeesh... a little more left brain next time. Now, if I could just get the speed up from 1Gbe (one) to 10(ish)Gbe, I would be a happy camper! Going SSD to SSD (Crucial MX500) so, they should give me something in the 4Gbe range, instead of 1Gbe. Going to bump the MTU up to 9000 and see if that helps. Happy Ho Ho! 🎅
