Thanks mate. 1. I am connecting directly now because of the situation and my switch failed or something. My network doesnt switch to gigabit through the switch, I am suspecting the network switch only. Also I need to copy few files only and after that the server will be moved to another location. So i dont think getting a new switch is an option too. 2. Am curious see how this connection works ;)

Hi, I would like to know the step by step configuration procedure for connecting Unraid with My pc directly without using network switch or router. I couldn't find exactly what needs to be done in specifics on regards to IP management and how and where it should be done on both windows side and Unraid side. Little dumb in this sense please help.

I dont have, if it is there it must be inside the server only. May be in the ssd cache drive or something. I dont remember properly of these information at this point.

Hi, Its been sometime, and after covid am just dusting a old server to get my files, to my surprise the OS pendrive is missing. Is it possible to retrieve the machine license and files in the machine to its original state ? Please help.

Hei guys the rebuild started but had to be interferred because of repeated power cuts here. I tried to rebuild today. Its showing 1000 days something for the finish time. also the speed is very very low. Like even KB's at times. Thanks guys !! Love you unraid people Its rebuilding. Is it because bad shut downs ? or something i can fix, its been happening every here and then. In addition can i get to know why there are errors in Disk 5 also how do i avoid getting such errors.

May i know how to start the rebuild process? Steps would be easy to follow.

I couldn't replace the cables but I did change the mode to ahci and rebooted. Attached the diags tower-diagnostics-20201027-1613.zip

Its connected to the Dell H310 with a SAS connector and this is the first and only hard disc connected with the 310. I dont have any replacement cables available in the local market, should take atleast a week or more. And this problem hasn't happened in the same hard drive all 3 times, it was different drive each time. I ll check with the bios and change if needed., will post you the details.

Hei guys facing similar problems here. Contents are emulated but disabled disk. Its the third time in the row not sure why this is happening, may be because of the disc over heating? OMG!! It took me sometime to figure out this but I really have to say a big thank you that you have saved me finally. Been struggling with openvpn for so long(10months literally) and finally. Finally things fell into place with zerotier. Am so much relieved. My only concern is how much safe is this? My main work platform is this NAS if this goes down or the files go 'bye bye" that's the end of my business era. Just concerned of the security in this, except that am all in heavens now.
