  1. Based on the go file command it looks like a folder bin is created under custom to hold the s2ram and s3.sh files.
  2. How many drives do you intend to add over the life of this motherboard?
  3. Is the cable the Norco breakout or you went with another brand? I'm just having a tough time with every backplane being busted. Make sure the drives are fully seated in the caddy. Push them back into the slot all the way. Make sure power is connected well too. Just looked at syslog. According to that it sees 2 drives. If the bios doesn't see the drives unRaid won't either. Like I said it's unlikely all the backplanes are bad. That doesn't mean it's not possible. Connect it all up and verify all the connections. Don't boot into unRaid. Work with MB bios only. Work with only one drive until you figure out what is keeping the bios from seeing the drives.
  4. What hba are you using? Motherboard has a 8087 connector?
  5. Drivers are built in. The upgrade path is with a new release so no you can't upgrade drivers at least not in traditional terms. You could recompile with new/upgraded drivers but that process is involved. You would have to recompile if the latest release is missing what you added at the time you upgrade. Easier to just stick to known working hardware. This is why most with nic issues just add a intel nic and disable the other. Go ahead and pre clear. It will take some time. As explained cache improves perceived write speeds. Has nothing to do with playback. I stream 15 Gb video files to xbmc using 4.7 and smb shares no problem.
  6. I'm actually working on both of these right now! Wondering if this lost steam? Thanks
  7. I think you meant the bottom one. I saw the beta gui and moved on. It looks like the beta gui inside of unmenu.
  8. We always need more ports. Getting the 8 port is a better buy in the long run. I have a adaptec 1430sa. Its a 4 port card that works on my 4.7 build. Can't say if it will work the same on beta14.
  9. Bottom is the beta and top is a beta addon. Here is the link to the beta addon. Don't put on your system unless you upgrade to the beta. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12698.0;topicseen
  10. Is this name resolution issue only with Tower on that pc? Post ipconfig /all for both win7 systems. Also confirm unRaid is set as master browser.
  11. You can also confirm gateway and dns settings on pc. Those settings should work on unRaid system.
  12. Openelec version of XBMC on Zotac ND22 and Acer Revo. At first I used a Linux and XBMC install. I had to monkey around to get the ir remote and screen size to work properly. I switched to Openelec andt it just worked. Haven't looked back. Now that Eden is out I will try XBMC again. I would suggest giving both a go. Prod version of Openelec is based on Dharma Though. I've been running the dev version without problems just be careful if you go that way.
  13. Now rolling with X9SCM, E3-1240, MV8 and a 1430s a in a 4224 case. My original plan was to add my M1015 and install vmware. I would create a 4.7 and beta guest as a means to get the best of both worlds. The beta would get the LSI and 4.7 would get everything else. I previously tried to upgrade but my 3tb red balled regularly. At that time I had a Gigabyte MV8 combo. I'm thinking of giving 12a a try and connecting the 3tb as the parity to the M1015. This way I'd have just one unRaid vm. Before I do so I wanted to see what other X9SCM users are doing. My array is at 19tb. I'm changing things slowly as not to have any extended outage. Vmware is not yet installed. Thanks
  14. http://www.greenleaf-technology.com/ Check out their recommendations
  15. Sure looks and sounds like permissions. Security is handled differently between v4 and v5. I can see owner and group have rw but users don't have anything. Let's see the Dirk Gently contents after the chmod.
  16. Depending on the size if the array the permissions script could take some timer complete. Can you give us the output of a ls -ltr on a file. Also check share page. Make sure nothing is set to hidden. That could explain the flash drive.
  17. Yeah those x16 are video only. It's mentioned in the manual. I would look elsewhere for a MB. You can chance it if you want but there is no recourse if it doesn't work.
  18. DL nic should work. Not so sure those x16 slots will work with 2 hbas. Motherboard is listed as a xfire sli card. My experience with video slots tell me you'd probably get only one working. You might get lucky though. If your looking for a cheap MB I'd go with a recommendation from Greenleaf.
  19. Sounds like your nic is having issues with 4.7. I can't tell for sure without the syslog though. If the beta works good for you why not upgrade one of the licensed USB drives? If you decide to go this route take the time to do a complete backup of the USB drive.
  20. Weebo's script might help http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=18954.msg169505#msg169505
  21. IP address scheme may have changed when you switched routers. Set unRaid to DHCP and reboot. See if that fixes things.
  22. I've got an Xporter. I'm happy with the speed. It replaced a OCZ which I found slow. Odd since advertised specs were the same.
  23. Do you need 3tb drive support? Can you live or troubleshoot any beta issues that may or may not arise? Is you hardware compatible? If the answer is yes to all of the above go for it. I upgraded and ran issues. I had to go back but your experience could be different.
