    using just XBMC on Acer Revo Ion running OpenElec dist - it just works - no messing with it... Myk

    do you have your DNS servers defined in your network.cfg? can you ping a ip out on the net? like 8.8.8.8? (google's DNS server)..... if you can ping out on the net, then you have a DNS problem.... your router can be your default dns server or you can use googles at 8.8.8.8 Myk

    the -n parameter if I remember correctly will skip the pre/post read parts.... as long as you know your drive does not have any read/write errors..... Myk

    Rebuild just finished a bit ago and everything is happy and green. Thanks to all that offered my tips/instructions on how to get this this drive failure/rebuild - makes me warm and fuzzy inside knowing how unRAID saved a TON of my video library.... Thanks all! Myk

    Correct, my array is not started and that drive slot is still unassigned until the preclear finishes, then i will assign the new drive to the slot and start up the array, and it should start rebuilding the data. I dont plan on starting the array until the new drive is assigned... thanks Myk

    its a Hitachi_HDS5C3020ALA632_ML2220F32S5M4E replacing a seagate have removed the drive from the array and it of couse did not start as expected, so I am going to run preclear now - dont have a 2nd box to do it on ATM, but I have a Norco 20 bay case that everything is going to get moved to once the controller cards shows up later today. Then I will always keep a precleard spare ready. Thanks for the tips everyone.... and I just think if I was still using my dns-323 boxes, that i would have lost 1.5TB of data unRAID roks my world Myk

    ok, I got a 2TB sitting here, disk going bad is a 1.5TB, after I unassign, shutdown, replace it, should I preclear, or just assign and let unRaid do it, I dont have any extra sata ports atm to preclear when bad disk in the array... thanks Myk

    the MD5 in the current .conf is a mismatch..... I get 3874e7b4f05f2bb5eee6593ac238d6c5 for 2.1.7 also when I tried to install, the default install dir does not get created..... also does not give me the option to have it reinstalled on re-boot? also on the packages list after manually fixing the MD5 checksum in the .conf I am getting: MovieGrabber Installed, but version is different. Current version='2.1.5' expected '2.1.7' when I access the web interface of MG, it is saying it is 2.1.5..... Myk

    I would call your ISP tech support and tell them your devices are fighting with each other. My DSL modem/router has been put in bridge mode (only makes the DSL connection, nothing else), then my seperate wireless router does my pppoe login/firewall/dhcp etc..... Myk

    broke as well, and my flash just failed and cant get software to get my server back up. download.lime-technology.com is not resolving anyone have http://lime-technology.com/download/doc_download/30-unraid-server-version-50-beta14-aio they can post somewhere temp? Myk

    have your current host change your TTL on your DNS to 30-60 min, then when you switch, it wont take 24-48 hrs for dns to propogate..... this is what I do for my clients that ask... Myk

    I have tried searching the forums and wiki for the last 30 min but have not found what I am looking for - please forgive if this has been asked and I missed it.... In the user share setting, the box for min free space, how is the number supposed to be entered? 5G 5M 1TB or 1000000? My drives are completely filling up and want to keep a free space buffer....     any type of "flash" memory device - stick, card etc - sab will kill it perty quick - I found a old 320g IDE drive, and installed it as my cache since my MB had a single IDE port that was not used, that way I was still able to get 8 sata drives in the case etc.... Myk

    using your method, your movies will only be moved by couchpotato instead of sabnzbd. the mover script will not process your files, couchpotato will HAVE to move it. I use categories - each category has a separate destination folder /mnt/user/TV, mnt/user/BD Movies etc, this way when sabnzbd gets done, the file it moved instantly and not waiting for another program to process it sabnzbd will move them from /mnt/cache/.sabnzbd/Downloads/complete to whatever share you have setup your way is doing double processing......
