  1. Whatever you do, make sure you have the correct path for your /config. It will have a path in the /config line, but it isn't the right one if you are using cache drive. I'm trying to write a "how to" install Plex for Dummies like me lol. It's easy once you know what you are doing, but difficult if you not sure. My 1 year old son is playing with me so I can't finish the "how to."
  2. Well, I decided to give MC a try, and I was able to figure out how to delete everything using MC via Telnet. Now, it is time to set up Plex correctly. Thanks for everyone's help!

  4. I won't be able to tell you until I get home from work. I was supposed to be home 2 hours ago ?
  5. You can either use the command line, mc, or probably the easiest would be to install either the Krusader or Dolphin docker Is there another post that can guide me on how to use either of those? If you know how to telnet or use the console then mc is the easiest and quickest. Or we can probably tell you the exact commands to type at the command line. Can you telnet? If not, do you have a keyboard and monitor attached to your server? I can telnet via Putty.

  7. Yeah, I can't figure out how to delete the files from these folders. I've been trying via Win 7 PC, but it won't let me.
  8. I've tried to delete all the appdata folders, and they remain there. How do I removes shares? I've got two shares applications and appdata? May be if I remove both of those I'll be able to delete everything.
  9. Well, I haven't been able to do anything. My 1 year old again, took the parity drive out while the server was on. I'm hoping the drive isn't bad, but it says parity is invalid. So, it running parity right now. Thanks for the help guys, and I apologize for taking so long!
  10. Thanks. I'll do that as soon as my 1 yr old lets me lol. I found another issue to where when I use Plex out of network, the UnRaid server won't wake up / spin up the drive when. I have to spin up the drives from UnRaid GUI then it works.
  11. I rather start clean. That way everything is fresh and less likely to cause issues. I'm at work right now, and I won't be home until 3:30 AM PST. I followed the instructions from another post in the Plex Forum. On my last picture, you can see where I told Plex where the movies and tv shows were. Anyway, what do I need to do to start fresh? Delete all the Apodata folders and Plex folders?
  12. This is the email I received from Plex:
  13. As you can see in this picture disk 1 only has the Media folder!
  14. I previously was using UnRaid version 5.0.5, and a few days ago, I upgraded to version 6.0.1. I had Plex running in version 5, and I did not delete any information from the cache from this previous installation. I went ahead and installed Plex via Docker. Everything works with Plex. However, I noticed that drive / disk 8 now has two folders. One fold Media, and the second folder AppData. Why would disk 8 have Appdata folder, and all of my other disk only have the Media folder, which contains Movies and TV Shows folder? I looked at the date the appdata folder was created on disk 8, and it shows 7/1/2015. I thought if any folder would be generated by installing Plex, they would be in the cache drive only? Shouldn't all drives 1 through 8 have the same folder(s)? I've got some pictures of what I am trying to explain.
  15. Awesome. After 3 days of searching and reading all the different "how to's" on how to install Plex, this was the one that explained what I needed to know. Thanks for this thread, I was able to install Plex.
  16. Keep them, because these can be re-used in the new set up (will save you to redo all information collection) Thank you sir.
  17. I've got a quick question. I'm currently using Version 5.0.5, and I am using Plex Plugin + cache drive. I want to start completely fresh and re-do Plex after updating to UnRaid 6. My question is, what do I do with the Plex folders in the cache drive? Do I just delete these?
  18. Excellent deal. I wish I would of gone with this case.
  19. So, one of my data drives is bad. My current cache drive is a 2TB green drive, which I only use for Plex. I am going to buy a WD 500 GB blue drive and use it as cache. I'm also in the process of upgrading from UnRaid V5.05 to V6.0. My question is, do I just manually delete the Plex folder in my current cache drive prior to moving it to data? If I do this, when I re-install Plex via version 6.0 does it automatically use the cache drive?
  20. I just upgraded to V6.0 from V5.0.5 only to find out my drive #1 is failing. It is still under warranty, which is great since I am broke and I can't really afford to buy another drive till Friday (payday). Server is down for now. However, I did play with the GUI for a few minutes, and I really like it. Excellent job!
  21. " ..AZZA Helios 910 CSAZ-910 Mid-Tower.. " Woah - I loved this bad boy! Can't get it now! I don't really like this case due to the large side fan. I actually wanted to get MS800 Plus Computer Case, but it was out of stock a the time.
