    Moin Moin, vielleicht übersehe ich den Punkt einfach nur, aber ist es über die GUI möglich automatische Snapshots erstellen zu lassen? ZFS Master lässt es nur zu manuelle Snapshots zu erstellen. Und was für mich auch wichtig ist, ShaowCopy bzw. Vorgängerversion im SMB Share anzuzeigen. Die Snapshots werden mir hier leider nicht angezeigt, was sich z.B. in TrueNas mit einem Haken aktivieren lässt. Jetzt ist die Frage was müsste man in der SMB Config eintragen, damit dies funktioniert? Beste Grüße

    it was. im testing right now without it. (since 1 hour no more writes) But why should there be any random writes (no reads at all) if no VM and Docker is running? edit: @trurl still getting random writes, a lot less but still.

    another issue with zfs on my pool. every few seconds i have writes to the nvme zfs pool (mirror). No VM or Docker is running. No random writes to my zfs hdd on the array.

    how can i make SNapshots? Do i need one of the ZFS Plugins for that or is there already something in the Gui i dont see? Would be nice to see them on the explorer in Windows so i can rollback there. tried the ZFS Master Plugin now.. and i have a lot of Snapshots on System, but i didnt do that..

    One more Issue, Mover Task runs forever. All Hdd´s are already spun down again, but Mover Task runs still doing nothing. It is not moving system from the array to the pool, docker and vm is disabled in settings.

    got 2 new NVME SSD´s (2x 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus). created a pool configured it so it formats as zfs and so on, added the 2 drives, startet the array and formated the drives. ..But it does not format the drives after a few seconds the unraid site refreshes and the 2 ssd´s are still not formated. I can check the format field again and start formating but nothing happens.

    My drives spun down perfectly with RC2 (XFS and ZFS also), now with RC3 no drive spins down.

    @dellorianes do you mount the unraid Share on your Qnap with or without credentials? Because we cant mount with Credentials on the Oppo

    the Player requires ntlmv1. The Share is set Public, i but can access the share either way, Public and Private. Thats not the Issue. Something about the rights on the Files/Folder seems to be the issue

    I cant see any Files and Folders on my Oppo BR Player on my unRaid 6.11.0 NFS Share. because i cant add any Credentials on this Player i assume the rights for "other" is relevant, so i set them to rwx for testing. The Files are Showing up perfectly on my 6.9.2 unRaid Server. i had the same issue on my TrueNAS Server, i was able to open/connect the share but cant see anything in it. The Fix was to set the ACL for "everyone" to "read" (everyone wasnt in my ACL and i needet to set it as "inherit" Now i can see all files on that Server like on my 6.9.2 unRaid Server. The Issue shouldnt be nfsV4, that works fine from my TrueNAS Server, so it should be fine for unRaid aswell. So i think the issue is, there are missing right on the files and folders. The Screenshot is from the 6.11.0 Server it wouldnt as big of a deal if we wouldnt lose smbV1 Support with 6.11 the issue also exist on 6.10 as you can see here:

    i tested this with my truenas Server now and had the same issue. Permissions on the share set so everyone has read access. i also was able to connect to the share but couldnt see any files/folders. After editing the ACL for the files/folders (not the share itself, because i can connect to the share) so Everyone has read access (inherit) i was able to see all files. So the issue must be the rights on the files/folders.. but i only have basic ACL settings in unraid, and that is working for smb but seems to have no effect on nfs: edit: will open bug report for 6.11/6.10, because it works on older Version 6.9.2 NFS Version V4 isnt the Issue, the Oppo also works with my TrueNAS Server that is using V4

    @JonathanM i´m in the same boat, my Oppo cant see files in the nfs Share. tried today with 6.11 RC5

    Sorry für die späte Antwort, ich teste die Tage es nochmal mit "virtio" ohne net im Namen. Muss ja eigentlich funktionieren.

    ich habe es mit neuen Dateien getestet, jedesmal andere. Hab genügend TB die rüber müssen auf die Maschine aber so erstmal fürs testen herhalten können. Ein SSD Cache möchte ich nicht nutzen, da der bei mir ziemlich schnell "durchgelutscht" ist. Außer ich kaufe mir ne Sun F80 mit 22.000TBW statt Beispielweise Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB mit 600TBW..(Meine Passtrough NVME für die Windows VM) Wenn ich das nicht zum laufen bekomme, kommt mir nur noch 116GB Ram an die Windows VM, 100GB davon als Ramdisk fürs Rippen und dann mit imgburn direkt auf die Platten oder so. Der Ram soll einfach sinnvoll genutzt werden, und wenn ich ihn so wie jetzt out of the box nicht viel tut.. muss ne Lösung ran, egal wie rum.

    @mgutt Die SSD wird komplett durchgereicht. also kein Virtio Ich nutze Virtio meine ich mich zu erinnern (Ich ändere es von der Standardauswahl nicht), kann es aber gerade nicht prüfen, da ich auf Arbeit bin. Das Board hat auch noch ein 2. NIC den ich durchreichen kann, dann noch ne Bridge und gut. Falls damit auch was ausgeschlossen werden kann. @MAM59 hier sieht man wie direkt übertragene Daten im Ram bleiben und zügig somit gelesen werden können (von Minute 7:00 bis 8:30) dies kann ich nicht reproduzieren wie im Video.

    @mgutt Yes, läuft mit virtio und über SMB. Da ich es mit meinem Notebook etc nicht teste brauche (1Gig Netzwerk.. da sind die Platten schneller)

    Mein Schreibcache funktioniert ja auch nicht WindowsVM gestartet mit NVME SSD, Rip auf diese SSD (BDMV) und dann mit imgburn zur ISO gemacht und 50-100GB Iso auf die HDD kopieren. Schreibcache habe ich schon erhöht, trotzdem schreibe ich nur mit maximal was die HDD hergibt (200+-). Schreibcache des Ram?! Fehlanzeige, ich hab die Zeit wielanfge es drin bleiben usw. auch schon erhöht. Schreibcache Größe auf 90% erhöht. Ergebnis.. Nada..

    Ich verstehe was du meinst @MAM59, aber ich habe es schon in anderen Systemen funktionieren gesehen und bei unRaid eben garnicht, und das wundert mich. (auch mit sagen wir mal LinuxXY Distro Iso mit 2-3gig, da kommt alles direkt von der Platte in unRaid Und wenn ich das optimieren kann, dann will ich dies auch

    ich hab einfach mal eine 50GB Iso Film Iso und paar Betriebssyswtem Isos auf den Serfver via SMB kopiert. keine dieser Dateien (das waren die einzigen zu dem Zeitpunkt) war im Lesecache, da instand HDD Aktivität beim Lesen zu sehen war. Davon ab lief nichts auf dem Server, der ist praktisch noch Blank. Der Schreibcache sollte ja Standard 80% des Freien Rams sein, also 1% Standf auf belegt von den 128GB laut Gui, da sollte zumindest Irgendwas im Lesecache liegen. (80% von runden wir mal runter auf 100GB..)

    Wäre schön wenn mein Ram vom System automatisch verwaltet wird, aber wie gesagt merke ich nichts davon. Mal vom der Anzeige in der Web Gui abgesehen. ich kopiere Daten auf das System, die müssten dann theoretisch auch im Lesecache drin sein. sind sie aber nicht, das merkt man am Zugriff auf die Platten.

    Ja 60Watt. (mein i5 10400 System verbraucht im Vergleich 40Watt) ich habe meine Daten vom Backupserver auf diesen unRaid Server gezogen. nur füllt sich der Ram nicht. 20 oder 30% Schreibcache ist ja das eine, aber 80% des freien Ram müssten als Lesecache genutzt werden. Vorhin erst hier im Forum gelesen, wenn der Schreibcache auf die Platte geschrieben wurde, bleiben die Daten als Lesecache im Ram. bei zig Terrabyte an Daten sehe ich nichts im Lesecache. edit: gefunden von @mgutt Ich möchte den Cache einfach sinnvoll nutzen, Lese/Schreibcache, wie es Truenas auch macht als Beispiel.
