July 5, 201214 yr Now everything is in place it seems to be working fine - but not done a reboot yet ... My cache drive does not seem to be spinning down and i read at some earlier part of this thred that this is to do with the logging that happens keep accessing the disk and so stopping the spin down. All of my install and data directories are on my cache drive - how and what do i change to allow the disk to spin down (there are no ther apps than these running and all my array disks work fine Thanks
July 5, 201214 yr Not sure how well it would work with the install directory on disk, never put it there and I have no clue how often any of the apps call their files. The main culprit seems to be couchpotato, it writes to log more often than the other apps, you can change its logging directory to be on the ramdisk, but since the install is on the disk as well that working would depend on if the file couchpotato is using is already in ram or not. You can change the logging directory in app, but before you change it you need to telnet in and create the directory and chown & chmod it so cp has access. I had my logs going to /var/log/cp/. You can do this by: mkdir /var/log/cp/ chown /var/log/cp/ chmod 777 /var/log/cp/ Sent from my HTC Vivid
July 5, 201214 yr So would it be easier and more "standard" to have install in memory and data on the cache drive so it is maintained after a reboot? - quite happy to change it to that if its seen as better by you ?
July 5, 201214 yr So would it be easier and more "standard" to have install in memory and data on the cache drive so it is maintained after a reboot? - quite happy to change it to that if its seen as better by you ? Would probably work better as far as allowing the disk to spin down. Only issue doing it that way is if a link is down in the plug-in, or the installer is down, it will fail to install, something on the to do list to fix. Note, URL's are rarely down, only happened once or twice. And as soon as its noticed I usually have a fix up the same day for it. Skank, not sure what you mean? You want to see how long sab has been running on unraid? If so, there isn't a reading on the gui anywhere, but you can find it yourself manually: ps aux | grep sab [code] It will tell you the day it started and what time. Could add this to the gui at some point though
July 5, 201214 yr If you are a user that has requested me to continue maintaining these plug-ins, please use my versions located in my sig, and post any questions or requests in the new thread, located HERE I will not provide support for other versions of this plug-in from here on out. Have a good day,
July 5, 201214 yr No i want to set the time Sab will download, and i want to know which time he is using and where i can see that
July 5, 201214 yr You can set the time sab downloads from the sabnzbd gui, Config > Scheduling. Sab uses the time that unraid uses, you can view that from the unraid gui: Settings > Date And Time
July 5, 201214 yr You can set the time sab downloads from the sabnzbd gui, Config > Scheduling. Sab uses the time that unraid uses, you can view that from the unraid gui: Settings > Date And Time thanks! So if i want sab only to download between 24h and 7h in the morning i add 2 actions? one for daily at 24h ; action=continuing? and one for daily at 7ham, action=everything paused? edit: just found it in the help file

July 6, 201214 yr I'm getting this when I'm trying to run the installplg sickbeard_unplugged.plg command Which version are you using? The new Influencer ones or the orig gethub?
July 6, 201214 yr That is from my repo, its sickbeard_unplugged.plg. You downloaded the file wrong, either scroll down in the readme on the repo page and right click & save link as or click on the file name and then right click on "RAW" and save link as. Please keep support questions in the Influencer Plugins thread please!
July 18, 201213 yr I'm getting this error in sickbeard: 2012-03-11 11:42:24.084809 MAIN :: !!! Creating local cache dir failed, using system default It cant seem to be able to create the cache directory under /mnt/cache/.custom/sickbeard However, if I delete the log folder, it's able to re-create it. Check the permissions of the .custom and sickbeard directories, make sure the user is set as nobody:users, and make sure sickbeard is running as nobody(which it should by default) I determined the issue. cache_dir in the config.ini was set to a full path but with a typo. This path was from a long time ago when i was using /mnt/cache/.apps for my addons instead of .custom so i have no idea where that came from. I modified it to just "cache", but when I rebooted sickbed it was overwritten to the wrong full path. I fully shutdown SB, disabled it in the plug in, modified the config.ini and re-enabled and this fixed the issue.
July 28, 201213 yr I'm suddenly having two problems with the SABnzbd plugin. First, when I boot, startup of SABnzbd hangs. This causes unRAID to hang on the "Starting Array..." message in the main control panel. If I kill the SABnzbd process, the boot completes normally. I tried running installplg again, but that didn't seem to resolve the issue. If I disable the plugin, kill the SABnzbd process, and then re-enable it, the webgui hangs since SABnzbd never starts. I tried looking in the syslog but there's nothing there, and /var/log/plugins/sabnzbd is empty. If I run the command from the command line, I get the response: root@Hyperion:/var/log/plugins# sudo -u nobody python /usr/local/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.py -d -s 0.0.0.0:8081 --config-file /mnt/disk/downloads/plugins/sabnzbd --pid /var/run/sabnzbd python: can't open file '/usr/local/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory And sure enough, that directory is empty. Any idea why those files aren't being copied over? The Sickbeard and Couchpotato plugins are working fine, and their files are in the relevant subdirectories. If I copy over the SABnzbd source and then enable the plugin, it works fine. Maybe it's not able to get the latest version from Sourceforge when it boots? Also, The SAB plugin is producing an error when installing. It looks like it's trying to pull from: http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/sabnzbd/sabnzbd.png Which produces a 404 error. I just deleted those lines and copied a backup of that file into the plugin directory, but anyone installing fresh is going to have their install fail because of it.
July 28, 201213 yr I also got caught up by this problem. Starting the array sends the disks_mounted "event" which starts sabnzbd. This will first try to install sabnzbd, and that install will fail because a sourceforge-path has been changed. The script /etc/rc.d/rc.sabnzbd will try to download the latest stable from: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/sabnzbdplus/sabnzbdplus/sabnzbd-${stable}/SABnzbd-${stable}-src.tar.gz¨ but the file now resides at: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/sabnzbdplus/sabnzbdplus/${stable}/SABnzbd-${stable}-src.tar.gz As the install fails, the startup-script goes into an endless loop: while [ ! -e /var/run/sabnzbd/sabnzbd-$PORT.pid ]; do sleep 1 done This package needs to be updated to: 1. Use the correct path when downloading 2. Fail when the application cannot be started (remove endless loop and replace it with some kind of counter?) /P4fg
July 28, 201213 yr Please, if you have not visited the thread recently, read atleast the past few pages. Bennichan is no longer maintaining these, updated and working versions can be found in my Sig. User WW also has versions available but I'm not sure if they are being maintained either.
July 28, 201213 yr Thanks, back up and running using your plugins. I went three to four pages back, and saw no mention of this version being unsupported. We should get this thread locked or redirected to yours or something. Since your thread doesn't have the program names in the title, I'm sure it's getting overlooked by other people besides me.
July 29, 201213 yr I feel there are too many to put into the title but ill give it a shot. The post explaining the move should be on the previous page, on tapatalk its on page 58, this page is 59 so it can't be more than 10-15 posts back. Anyway, no big deal, glad we got it sorted

Anyway, no big deal, glad we got it sorted Looks like the announcement of your alternative plugins is 6 pages back (about 70 posts) for anyone using the standard web interface to the forums. For those curious, look on page 72 (current page is 78 in the default layout). I agree, there's a lot of apps there to list them all in the title. I do think they may get overlooked without that, though. I bet all you'd have to mention is SABnzbd, though, and people would find the rest when they clicked.

August 2, 201213 yr Please guys, I need some help. Everytime I shutdown my array, like I did today to add a disk, I cant get it started again properly. Really would like someone to help me work through sorting this out and getting my unraid set up working correctly. PLEASE OK, so I am running; unRaid v5 beta 13 simplefeatures plugin (speeding ant) SAB, sickbeard and couch potato plugin for v5 beta (benni chans) iStat server plugin PROBLEM When restarting the array it does not start automatically, I have to start it manually then the web gui hangs and Sab SB and CP dont start. I had this problem before and I remember I had issues with the sudoers file in the /etc directory, I had to change the ownership from root to nobody (see earlier in this thread [page 18-20 ish]) and then had to kill a process to unfreeze the web gui. I now have added the chown command to my go file in the hope it would resolve the issue but sadly not. I got my array started but I cant start the holy trinity. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can one of you unRaid geniuses take a look at the attached log file and tell me what is wrong. Let me know if you need any further settings or logs thanks unraid_server_log_02082012.txt
August 2, 201213 yr Update the plugins to those found in my Sig, benni Chan's will no longer work. You may also get support in my thread for these
August 3, 201213 yr Do these work with simple features and display on the unraid menu like Benni's? Have you got any screen shots?
August 3, 201213 yr They are basically the same, i took over maintaining the plugins. I don't have screenshots as I am on my phone.
