SABnzbd+ SickBeard CouchPotato Plugin/Installer for v5b11+

Featured Replies

I am having endless problem with unraid + sab +sickbeard

- Array failing to start after reboot

- If it does come up in can take 30 - 40 minutes

- Updating sick beard results all the plugins to stop working (was i not suppose to do it??)

are those normal issues?

I am considering moving to open media vault.

i downloaded the modded version hardcoded for sabnzbd 7.0 and it will not load correct for me.  The array never starts. The old version was working good until i rebooted server and i noticed it trying to installed version 6.15.

This new version didn't work for me... the unraid interface never comes up unless I kill the sabnzbd process and if I disable the plugin, reboot and attempt to start sabnzbd from the settings menu it just hangs on "starting sabnzbd : sudo -u root etc etc".

I wonder if it would be possible to make it look for the file in the plugins directory first and if it is there then use that, if not then go find the sourceforge one. That way if sourceforge is playing sillybuggers we could just drop a good version in the plugins folder as a stop gap?

That is possible. I'll see what I can do.

And for those that it doesn't work, can you run this from telnet and post the output:

/etc/rc.d/rc.sabnzbd install

And Bar1, can you give details about your setup? What your install dir & data dir is for each plugin, cache or no.

The problem with letting it go through the redirect on SourceForge is mileage may vary. In testing sometimes it went through quickly with no delay, other times it waited for a response for quite a while.

I should mentioned, when starting the plugin, the web GUI does hang and claims it never started, but I can still access it when I go to the port. It's running just fine as well. It downloaded and processed a few shows this morning.

I might have missed something, its not finding the pid causing it to hang.

mmm, v.odd... getting "cp: target '/usr/local/sabnzbd' is not a directory?!

That's an easy fix, I might of removed one line too many last night. New version up shortly.

Under settings/sabnzbd, the status shows NOT INSTALLED.  I flipped the bit to enable sabnzbd and set the install and data directories to /mnt/user/plugin_data/sabnzbd.

The port is 8081.

run as user nobody.

I rebooted and the main webpage is not coming up.

I should also state that this is a new install and the only other plugins I installed were the simplefeatures and sickbeard.

# SABnzbd configuration:

Grab the sabnzbd I just posted one post before you, right now sourceforge is acting weird so the plug-in is/was broke. I've modified an older version with a hardcoded link until a proper fix is put in place

Roger that.  Do I need to remove the other one first or just install over top of it?

Edit:

I installed over the top of it, telnetted in to the box and then typed reboot.  Still the same result.  I am going to uninstall it and then re-install with your newest version and will post my results after.

Excuse my noobness, but can I just install this over the last one without rebooting the server? If so, what commands?

I'm guessing I can just stop SAB and use installplg to take care of it.

**Edit**

Installed overtop as well. Same case, hangs at

Starting sabnzbd: sudo -u nobody python /usr/local/sabnzbd/SABnzbd.py -d -s 0.0.0.0:8081 --config-file /mnt/user/Apps/SABnzbd --pid /var/run/sabnzbd > /dev/null 2>&1

But still actually starts. Good enough for me, really.

If sab is currently running, you don't even need to stop it.

Just run

installplg /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd_hardcoded.plg

If sab is currently running, you don't even need to stop it.

Just run

installplg /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd_hardcoded.plg

Good to know I don't even need to stop the process. I like that. Haha. See above for results.

Run

/etc/rc.d/rc.sabnzbd install

Again and post results, I just rebooted and didn't have an issue.

Mine is running now.  I had to remove the original and then install the latest one you posted.  I configured it and rebooted and it looks to be stable for now.

Now I am going to install couchpotato and that should be it.  I just have to migrate data from my old server to this and then reschedule some shows, etc.  <crosses fingers>

Reloaded the plugin in the web interface, still hanging at

Web GUI still states it's not running, but I can access it no problem. Perhaps later I'll try a server reboot.

Mine's working fine, thanks v.much!

BTW, totally support you forking this code, it's great to have friendly support for a v.nice plugin :)

Hmm, might be one if the pages not refreshing on install, so a reboot does seem to be necessary. Sorry for the bad info!

I am still new to unraid so hopefully someone can help me, In Sabnzbd I want to set my data directories to be located on  my array, I can easily place them in /mnt/disk1/somedirectory but if that drive fills up I will be SOL. How can I set the data directories to be on one of my shares?

Thanks in advance

Edit.... Ok..I think I figured things out. I noticed that if I create a directory on disk1 it automatically becomes a share, thus even though I specified disk1 the data wwritten to that directory will still get spread out amongst my other drives if needed..

...we could just drop a good version in the plugins folder as a stop gap?

Perhaps with an option for the plugin to do this for us "Copy latest version to data folder?" Y/N
