Featured Replies

No, sadly github doesn't let me do that. I did try but the functionality isn't there.

I have no idea why that process does not work anymore ? thanks for posting your version, works perfect - i even added a season of a program to it so we must be getting somewhere ... will try taking of the folder extension being visible and see if that makes any difference, dont see why it should but it is a change since the last downloads, i can always turn it on and off if needed

Still cannot get into couchpotato as i am getting a pop up "A user name and password are being requested by http://backupsvr:8082. The site says: "CouchPotato Login"" no idea why as never even been in there to set one up. Tried my windows account, a user account, root and password ..... nothing seems to work

Will get a key and make it so i have a cache drive, then reintall everything from scratch (do i need to do more than just delete all the entries off my flash drive and start over?) do i only need to put the download etc file locations on the cache drive, everything or something inbetween. Still trying to get my head around which prog is doing what and how to get them to be aware of each other - unless this is already in the config setup. I see things like api keys, do i need to think or worry about these? Seems sick is for TV shows, where would i go to try to get a movie ....

Sickbeard should be listening on 8081 (sab 8081, couch 8082, sick 8083 if thats right)

Is it necessary to stop each of these from running before i do a reboot when i get licence key, is that why server seemed to hang last time? and if i leave plg's in the flash will they just work on reboot? OK so i stopped each service in simple features so all said "stopped" and the server got as far as syncing when i tried to shutdown and just hangs. Issued a "shutdown now" in putty and still its hung - is there something i should know or do to prevent this

Reason for deleting above is i did a hard restart due to the hanging issue and of course all of my config has gone because it was all in ram so i need to set up everything again from scratch .... good learning experience !! so will wait now for licence key, set up a cache drive and put neverything on there 1. does a cach drive in unraid still spin down? 2. does the config go there by default or do i have to set specific items to go there so it will restart and retain everthing i have set? 3. is there a model folder structure it would be good to follow?

I really appreciate all of the help so far - you are patient ! and in the background i am trying to read, learn and understand as fast as i can  :-\

Influencer,

I am loving your plugins but I am having an issue with your Plex one. I am pretty sure it worked before I hosed my server this afternoon trying to upgrade unraid but now when I try to run it I get

./Plex Media Server: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

that library is there at least I think so. Every other plugin works fine. Ive tried to search but after fighting with this thing for 4 hours im fairly beaten.

use midnight commander to look in /usr/lib

cd /usr/lib/
mc

See if you can find it there, looked on my system(using the latest plug-in) and its there for me

its listed in red with a ! in front. I have no idea what that means.

It means its a broken sym link....

Try running

/etc/rc.d/rc.plex install

and see what it tells you..I'm interested if its erroring out at some point

root@Tower:/usr/lib# /etc/rc.d/rc.plex install

/usr/local/plex/Plex Media Server: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

/etc/rc.d/rc.plex: line 172: [: !=: unary operator expected

same error and when I run that install command I get the error but not the line 172 error.

Only thing I can think of right now is to remove the plex directory and try installing the plug-in again...It seems something got messed up and now that the directory is there the plug-in won't try to re-install

deleted the folder and the plg, rebooted the server installed the plg and still get the same error.

Very odd, ill look at the package tomorrow and see if something's changed... WW & spidi did the work for that plugin so I'm not as familiar, but I'll definetly take a look at it asap!

Also, will you run this command...

ls -ld /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6

and I just did another reboot and now its stuck at trying to start the array giving me the same error as the plex plugin while trying to start SAB and Sickbeard. The log just repeats the error over and over

Hello everyone, this is my first post here :-)

After having SABnzbd+ SickBeard running on 1 PC and Unraid on another, i decided to set up SABnzbd+ SickBeard on the unraid machine.

After struggling a bit i managed to get it working, and i added a cache drive to my unraid array.

I now have the following problems:

- I tested 2 downloads on SABnzbd and they both gave me an "repair failed, not enough repair blocks (X short) "

Testing THE SAME nzb files on the previous machine work fine

- Sickbeard is extremely slow, i chose the show "true blood " as an example and after 30 minutes it only listed (not downloaded) 24 episodes

Please advise...Bar1

Where are your install and data directories? And please give your system specs

Sent from my HTC Vivid

SABnzbd:

Install directory:    /usr/local/sabnzbd

Data directory: /mnt/cache/.sabnzbd

Sickbeard:

Install directory:    /usr/local/sickbeard

Data directory: /mnt/cache/./sickbeard

Hp proliant microserver n36l with 2GB of RAM.

Cache drive is connected via Esata, i will connect it internally later and see if it makes a difference.

Sickbeard can be very slow the first time you set it up. It does a lot of work in the background downloading information and creating it's database. With a lower end processor, this can make it slow to respond. Give it some time and check on it a couple hours after the install.

Hello,

If sickbeard is unable to shutdown when using the GUI is there a method of shutting it down?

      Would killing the process work?

Doing a quick test on a small file.

4 articles were missing

Size 3 MB

Status Failed

PC:

Size 4 MB

Status Completed

Very strange....same NZB same news server, one sees it as 3MB with 4 bad articles and second as 4MB with NO bad articles.

Will run a memtest the minute i get home :-)

I'm trying to install Sickbeard and Couchpotato using a cache-only share.  This method has worked for Sabnzbd, but when I try to start wither Sick/Couch, it just hangs...

The console screen shows (for Couchpotato):

fatal: HTTP request failed

cp: cannot stat '/tmp/CouchPotatoServer/*':no such file or directory

python: can't open file '/usr/local/counchpotato_v2/CouchPotto.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

while theWebGUI screen is stuck at:

Starting CouchPotato with parameters: sudo -u nobody python /usr/local/couchpotato_v2/CouchPotato.py --daemon --config_file /boot/config/plugins/couchpotato_v2/settings.conf --pid_file /var/run/couchpotato_v2/couchpotato_v2.pid

I checked /usr/local/... and the couchpotato and sickbeard directories are empty, but hte Sabnzbd one is populated.  Any ideas on how to get these other 2 plugins installed?

paulitix, run these commands from telnet and post the results:

/etc/rc.d/rc.sickbeard install
/etc/rc.d/rc.couchpotato_v2 install

Bar1:

It could be the processor holding you back, but I'm pretty sure other users have a similar setup and it works fine....

Try pinging google or another website and see if you are getting any packets lost or any errors.

Also, if you are using a generic server address, try pointing to a specific server...for astraweb you can choose news.astraweb.com(which will connect to either us or eu, or you can choose us.astraweb.com(not sure if that address is right but you get my point), it may be a specific server having an issue, and the other pc just happens to connect to the other server. Unlikely, but possible

Sab is a very cpu intensive program, and (of course) makes heavy use of ram, so being low on either could cause issues. Esata shouldn't make a difference, but if the controller is going bad, it could cause problems as well.

Keep us updated, will try to help more!

That worked.  Thanks!  This thing has been torturing me for the last few days.

Interesting.... Something stopped the plugins from fully executing on boot...

Note that you will most likely have the same problem if you reboot, your config will be fine but the apps won't install.

If you have access to the console(monitor connected to server) try to see what it says when booting, it will likely tell you the error there. Might need a camera to grab a screenshot.

Things i tested:

- Mem test for 2 hours did not come up with any errors

- Connected the drive internally

- ping www.google.com, no dropped frames

- Download a file using wget, gives me full speed
