Is there somewhere where i can grab the files of the internet, as that folder seems to be empty!

UPDATE:

Found the files they were where you said...however when i used the "cp" function it decided not to move the content....strange!

Weird, well as long as it works. You also have to adjust the Scripts-path in Sabnzbd to make this configuration work.

I just dropped the new scripts in exactly the same as they were before i upgrade, so no changes needed to be made to sab, which was nice. I just moved the files, and hey presto it now works again like a charm! Thank you for your help

Cool glad I could be of help.

I tried installing the beta version, but it didn't seem to work.  so, I downloaded and installed the latest version from GIT, which said it was 18 hours old, but the change log doesn't seem to be updated, so I'm not sure what's been updated, if anything.

2012-05-24 0.7.4-influenced - Added message indicating whether data directory will survive a reboot or will be lost
2012-05-25-ww - added some formatting in web layout
2012-05-29-ww			    - little fixes

Anyway, the newest version says that there is no beta available, but will install the latest stable, which seems to have worked.

However, the messaging is a bit confusing.  I'm fine with it, but in the interest of making the plugin in better, this might need to be 'fixed'. :)

Status: RUNNING with version: 0.7.0

SABnzbd storage memory usage: install directory: 9.8M, data directory: 33G

Your data will persist after a reboot

Update available to version: 0.7.0

We need to take the changelog out, since all changes are tracked on github with every commit, we have stopped adding to the changelog in the plug-in itself. Only reason we haven't is the history still in the changelog is mainly stuff that was changed before we went to github.

Yes, what your seeing is a small bug introduced by fixing other functionality...

If InstallBeta is set to enable, and there is no current beta, previously it would fail as it wouldn't find a beta to install. I fixed it to (as you noticed) if there is not a beta, it will default to installing the stable version. This is nice because 1. You do not have to change your settings to "Installbeta - disable" when there is not a beta, and 2. When another beta is released, the plug-in will still be looking for it and will notify you.

The casualty of this fix is exactly what you see, when it defaults to installing the stable, it still looks and "finds" an update....to the stable version you have installed.

I'm looking at this to see if I can track down where the logic fails, :)

Can i bump post #844 as i can make no progress on trying to get this functionality installed

Thanks :P

@hilly, try this file. Unzip it and move it to your plugins folder.

sabnzbd_mod.zip

As soon as I get to my laptop I'll look at your posts hilly.

I do know what your issue is, just going to go back over the posts in case I misses something.

Sent from my HTC Vivid

Hilly, can you please list what other packages, plugins and add-ons your running?

Reason I ask, I've gone back and downloaded one of the plug-ins you attached to your post, removed the .txt, and used a command copied directly from your post, and it installs perfectly...

You are running the same version I was, and I never had a xml parse issue, so I know its not the version of unraid causing an issue, and everything else works for me....

You should be able to post the output of these commands:

ls -l /boot/extra
ls -l /boot/config/plugins
ls -l /boot/packages/

That should be a pretty complete list of any extra's you have installed

He is getting an xml parse error. He may just not be getting the plg files downloaded properly. I attached one in a zip file above to make it easier for him to try.

Earlier in the thread I had him post copies of the plug-ins he was trying to install, so I could check them to ensure they were being downloaded properly. They looked fine.

I just now downloaded the plug-in from his post again and installed it to my server, and it installs fine.

He also c/p a section from his telnet session where he tried to install all three plug-ins, each one giving him a xml parse error. I copied the command from his post to ensure my eyes weren't just missing a mistyped command, and using a plug-in from HIS pc, and the exact command HE used...it still installed fine. That is what leads me to think it is something extra on his system causing the issue

Yeah I see you modified your post above. that would've been my first guess after reading the last post he wanted to bump. But after your tests I'm not sure what is going on.

:), dangers of modifying posts,  :o

Firstly, thanks for the responses and help. Much appreciated

In your post influencer you said "I've gone back and downloaded one of the plug-ins you attached to your post, removed the .txt" when i look at the downloads etc i only see an extension of .plg and no .txt - they do show up as text documents and open with notepad. I even did a properties on the file and it showed no ,txt extension but did show it was a notepad document - i am not missing something stupid here am i but i do not see any .txt extension

OK now for the add ons etc you asked me to post

Hmmmm that seems a lot as i have been playing and learning ..... but all of these seem to be working just fine

Thanks again

In your post they have txt extension so they can attach. That's what I was talking about.

Have you removed the plugins? Didn't see then in the output of ls -l /boot/config/plugins.

I asked for the list if add-ons so I could check the addons to see if any installed something that would interfere with simple_xml ( what installplg uses to parse the plg)

Yes i have removed them from the flash drive as i did a rebott to try to refresh everything and did not want them to cause any issues while i did not know what i was looking for.

As for the extension if i look in explorer i see only .plg and in the doc type column i see text document. I tried renaming so i was sure it was .plg and now just tried to attach to a mail and it shows as .plg.txt again - does the .txt get added to attach it to a mail etc as i simply cannot see this extension part in explorer ??

Are you looking at the files in Windows with the option to hide extensions for know filetypes on? If so turn that off as shown below.

Just installed couchpotato_v2_mod.plg from within /boot/config/plugins via installplg couchpotato_v2_mod.plg via telnet.

All seemed to go OK, went to the Settings page, changed my path, clicked Apply, and the message in the attached screen shot remains.

If I go to the console, I'm presented with an error stating:

Run_cmd: /etc/rc.d/rc.couchpotato_v2 enable nobody 8088 /mnt/cache/couchpotato /mnt/cache/couchpotato

  CouchPotato.py [options]

Couchpotato.py: error:  no such option: --daemon

I can't seem to find anything about this via google.....any guidance?

Everything worked fine with Sab, sick couch from the w-w influencer repos, but i did a restart today and suddenly snap cannot mount my apps drive even though it is supposed to install before the other plugins. emhttp doesn't boot etc, I only have access via telnet and tried to fix the prob but it is not working. If I disable sab, sick couch PLGs it works fine and the snap.plg installs and mounts my apps drive, but if the other 3 plugins are enabled nothing works. Any idea why that is?

p1lot, not sure...It definitely sounds like the problem is the plug-ins are starting before snap does... I personally haven't used snap so not sure where to start with this...

Can you attach your go file? As well as a syslog

hilly, for a test, add the plug-ins back, and run

installplg /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd_mod.plg.txt

If that works, it has the .txt extension and that needs to be removed.

Also, disabling the option as kricker posted above will show you the same thing, I believe that we are on the track to success finally, :)

go-file:

#!/bin/bash

# Start the Management Utility

/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &

/boot/config/plugins/snap/snap.sh -b

/usr/local/sbin/cache_dirs -w -B -m 1 -M 10 -d 5 -e apps

unraid_notify start

syslog: Snap installs before Sabnzbd, I really don't know why it is not working any more. It all happened today when I isntalled your new Sab-version with the SSL-fix, but even if I disable sab now, the other 2 plugins won't come up.

Thanks for the hint, but I Have some Linux experience, so file extensions are all fine.

Once I enable one of the three plugins, the server doesn't start properly (no emhttp, no plugins) -> So no webinterface, just telnet.

The extension part was for hilly, a user with a seperate problem, :)
