same error?

How are you getting the file? My bet is you are not getting correctly. I saw the same error when I didn't download it right. What I do is click on the file to view it, then right click on the RAW button and choose save.

Status: RUNNING with version: 0.7.0

SABnzbd storage memory usage: install directory: 9.3M, data directory: 9.5G

Your data will persist after a reboot

Its easy to miss one letter, I'm just use to the troubleshooting now I catch it,  ;)

Thank you! This is the issue.

Change the port to something above 1024, those ports MUST be used by a root user, or app running as root, which will cause nothing but permission headaches for you down the road.

Thats why running as root starts fine, when running as nobody, sab will start, and unraid(slackware, linux, any *nix system) will shut it down unless its ran as root because they are reserved for system use/root users.

Glad its sorted :)

Hello,

I seem to have run into an issue when installing SAB from scratch. I installed the plg file, and it seem to have run correctly as it produced the following output:

However when i go to the following DIR there is nothing:

/usr/local/sabnzbd/

However i installed the other plugins, Sick & Couch and they have the correct files in the following DIR's

/usr/local/sickbeard/
/usr/local/couchpotato/

Why is the addon no creating the files in the correct directory?

It won't install anything until you go to the setting page and enable it

Sent from my HTC Vivid

First thing i am running:

Sab: sabnzbd-0.4c-i468-bw.plg

Sick: sickbeard-0.4a-i468-1bw.plg

Couch: couchpotato-0.5-i468-bw.plg

Should i try and install the *_mod.plg version that is in your sig?

In addition, i have tried to enable to the plugin from the GUI, and i it not doing anything,  no files created and it has been triggered around 10-15 mins ago? Should i try the new versions?

Yes the ones you are using are outdated, particularly the Sab plugin. The url has changed so it won't work. You can get the nee versions from the link in my sig

If anyone has issues or have reported bugs, and haven't noticed me tending to it yet, please do not hesitate to post reminding me, I'm trying to go back through the thread to make sure I don't forget any, but with supporting all of the plug-ins, I do lose track, :)

after a reboot like the previous poster, I was able to get sabnzbd up again with the update plugin.  however, my sickbeard is no longer starting.  i looked at the syslog and it shows that the sickbeard plugin successfully installed

/var/run/sickbeard# ls
sickbeard.pid
root@:/var/run/sickbeard# cat sickbeard.pid
pid
root@:/var/run/sickbeard# /etc/rc.d/rc.sickbeard start
root@:/var/run/sickbeard#

thanks!

Any update with your issue?

Also, if anyone comes across an issue or bug, if you open an issue on github as well as post here, that would help me.

If you post the issue on github, I can easily see what problems I need to work on, and posting on here allows me to discuss the problem with you(I know I can do the same on github, but more users frequent the threads here than github, that part is purely to benefit me)

Hi - I notice that when trying to add a movie that Couchpotato v2 has found it just hangs and doesnt add it when I refresh the webpage.

I'm using Safari 5.1.6.

Have you come across this so far?

Thanks,

Alex.

I lost track of what the best plg for using sabnzbd stable is at the moment?

@ Influencer: Can you PLG install 0.7 stable?

Sorry, been away all weekend

Now back to the problem. Yes you were right i had done the wrong file name for the purpose of sending you the info which was a bit stupid !! but i had got it right the first several times i tried it. Now i am home i downloaded again all the plugins from the site, added those to my flash drive in the config/plugins folder and then in putty did the following commands, as you see i get the same error every time. There is no entry in my syslog to say any of this has just happened so it is not making any impact on the system that can be gleaned from there

root@Backupsvr:~# installplg /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd_mod.plg

installing plugin: sabnzbd_mod

xml parse error

root@Backupsvr:~# installplg /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd_mod.plg

installing plugin: sabnzbd_mod

xml parse error

root@Backupsvr:~# installplg /boot/config/plugins/couchpotato_v2_mod.plg

installing plugin: couchpotato_v2_mod

xml parse error

root@Backupsvr:~# installplg /boot/config/plugins/sickbeard_mod.plg

installing plugin: sickbeard_mod

xml parse error

root@Backupsvr:~#

Thanks for being patient, as a new person to all of this its not easy to know where to start .....

The one you linked to is older. The efforts of multiple plg authors have been combined and moved to a central location. The link in his sig will take you to the current and same location as linked to above.

Thanks kricker!

Since updating SAB, Sick & Couch, i have noticed an issue between Sab and Sick. The post processing worked a treat, as soon as a show would finish it would trigger the "SabToSickBeard.py" script and it would run all the postprocessing via sickbeard. However after the upgrade this is no long working. Has anyone run into the same issues?

Your autoProcessTV config file probably has been overwritten as you used the version in the RAM (/usr/local/sickbeard). To tackle this issue just copy the files from the autoProcessTV-folder from /usr/local/sickbeard to your datadir (an empty autoProcessTV-folder should already reside there).
