June 28, 201214 yr After finally getting a cache drive I was looking forward to moving all of these apps over to my unraid server. Unfortunately I am also getting a problem with the SABnzbd plugin, the plugin installs but the program does not. Whenever I click the install button I get a message that it is installing, then an OK but it never actually installs. Can anyone help me? I am using the latest plugins from the master branch of W-W.
June 28, 201214 yr wow I'm still running sickbeard-0.4a-i468-1bw.plg glad I did that. Does anyone know of a reason I need to update??

June 28, 201214 yr Glad to see I'm not the only one with issues on this. I'm having essentially the same problems as everyone else. (Anyone have a different version on a SAB plg I can use while this mess gets sorted out?). I hate to see this community torn apart though. The plug in developers are really what makes an unRaid server worth using.
June 28, 201214 yr The problem appears to be caused by changes to the plugins own configuration files. I had a similar problem when I updated from a .plg file I download in May to the latest one from a couple of days ago. For some reason, the structure of the plugin config file has changed between versions. It's gone from looking like this: # sabnzbd configuration SERVICE="enable" INSTALLDIR="/mnt/cache/.sabnzbd" DATADIR="/mnt/cache/.sabnzbd" PORT="8082" RUNAS="nobody" INSTALLBETA="no" to this: # sabnzbd configuration SERVICE="enable" INSTALLDIR="/mnt/cache/.sabnzbd" DATADIR="/mnt/cache/.sabnzbd" RUNAS="nobody" PLG_STORAGESIZE="yes" PLG_DATACHECK="yes" I'm using Influencer's last branch version from the github that is before those changes were made. https://github.com/W-W/unRAID/tree/Influencer (Have to copy and paste code, raw takes you master with newer changes) Has the new SAB download fix for the latest version dir change on sourceforge but none of the newer code that appears to be broken. (attached) My config still looks like this: # sabnzbd configuration SERVICE="disable" INSTALLDIR="/usr/local/sabnzbd" DATADIR="/mnt/user/System/sabnzbd" PORT="8082" RUNAS="nobody" INSTALLBETA="no" Data is installed to a regular array drive (not a cache) Like I said worked perfectly on first use day before yesterday but then started hanging on install after a reboot with no changes to my system. Appeared to be the same issues you guys are having with the latest ww so I thought maybe the SAB guys did something with the download url again. But maybe my issues are different so you might try this one. sabnzbd_mod-influencer-062512.plg.txt
June 28, 201214 yr My SAB install has been hanging up for the past 2 or so weeks, but it would still end up running. This time appears to be quite different though. Even using the above plugin, it's hanging and not starting.
June 28, 201214 yr I tried the Influencer branch plg as well, with no luck. Instead I went back to an unMenu pkg for sabnzbd, which was working before I got the bright idea to switch to what I understand will be the best way to use plugins going forward(?). The plugin architecture is unclear for newbs, and if you follow the linked configuration tutorial when you first set up unRAID, you'll end up working with unMenu anyway. The sabnzbd unMenu install is simple and updated to 0.7 - just drop the file attached here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=14190.msg134204#msg134204 into the /root/packages directory, and install from the unmenu gui. The Couchpotato and Sickbeard plugins from here are giving me no issues. This whole process has left a bad taste in my mouth towards my unRAID experience, I must admit. Mostly my fault - I'm running unRAID and PMS on older hardware, and streaming out to the Plex client on Roku, but I've spent way more time setting things up and tweaking than I initially thought would be necessary, and, while everything works, the transcoding is slow... Even though I'm new to unRAID, I'm not completely new to this process; I did build a MythTV box about 6 years ago, but got tired of messing with it and ditched linux entirely because of time/money constraints and few output options (it worked pretty well on my computer monitor, but I never made the switch to the living room until now). When I upgrade the hardware, I may switch to an Ubuntu server solution (or even Windows), even though I'll be out the license $$ I had to spend to use a cache drive. It can be fun working this stuff out, but I just don't have the time to invest at this point in my life.
June 28, 201214 yr .... Ok, I'll bite, the reason for this new bug is an error with sourceforge, it is pointing at the old release instead of the new one, and URL structure has changed between the two releases, thats why its not downloading. I'm talking to the devs of sabnzbd to see if we can figure something out.... And to the user that asked if I would fork and continue maintaining these plug-ins, if enough users wanted it, yes.

You have my vote for a fork. Maybe I'm just resistant to change but I don't see the need for anything beyond what was already there other than to just to be maintained. The plugin was elegant in it's simplicity which is why I would prefer using your last version. Really what more options or changes do you need on the plugin or page than this?

I would prefer it if everybody could 'just get along'. We all want a stable plugin, that's properly tested, and which works. If that's not possible with the current situation, then I'd vote for a fork.

Hell, I'd donate to the cause of constant set of 100% stable plugins.

June 28, 201214 yr A little update on the problem with sab, it seems sourceforge has changed how the downloads work, there is a "token" of sorts issued with each download, so there is no way to directly get the file without being redirected. wget still downloads the file fine, but looks like it doesn't close the connection afterwards so the rest of the script never runs
June 28, 201214 yr Current URL on sourceforge is http://sourceforge.net/projects/sabnzbdplus/files/sabnzbdplus/0.7.0/SABnzbd-0.7.0-src.tar.gz/download I just did a manual wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/sabnzbdplus/files/sabnzbdplus/0.7.0/SABnzbd-0.7.0-src.tar.gz/download, and it redirected and got the download and completed without problems... what is the plugin trying to use for a url? Myk
June 28, 201214 yr Hi folks, here are some new Plugins to install and control SABnzbd+, SickBeard and CouchPotato. Dependencies necessary to run these apps will be installed automatically. If the app isn't found in the configured directory, the latest version will be downloaded and installed. All the apps will be started, when the array is started, if they were configured and enabled previously. The configured user will automatically be created, if it doesn't exist. (but i recommend using "nobody" or "root") Additionally SABnzbd has an easy update function in the plugins webgui. These Plugins uses the new Plugin Installer system, so UnRaid v5b11+ is a requirement. The installation is quite simple, just download the plg files for the plugins you want to use and copy them to your flash drive into the config/plugins folder. Then reboot your server or run "installplg /boot/config/plugins/<NAME OF THE PLUGIN>.plg" Download: http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/sabnzbd/sabnzbd-0.4c-i468-bw.plg http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/sickbeard/sickbeard-0.4a-i468-1bw.plg http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/couchpotato/couchpotato-0.5-i468-bw.plg Changelog for SABnzbd+: 0.1 initial release 0.2 added Port configuration for sickbeard and couchpotato, nicer select for user and some bug fixes 0.3 added support for extra data dir, install to ramdisk, drop of sabnzbddependencies package, nicer shutdown for sabnzbd 0.4 fixed a bug, when installed to ramdisk 0.4a updated to multicore par2 (thanks prostuff1 for package and url) 0.4b workaround if shutdown via apikey doesn't work 0.4c fixed included updater (before the version number wasn't read correctly if longer than 3 numbers) Changelog for Sickbeard: 0.1 initial release 0.2 added Port configuration for sickbeard and couchpotato, nicer select for user and some bug fixes 0.3 added support for extra data dir, install to ramdisk, drop of sabnzbddependencies package, nicer shutdown for sabnzbd 0.4 fixed a bug, when installed to ramdisk 0.4a added sqlite dependency package Changelog for Couchpotato: 0.1 initial release 0.2 added Port configuration for sickbeard and couchpotato, nicer select for user and some bug fixes 0.3 added support for extra data dir, install to ramdisk, drop of sabnzbddependencies package, nicer shutdown for sabnzbd 0.4 fixed a bug, when installed to ramdisk 0.4a added sqlite dependency package 0.5 added installer function to webgui (used as an updater), settings are saved when plugin is disabled. ToDo: fix a hang, when starting sickbeard (workaround: wait some seconds, then reload page) update of couchpotato doesn't work, if installdir and datadir are on different disks. (this is a bug inside of couchpotato!) (workaround: stop couchpotato and click the install button) WARNING: Don't use the update function of couchpotato. It WILL break your install (see todo above) since version 0.5 of the plugin, you can use the install button in the webgui to reinstall the latest version of couchpotato Screenshots: ' Gedtting 404 not found when clicking on the link. Can we maybe get a sticky with the updated links for the plugins?
June 28, 201214 yr The wget succeeds but (and I suppose this is from the redirect) never closes the connection so the script doesn't continue Sent from my HTC Vivid
June 29, 201214 yr Yes but before the direct link didn't force the countdown page, now it does. Atleast I'm pretty sure it never did.... Had surgery today so a little out of it, Sent from my HTC Vivid
June 29, 201214 yr Quick fix to get everyone up and running, this is an older version, don't bother using the installbeta, I completely disabled it for this release. This release is hardcoded to use 0.7.0 for now, and I am ONLY releasing this as a temporary fix until it can be fixed elegantly. Just remove your current plg(or rename it to something other than .plg) and put this one in, reboot or run: installplg /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd_hardcoded.plg Again, this is a temp fix, using an old (but known stable) version I have saved. Get it HERE!
June 29, 201214 yr No problem, I'm still talking to the Sab devs about a more elegant solution. One spoke of a json interface that would do what we need, but couldnt remember its url. I have other ideas, but as I said earlier, had surgery today so not operating at 100%. We will get there though! Sent from my HTC Vivid
