This seems pretty close to a public disclosure that diagnostics had sensitive information in it before now. Re unraid forums: Maybe the unraid team should be sending a message to anyone with a *-d

  • There have been multiple reports of issues with the Realtek driver plugin after upgrading to 6.12.14, the stock in-tree driver should still work fine, if you have the driver plugin installed it may be

It is at the top of the Release Notes that you are meant to read before updating.

I did read the release notes as I always check for potential issues before upgrading but I guess I missed it or it wasn't obvious to me at least.

TL;DR

There is a note about the Realtek issue on the release notes hyperlink, but not on the release notes you see on the Unraid GUI which is why I missed it.

EDIT:

I've just noticed that the release notes aren't the full release notes and I didn't realise that. There's a link on the release notes to the release notes....?!! somewhat confusing.

I think it might be a good idea to have this called out in the notes you see on the Unraid server GUI itself to stop others missing it like I did.

So I'm getting the windows security error.  I added a user in Unraid as suggested in the release notes.  However, when I try to connect to my shares, I get the error message "the user can't sign in because this account is currently disabled".

I uninstalled the Realtek driver Plugin, and I was able to upgrade to this new unARID OS without any issues. I've done this with six of my unRAIDs, so far.

I still need to see how this MS update affects me. I'm installing it on one PC right now.

Upgraded all 3 of my servers without any issues, although I delayed this a month to read thru all the issues others had but all 3 machines went smooth with no issues with the VM's that I could see :)

What's up everyone! Just wanted to share that I upgraded smoothly from 6.12.13 to 6.12.14 two days ago with no noticeable issues.

Running to a strange issue while upgrading:

I had RTL8125B plugin installed in my unraid, so before upgrade I uninstalled it, then upgrade to 6.12.14.

Slow smb speed in stock driver(60% less), so I install the plugin again, rebooted.

Unraid shows my nic was at 100m mode, uninstalled the plugin again and reboot, network back to 2500m, but still slow smb speed.

Checking /config/plugins-error found out there is a RTL8125 plugin in there, deleted it and reinstall the plugin, smb speed back to normal 249mb/s

Don't know where did it go wrong, but I somehow fix it?

I noticed when you run /etc/rc.d/rc.libvirt status on version 6.12.x it doesn't return anything but when you run the same command on version 7.0 RC it returns libvirt daemon is currently running.

Looks like issue with libvirt RC script on 6.12.x versions

Upgraded, but rolled back.

Network works for half a minute after booting before not responding again. Restarting `/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 restart` makes it work again for another half a minute before network being unresponsive again.

Info:
- NO Realtek plugin installed (never had)
- Running on a Realtek RTL8111H

Please create a new bug report and post the diagnostics.
