Heads up, this plugin version is not actively maintained. Folderview3 is where you will want to go for the latest requests https://forums.unraid.net/topic/197223-plugin-folderview3/

I need to check what's going on with the containers not staying in their folders in the beta version, and somehow simulate it on my test boxes. Hopefully within next weak I can have this fixed.

Awesome, thanks! It's not a huge big deal to me, just wanted to make sure it was reported.

Let me know if I can provide anything to help diagnose the issue.

I can try and install the beta version to test it, I'm not familiar with manually installing the plugin with the files you provided though.

Just wanted to say thank you for picking up support of this plugin! Much appreciated :)

Hi, first of all, thank you for the work of recovering the plugin, it is very useful to me, but since the update to the CA version of Unraid, the webui button (1) no longer works. I have to press the Docker logo and then the webui (2) 17319c93-ad30-4837-9aba-59620db01fbb.pngin the drop-down menu. Is there a fix for this problem? Thank you for your help.

@BalHaise yes this is known issue, and actually fixed in beta release, if you scroll bit back its here as files. But when I tried to release it some people experienced mixed dockers in wrong folders... so I had to pull it back and waiting for weekend to have some time and try to fix it (I'm having hard time replicate the issue though )

@VladoPortos do we just have to download those files and replace them in the plugins directory?

Manual installation:
Save your configs first ! export in plugin tab go to folder view and export all

Remove the FolderView from plugin by uninstalling it.

Manual installation

  1. Copy the folder.view2.plg file to /boot/config/plugins/ folder.

  2. Copy the latest 'folder.view2-.txz' archive to /boot/config/plugins/folder.view2/ folder.

  3. In Unraid webui go to Plugins -> Install Plugin tab, click on the folder config -> plugins -> folder.view2.plg and press install button.

  4. Use the Import to import the setting you exported...

If you get mismatched dockers in folders like some people there is guide few post back how to enable debug mode, and to get the logs. I would ask you to send me personal message here with the logs it should help pinpoint the issue.

You should consider making a sticky post with information about the state of the plugin and manual install instructions to avoid answering the same questions over and over again.

I just updated to unraid 7.1.2 and was greeted by folderview not working. i came to this thread and installed beta and so far everything seems to be working. I haven't dived deep into it but at first glance i can launch my webui's now and edit folders. Will this be available in CA?

@BigNavy yes this is because of the type of network the container is using "container:GlueturnVPN" and the plugin is not expecting that option. I will have to adjust that.

Did you get containers in wrong folders in the beta version ?

Edited by VladoPortos

@VladoPortos I actually didn't export my previous folderview setting files. It's like 5 minutes or so to setup my containers with folderview2 so I wanted to start from scratch on your beta. However, after rebooting on 7.01, my containers in that snip, stayed that way, all good. I upgraded to 7.1.2 and the container folder stayed the same, all good. Sorry I can't be more help there.

So you think you can adjust folderview2 to account for the "container:GluetunVPN"? Like I said, I hadn't see anyone mention routing through a VPN container so I did. :-). Thanks for your efforts on this! Your time and expertise is appreciated. Have a great weekend and I look forward to more testing.

Yes I think so, I need to create it in test and see what the php returns for that, maybe just look for "container:" so its more general... need to test and see what happens :D I just need to find time, hopefully this weekend.

Its the VMs Folder working for you?

On my Site he show wrong group's.

New VMs showed to Folders but I don't added him to this.

After I added the VM to a folder he showed no difference. He showed added in the Folder Setting but not on the VM Page.

Yea I did not touch VM folders and it might suffer from the issue the docker had ( and should be fixed ) I need to check the VM folders too

Just wanted to provide some feedback. I have an UnRaid Backup and Test Servers.

On the Backup I had a flash drive issue this morning. Server booted fine and at some point after backing up production server to it became unresponsive connecting via web browser. Connected peripherals to it and I had some sort of odd error on screen and I was booting to BIOS which indicated to me a flash drive issue of some kind. Removed the flash drive, reinserted and rebooted via the CLI. Parity check started and I cancelled it.

Backup: Folderview dated 2/26 has been installed but missing the global webgui and most containers are routed through Gluetun VPN. I edited a handful of containers under advanced view and actually typed in the Backup Server IP and port for that container. Viola, I can connect to the container fine on UnRaid 7.1.2 and Folderview (original) dated 2/26/25. So in my test case just editing the container template at WebGUI and just typing in my IP:Port seems to work fine now.

Test Server: Running UnRaid 7.1.2. Running Folderview2 Beta via manual install. Just editing the container template at WebGUI like above seems to work fine.

Rebooted both Backup and Test and the global WebGUI icon remained. Both boxes took a handful of seconds longer to load the Dockers tab than before but I'm chalking this up to a start after I added the IP:Port to each containers WebGUI template. After they initially loaded, they're quite responsive.

Just sharing this easy workaround until a more permanent Folderview2 is further tested and released.

thanks for taking the time to update the plugin (as someone who has made some very basic plugins i understand how frustrating the back end is to play with)

i just blatted and redid my folders works like a charm

❤️

The Dashboard Folders are not working too.

He are not correct sorted or collected by the Docker Folders.

The collaption are not working to correctly through the wrong sorted/grouped.

I just updated to your beta version, and it seems to work like a charm here (using Unraid 7.1.3). Thank you so much for your hard work! 😇

I have updated to the beta version and things are a bit messed up on the dashboard. containers are not displaying in the correct folders, everything looks fine on the docker tab
