Heads up, this plugin version is not actively maintained. Folderview3 is where you will want to go for the latest requests https://forums.unraid.net/topic/197223-plugin-folderview3/

He may get a lot of PMs which he can't keep up with, maybe @Squid would help as a different tactic. ;)

Suggestion: When it does get put into CA make sure the "Support thread" link for the plugin points here - the folderview2 I have installed is still pointing to the old thread FYI ;)

Thanks for picking this up.  Any plans to make it available for 6.12.x users?  I can't add any containers to folders using the old version and I can't install this version because I'm not on 7.x 😭

Same boat. Just waiting for 7.1 so I can get with the times. :-D

I'm guessing it's stable enough.  Tailscale in containers sounds like it might be my reason to upgrade but everything is running so smoothly now I just can't make myself do it. /torn

I have 7.0 running fine on two servers (though I am pushing no boundaries with their functions). But my main server I have held back waiting for a .1 release to make myself feel better. :-D

I suggest NOT spending time to make compatible with 6.X.
Really, the base should be 7.X for 99.99% of users.
People that are scared to move, just do it.
Yes 7.1 is a nice point to switch, it is "any day now". I also waited for 7.0.1 so I don't blame you.

In the meantime I waiting to finally SEE this in apps.

Agreed on all points.

The other reason I am waiting to install FolderView2 on my main server is an "official" install route via Community Apps.

I had this attitude... until the 6.12 macvlan disaster that took weeks for me to sort.

Trying to explain that the lights don't work in the house to my wife and movies aren't available to my kids only to be met with angry glares is not something I'm looking to repeat 😂🧐

I remember this.
Yet, a rare occasion.

(I am using UNRAID for several years).

7.0.1 is fine.
While I was to move from 6.X to 7.X my whole server (hardware-wise) crashed and took me weeks to fix and ended up keeping only my array storage and RAM! EVERYTHING else, changed. Motherboard changed twice.
(you can find the relevant threads THREE OR FOUR of them -as new issues kept pilling up- in the forum here)
In other words, sh*t happens.

In any case, this is FolderView2 thread, so... let's hope for good news about that soon.

Also had this issue and after/still have some packets lost every second, but 7.0.1 really fine.

This still isn't in the CA store? thats wild.

Agreed. I'm wondering where the hang-up is.

@VladoPortos any updates from Squid?

Edited by Mattaton

Squid is a busy person... He will get to it when he can.

also if the xml isn't just right it will never show on the CA. Had a issue once with my dockers repo where I made updates only to find that the xml didn't pass inspection and failed, thus CA took it down until the repo xml was in working order...

Not sure of the checks for unriad plugins...

Well, this thread made the ‘Unraid newsletter’. Hopefully a bit of attention will help getting it into the App Store!

If 'sideloading', will it auto-update when added to Community Apps, or is it best to wait until it's added for now?

I can't tell when it will be added, so if you need it side load :)

Am I the first to see it's there now? 😝

Good spot, it is indeed, woooo! Will switch over later today.

Thank you for your efforts keeping this plugin alive @VladoPortos

Just switch over to the new version. Very happy it's working again. Thanks @VladoPortos!

Glad new version is out.

I am missing an important thing (that I don't know if it can be fixed).
I miss the ability to define the start sequence of containers, for the containers that are INSIDE a folder (like we can for containers outside folders).
This is the reason I still don't use this plugin.

Also, I would love a default set of folder icons (or at least the default to be A FOLDER not a question mark!).

For docker "sequence" you can use the docker-compose extension and the depends-on property

Thanks. But still would be nice to have the same functionality (with lock icon and arrows) like the default docker page.

I didn't realize this was missing. So you can't reorder the containers within a folder?

If that's broken on this version, then that's a massive missing piece to the plug-in. We have to be able to set the auto-start order. That's a must.

I see how to assign an icon to a folder; am I missing a way to also assign icons to individual containers with this plugin? (I use docker compose so all my containers just show up as a question mark. It's pretty ugly.)
