March 24Mar 24 @chodeus thank you for this plugin. I tried FolderView Plus and it was far too complicated for a simple thing i was looking for, so i just switched to this and it's perfect / simple / exactly what i need. I am using the embossed for now, thank you for that simple customization.

If you have any suggestions or notice any bugs let me know. You'll see some regular updates rolling through but they'll mainly be me tweaking visuals or improving custom CSS support for those that like to build their own themes.Happy to have another user!
March 25Mar 25 Finally getting around to migrating to FolderView3. All went well. Still seems to work well with my custom CSS.@Masterwishx have you had to tweak anything in particular on the CSS to work with FV3?Thanks for picking up the torch, @chodeus

Some things on your unmodifird CSS will be fine but others won’t be. Black, white and grey themes on @Masterwishx ’s main branch are fully compatible by my standard. This is mainly because of added features. Edited March 25Mar 25 by chodeus

Thanks @chodeus for taking care of this nice plugin! 😎
March 27Mar 27 Just updated to 2026.03.27 and there are a couple of display anomalies.TL;DR:When Preview Overflow is set to Expand Row, the icons wrap, but the rows do not expand vertically to accommodate them. They all seem to be related to the Preview Overflow field being set to Expand Row, and it actually needing to expand the row height due to overflow. The formatting is a bit weird here, because I thought I had 3 different issues, but now I realize they're all tied to the same thing.1) In one folder, there are 3 Containers displayed, two of them are piled on top of each other. However, there are only 2 containers in this folder:I just realized that the 2nd container listed here an overflow from the folder above2) In a second folder, the first 3 containers are overlaid with an additional 3. There are a total of 9 containers in this folder, and the Preview overflow is set to "expand row".3) In that same folder, when I click the orange drop down icon to expand the folder, the 3 containers that should be on row 2 now appear on a second row, but they overlap the text of the first container in the folder:These are definitely new and weren't there yesterday, prior to the update.I almost forgot to add: THANK YOU chodeus for picking this up and running with it! It was a great piece of work that has been abandoned by others. Thank you for fostering it back to health and I hope it has a permanent home with you. Edited March 27Mar 27 by Free Man

I use the expand option too.Have you tried a hard refresh at all? CTRL + Shift + R??If that doesnt work please feedback what browser, device and overflow settings you are using on adjacent folders so I can troubleshoot a little more. Also are you running a compose manager plugin at all?EDIT: I think I found the issue, are you refreshing the page with advanced view on?EDIT2: This should be fixed in todays version, if you can do a hard refresh and confirm (as it looks good for me) that would be great thankyou. And thanks again for picking this up - it's greatly appreciated!!
March 29Mar 29 For some reason after the latest update the folders in the docker tab (not sure about the vm tab, i dont use that) are basically full width, adding a scrollbar at the bottom. This was not the case prior to this udpate

March 29Mar 29 Is the a way to order the Folder once they are created?Like if i want to have "Database" at the bottom ?
March 29Mar 29 Author 13 minutes ago, Yusseiin said:Is the a way to order the Folder once they are created?Like if i want to have "Database" at the bottom ?Just unlock the view by clicking the green padlock on the top right of your screen so it unlocks the view and then you can drag them to whatever order you like, then click the padlock again so it turns green once you’re happy with the order. And containers on the right edge ar cut off here:This was not the case before. There was no scrollbar, containers were just hidden when there were too many. Its not even all containers showing, the meilisearch container in the bottom row is not even the last in that folder, there are still 2 more containers

(Just so I can load it up to rule it out)I assume you’ve done a hard refresh on your browser just in case? When I get onto my PC I’ll load more containers into a single folder and see what happens but so far my containers clip like they’re meant to.I’ll look into it more but that shouldn’t be happening. I tried to replicate it this morning on Firefox but I didn’t have as many containers as you in a folder. I’ll keep looking into it.

Do you have any other plugins installed that modify the docker page? Eg. FolderView Plus?I think I know the problem (firefox and edge related) but my issue is I cant replicate it in firefox with cleared cache with 11 containers on a screen thats 5120 wide so it's going to make it hard for me to prove the fix before I roll it out.EDIT: Does it improve if you dont have advanced view on? Also tried to replicate the same problem in chrome and there its exactly the same as in edge (so same problem as in firefox, but with thicker scrollbar)

I'll keep you posted. For now, you could hide some of those containers from preview unless you like seeing them all available or change your preview overflow mode to scroll should resolve it.
March 29Mar 29 Hi @chodeusI just moved over from FolderView2. Thank you for taking the time to make this plugin I interact with every day have full functionality againI am encountering the exact same issue as @Joly0 when I have my Preview Overflow set to Default. Hoping this can be fixed in a future updateI am currently on unRAID 7.2.4, accessing webUI from Google Chrome on a Mac, and I do not have the Docker Compose plugin installed. This occurs with both Advanced View and Basic View enabledFolderView3 version: 2026.03.28.1 Edited March 29Mar 29 by loyalsnoopdoge Simplified post to not take up as much screen space. Added more details about my setup for diagnosis purposes
