Where do I find the db-Backups?

 

backups are in your data directory - go to the plugin settings page and it's listed under Data directory.

 

find / -name "db_backup"

 

should work as there's no s on the dirname, at least on my install.

My SB recently stopped working.  I believe the server cannot access thetvdb or any of the search providers.

 

When I try to add any new show, I get an error message that says:

 

Unable to add show

Unable to look up the show in DIRECTORY NAME on TVDB, not using the NFO. Delete .nfo and add manually in the correct language.

 

and it adds this to the Logs & Errors:

First, I updated SB to the most recent release in Influencer's sig.. then I checked my router and Enable DHCP Server is checked.  I also tried adding it to the DHCP Reservations List but that did not help.

 

I ran "ipconfig eth0" in telnet to check the IP address and it is indeed the same address that shows up on my router configurations as well as the network settings in the unraid menu.

 

 

 

Does anyone have any ideas?

 

 

I believe I fixed by changing the "Run as user" from "other" to "root" in the SickBeard settings on my tower.  I don't know why "other" seemed to have randomly stopped working, though (and Sab is set to Other and seems to be working fine).

For the last few weeks CP on unRAID has not been working. In the log it shows

I have identical settings for the last 8 months on unRAid without a problem and the same settings still work with CP on my W7 machine. Tripled checked unRAID settings and are still the same. Would a fresh install solve it?

Im trying to install sab and it just crashes my unraid server.  My ip connection remains but the gui totally dies and I have to do a hard reboot of the server to get back in.  When I boot back into safe mode I am able to delete the plg file and then I am able to restart my server.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a work around, stop couchpotato in the GUI->Settings.

Edit the settings.cfg in /boot/config/plugins/couch....

I changed the "from" and "to" in the configuration file.

Then start up couchpotato in the Server GUI again.

Once I started up couchpotato again the fields in the plugin, under the renamer , populated.

I seem to remember this is because one of the packages that needs to install as part of the plg fails.  Have a look at your syslog or the screen as it is installing all of the packages within the plg and see if any fail to install.  I think I had to change some of the urls in the plg to avoid this, but struggling to remember which.

A question about Couchpotato.

 

I'm currently trying to make it work with torrents (Transmission) and I was wondering how does Couchpotato sends the torrent file to Transmission?  Does Couchpotato just download the torrent file and put it in the Transmission watch folder or does it actually send it to Transmission without using the Transmission watch folder?

i recall not too long ago there was some issue that required me to reinstall, but i'm not sure if this was it...

since your install is on your cache drive, you might want to rename your cp dir, reinstall it, then copy your config/dbs back and try to start it up. if that doesn't work, just reinstall and see if it starts with a fresh config.

I thought I was using the latest one, where can i download the latest, I used the link in the first post for the one I have.

Ehm, quick question. Is the Transmission plugin supposed to save settings, active torrents etc. on the usb drive as default? Doesn't seem like mine did over a reboot.

Alright, got the alternate sickbeard up. I'm not going to throw it on github but it is on my dropbox. If enough users think a second sickbeard would be beneficial I will put it on github.

 

I'll up the link, and if there are any major changes to the plug-ins, for example if sickbeard totally breaks for some reason, I'll fix it, but small changes I will not port to this. Consider it an unofficial release. Reason for this is supporting these can lead to major headaches (multiple versions of the same plug-in to run multiple instances) and could up my workload exponentially.

Also, introducing a work-around plug-in by user sensine, anetwait.plg . This plug-in waits for internet access before continuing to work around an issue some users have had with plug-ins not being able to download because they are ran before the network is available.

Although not sure i need another instance running now as I found SB supports multiple directories for separating libraries.

 

I don't suppose there's al alt version for CP as this doesn't support multiple directories.

 

(I separate kids and adults movies on my unRAID server)

Just out of interest, why would you want to install more than one version of sick beard IF it can already organise to multiple directories?

I had assumed because of needed separate directories but since I found out SB handles that anyway, I can't think of a reason. Think CP would definitely need another instance running though

I did this so I could have anime/cartoons downloaded and NOT notify or update my XBMC when new shows were downloaded. I like the updating for my "real" shows.

This may have been mentioned before, but are there any plans for a Torrent agent that can utilize BTGuard? I hate having my Windows PC running all the time for torrenting.

 

Torrents are new to me - I've always used usenet - so if there is another solution that can utilize some (other?) VPN then I'm all game - or if there is a way to get Transmission to work with a VPN (and a recommendation).

I recently upgraded to 5rc15b, had issues with couchpotato, and thought, "Obviously 5rc15c would have them fixed." I was evidently wrong. Is anyone else having issues with the influencer plg on the new version of unRAID? and if so, what is the latest release that is stable?
