I have upgraded to v7, but I'm pretty sure the icons disappeared before the upgrade.  I feel like it happened around the same time the app completely broke, and once the container listing was fixed, I later noticed that the WebUI links were gone... I should have said something at the time, but didn't want to pile on with issue reports.

Odd – on one system, Tools/Update Assistant reported no issues.  I did the upgrade (a couple days ago) to 7.0.0 with no issues.  Controlrd works fine.  i7 11th gen 32gb memory.  3 drives plus 2 parity (5 total) for 18TB.

Other system, a few days later (today), ran Update Assistant and it warned about Unbalanced and ControlRD.  I de-installed both, did the upgrade (and rebooted of course) and reinstalled both, and they work fine.  Xeon E3-1230 [email protected] memory.  9 drives plus 2 parity (11 total) for 126TB.

Both running UnRAID OS Pro.

fixed the issue with the icon to open docker's web ui in 6.9.4

Oh, man, thank you!  Works like a charm.  Much appreciated.

can confirm, the webUI icons are back and work.

unfortunately, the start, stop, restart icons no longer do anything for me.

no info in /var/log/controlrd.log, so I assume the problem is localized to the app.

it works!  thanks :)

When i use http connection, the app will not connect to gui's using Tailscale IPs or LAN IPs using tailscale subnet route.  Only local LAN IPs work.  It used to work so what changed and how do I fix it?

mm that's odd, when did it change for you ? should work normally

it works for me, although i use wireguard directly, tailscale should be the same since it uses wireguard internally as well

I'm not sure when exactly.  I installed the app about 6 months ago if I can remember correctly, and it did work with remote LAN IPs at that time.  Then I kinda forgot about it until a few weeks ago and it doesn't work now.  Do you think its due to the ping time of 300+ ms?  I tried both QR code and manual, and manual both LAN IP and tailscale IP.

I haven't done extensive testing on this, but I feel like there was a change awhile ago that preferred https connections and especially liked the myunraid.net url?  I could be wrong though.

I allow unraid to manage the certificate for me and run tailscale directly on the unraid server via the plugin.  When going to Settings > Management Access, it will list both the local myunraid.net address and the tailscale myunraid.net address.  Then, in the controlrd app, if I paste the tailscale url into the Import screen while connected to tailscale, it connects without issue.

The other option that works, is to enable a tailscale node on your network as an exit node; I've tested this with my router and my unraid server.  When doing this, I don't need a separate entry in controlrd as my local IPs are reachable when I tell my tailscale client to use an exit node.

I don't use the myunraid.net plugin or url.  I have no need for it.

As previously stated, http does work for LAN IPs, so it has to be a latency thing.

These are separate things.

Allowing unraid to manage your certificate is just that, a trusted certificate to avoid browser warnings.  It does not enable remote access.

Unraid Connect is the remote access (and flash backup) plugin.  You can use Unraid Connect for only the backup functionality, and disable the remote access, but use of Unraid Connect is separate from the myunraid.net certificate management (but probably requires it).

Ok, but the problem is that I can use the app via a LAN IP with latency of 1ms, but I cannot use the app via a LAN IP with latency of average 333ms.  So there is some issue with how quickly the app decides that a host is offline when using http

How long does it take to appear in the app store?  I'm still on version 6.9.5 but I am happy to report that I can add my servers using a LAN IP exposed via Tailscale, whereas a few months ago it was timing out saying offline.  So that's good!  Thanks!

I see it already in the Apple AppStore.

Looking all good over Tailscale.

Hi, I've just recently bought controlr, but when I enter in my server details I'm getting nothing but instant app crashing, that's with using both just tailscale IP and the myunraidurl. Im completely stumped, running the latest app, plugin, android app and unraid 7.1.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?

haven't heard this behavior before, are you using https ? what method are you using to add the server ?

Using Http and using the tailscale IP. Once I enter the information, it crashes the app and it unable to access it again until I clear the apps full data

So I'm not going to lie, I'm mega confused now, I have a galaxy fold 5 and i was using the big screen when trying to add it and it was doing the crashing, but as soon as I've used the small screen and it went through perfectly fine and is now working, confused to say the most 🤣🫠 UPDATE: So yeah I've done some testing and it seems when adding a server on the big inner screen i can replicate the crashing, as soon as i use the outer screen, works perfectly fine, not sure what the cause is. But glad I managed to fix it haha
