May 15, 20179 yr What XML configuration would be needed to run Android on a vm within unRAID. Looking at doing this as a budget setup with my echo to control my TV, using something like Anymote or Broadlink RM Pro. Reason is some of the setup that don't use a SmartHub need an always on Android device to bridge to the echo figured why waste a tablet or phone if a Android VM can be used. Just clueless on the howto as far as getting Android VM up and going on unRAID.
May 15, 20179 yr Android generally runs on the ARM architecture instead of x86, which unRaid's KVM does not currently support. In order to get this to work you would have to run say a Windows VM with an Android emulator running within it. Probably far far easier with less aggravation to make use of that old phone sitting in your drawer with the cracked screen that you're never going to use...

May 15, 20179 yr There is a thread around here somewhere with someone trying to get android running on unraid. I think they partly succeeded but it wasn't really usable. On mobile so search sucks. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
